La Quinta by Wyndham Winchester

Hotel is overall clean and my room was sparkling clean and comfortable. Breakfast was generous with a few hot choices like scrambled eggs, bacon and Belgium waffles. Hotel has a lobby seating area in addition to the tables in the breakfast area. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Personally, I hate the non ambient glare of LED lighting throughout the property. I stayed in a wheelchair accessible room on the second floor and when the fire alert system went off, I realized that I would not be able to exit the bldg if the elevator was disabled. This was a false alarm limited to activation in my room by a button in the hallway to get the attention of a blind or deaf guest. Nice concept but overkill that scared the bejezus out of me and caused me to dress and grab my belongings for exit from the perceivable bldg on fire. I travel a lot and never b4 encountered this horrific system. Also note that the step up breakfast area is not wheelchair friendly when you have to enter by a heavy back door and the coffee bar is on the lower level.

The front desk person (Natalie?) was super energetic and so willing to provide information. She was so warm and welcoming. Her attitude and friendliness was a nice end to a long day of driviing. She put us in a better mood. The room was clean and nice. Location was good, many places to eat, shop close by.

There wasnt anyting bad about this place but if I had to write something, I did not like how if my room blinds were open to let in light, I could see directly into the hotels rooms of the hotel next door. Also had to go to the 5th floor to get ice as other ice machine was down. Not too big of a deal though.

The room and the hotel in general were very nice and clean.

The lady who did our check in was watching a football game at the same time and we felt she was rushing us when we tried to ask questions about breakfast, laundry etc. Also we paid for breakfast but we were told at reception that there won't be any breakfast the next day, and no compensation was offered. The day we actually had breakfast, there wasn't much variety to chose from.

Nice easy access to I-81. The bathroom set up is very nice - large shower. Breakfast was really good. Nice common area, gym and pool. Lots of parking. The bed was really comfortable and they gave you plenty of pillows to choose from.

For a new hotel - it was pretty beat up - base boards were scuffed, tile grout was coming out etc. We got two shampoos and no conditioner. No lotion either. You can hear some traffic noise - but after 9 pm that's much better.

Room was great. Clean, no smell and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Gym and pool were great amenities. Staff was also super welcoming to our pup. Location was great and so close to downtown Winchester.

Breakfast options were good but would have liked hot oatmeal and fresh eggs. The eggs tasted like powder eggs. The shower also did not have a shelf for the soap and shampoo/conditioner. Would have also appreciated having lotion.

For the pet traveling people this place will do well for you. We had our two little besties with us and we were very comfortable. Nice clean room, ok breakfast, close dog yard with sanitary bags, easy check-in, plenty of parking.

There was an issue with a malfunctioning hall light on our floor. I met an employee in the elevator who when I mentioned the light told me I would have to tell the front desk. Said she didn't work on that floor. I'm thinking "you work in this hotel, right?" The only real negative I had there.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast had many choices and it was nice to have coffee and hot water choices (tea and hot chocolate) available. I wished more snack items had been availabe in the lobby area as many of the restaurants in the area close at 10:00pm. The staff was very helpful and accomodatting.

pet friendly, which is a must. Clean room. friendly staff, good location and access to 81. Pet area was close by and easily accessible, it was near the busy road.

The benches at the end of the bed are on rollers, which is extremely dangerous for people, kids and pets. Because the floor is not carpeted, at least in my room on the 6th floor it was not) those benches roll all over the floor and one can easily miss it and fall down. I would highly suggest, you take the rollers off and just make them stationary. They are not heavy and can easily be picked up and moved if needed. Trying to save you from potential liability cases if someone gets hurt or their pet does.

We were passing through Winchester during our move from TN to PA. We checked in close to midnight and planned on leaving between 5-6am. We initially checked out at 530am and had to return to the hotel due to the severity of the snow storm. It was way too dangerous to drive through. They allowed us to re-enter our same room and let us stay until check out at noon. We were so stressed but thankful for the accommodating staff members! Breakfast was delicious (omg the biscuits and gravy!!) and my husband & brothers were able to enjoy the pool. We were so very thankful we booked this hotel. Also, the hotel is dog friendly!! I recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here in the future if we’re in the area.

it was located near highway and the price was good and I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice young lady that checked is in she was so helpful she treated me with a smile on her face talk to us so nice I asked her if she could recommend a place to get dinner with me not being from the area she did we tried it and it was very nice so I would give her a 10 outa 10
