SpringHill Suites Winchester

We've stayed here several times and it is our first choice for staying the night in Winchester, here's why. The couch is actually 3rd bed, comfortable and large enough for my 15 yr old and has a trundle. So the queen room would sleep a family of 6 no problem. The breakfast is the most decent you'd find at this price level: Coffee is stronger than most, there are plenty of hot options. My kids have fun in the pool after a day of driving. Bathroom layout is nice, with plenty of counter space and larger bottles of toiletries. This location is great; there's a Chick-Fil-A, Texas Roadhouse, Red Robin, Target, Starbucks etc in a shopping center area that the hotel is a part of.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed and the only negative is that the shower drain was broken. The front desk looked at it as there was no maintenence on duty. She would not change us to a new room and said just shower anyway even though it was wide open and would not catch the hair or anything else that fell down it. I was a little uncomfortable with that.

I was told there were sheets and blanket for the trundle bed located in the closet area. Once we were slowed down to the point of making the beds we realized there was only a small blanket and a terrible flat pillow in the closet. It was really late and I didn’t want to bother the staff downstairs. We just made it work with other blankets. My other issue is why can’t we put real locks on bathroom doors. The door didn’t even close with a latch. I like to feel secure when I’m in a clear door shower and a door that actually looks. Also the tv was not positioned so that it could be seen from both beds.

The scenery was beautiful. The room was spacious. The closet was large enough to walk in. The room was very clean. Breakfast was a morning buffet. There was a hot liquid station for coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. There was an orange juice and apple juice dispenser. Hot food offerings included oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and a breakfast sandwich. There was also a waffle making station.

The pillows on the bed could have been more supportive. The toilet was quite small and low to the ground. The air conditioning needed to be stronger for the size of the room.

The hotel was very clean as was the room. The room was large and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. There was a large variety of food for breakfast. The location was great and offered many dining options within a short distance.

The pool was very small. Staff had a difficult time keeping up with the amount of people that came down for breakfast. Most things were gone within a half hour after the start of breakfast. By the time they were able to bring out more food, breakfast was half over. I could see someone being upset if they were on a business trip and didnt have the time to wait for more food to come out.

The toilet in the first room was broken and the staff at the front desk gave us another room with no hesitation or problems. She was lovely. The breakfast attendant was lovely as well. Will be staying again!

The toilet seat in the first room was broken. The toilet seat in the second room was loose. Seems like somebody vomited in the second room and it wasn't cleaned up completely, but didn't realize it until this morning due to being so tired last night.

liked the room layout, space and usefulness of all the fixtures, seating and bedding. The overall clean simple modern styling of the entire complex In the rooms, in the complex and outside the complex was great.

Breakfast served too late compared to many places i've stayed. One can start grabbing something to eat around 5:45am or by 6am for sure. My biggest issue was that the bathroom door allows way too much light through. So even with the dimmest light fixture on in the bathroom. It casts a tremendous glow into the room for anyone trying to sleep.

the suite was roomy and clean. the beds were comfortable as was the trundle. the handicap shower was great

the handicap shower allowed water on the bathroom floor that did not go to the floor drain. poor engineering. the handicap ramp in the back of the building is not clearly painted. I tripped and fell where the level difference was one inch. I was not injured beside some scrapes and bruises. Bit this is a potential liability for the hotel.

This facility was the nicest most clean hotel we stayed in throughout our whole 10 day trip in 3 different states. It also had the best free breakfast we have had in any hotel. I myself am gluten free and there was so many breakfast options it was hard to choose! We loved it here so much we wished it could have been the hotel we stayed in for the whole trip!

We like this hotel for the layout and size of the rooms, as well as the cleanliness.

Apparently housekeeping services were only provided every other day of your stay. This was not disclosed at booking or at check-in at the hotel. We were traveling with a newborn and would not necessarily have booked this hotel had we known that/could have been more prepared to dispose of diapers, etc. had we known.

Breakfast was good. Really enjoyed the size of the room and short distance to the elevator.

The curbless shower ran water all over that end of the bathroom floor to the point we had to walk through a puddle to leave the shower. A real mess and a hygiene issue too.
