Auld Holland Inn

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was charmingly unique: I had shutters instead of curtains and a half canopy over my bed, and the hotel is outlined in cafe lights at night. This is both fun to look at and also makes the place easy to see from a distance. It is conveniently located right along the highway as you're entering Oak Harbor from the North. The breakfast items were convenient and just what I needed to get my day started. The wifi worked great for the work I brought back to my room. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area of Oak Harbor in the future.

My toilet flushed weakly and I had to hold down the handle through the entire flush to get it to work correctly. On the other hand, my sink was overly powerful and I splashed myself when I first turned it on. Lastly, one of my towels had a small section that was pulled and threadbare.

Everything was great! Even being right off Highway 20, I did not hear the traffic noise. Very quaint room, super comfortable, friendly staff, choices of breakfast, very clean (I used to be a head housekeeper so I always purposely check certain things lol) I got a great deal just minutes away from where I needed to be. Very lovely stay, highly recommend!

My only con was the water pressure and temperature while showering. Water wouldn't go above luke warm and very little pressure. Possibly could have been from too many people using the hot water in a short amount of time. Otherwise, my stay was extremely enjoyable.

The room wasn't real large but nice, comfortable and clean. The ladies who clean up do a really good job. No smells or anything. The beds we're comfortable for us, semi soft, not like boards at some places. We dealt with two different office ladies and they were both very nice. The breakfast was very good, much variety and fresh ( just be sure your there by 10 or you miss out) They say 10 so there should be a not problem unless you loollygag like we did on the 2nd morning :( :( . The 1st morning we did get up late but the breakfast was out until almost 11 so we didn't rush the 2nd morning, we should have, our fault. It was close to everything. We toured Whidby Island the day and our room made it very handy to tour the Island. Next time we're in Oak Harbor for overnight(s), we will surely stay at the Auld Holland. No, I'm not a friend or a relative, I'm just a regular traveler who likes a nice clean, safe, comfortable place to stay.

No complaints, not even a little one.

We loved the feel of this place! It was in the style of an old Dutch building with a windmill on the top that actually turned and a fountain outside! All the touches were very cute! We loved the wooden staircase inside and the wooden shoes in front of the fireplace in the lobby/breakfast area. We also went to the restaurant in the same parking lot (The Mill) that was built in the same style for breakfast the next morning. Very nice place! Probably the best motel I’ve stayed it in terms of quaintness and feel.

First, I want to state that I didn't want to stay in any cookie-cutter motel/hotel, I wanted something different. In this way I got exactly what I wanted, a very different looking, very charming and pretty hotel. I very much enjoyed the look of the hotel, and the grounds are beautiful. Check-in was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was great. The room was very nice, and also very clean. I liked it all. I very much appreciated the towels, which were large and excellent. I most definitely will be staying again.

I have no complaints. I was satisfied with everything. I had a most comfortable and restful visit.

We came to town to see our daughter and son in law's new place. We went to our room - one with a king sized bed and whirlpool tub. It was quaint. We were missing 2 bath towels, so when my husband inquired about them early the next morning the lady was beside herself apologizing profusly. The room seemed to be very clean. The bed wasn't bad, and the tv was fine too. but everything else was fine. The employees were outstanding!!!

When we arrived there was a note on the door saying that no one works in the office passed 9 pm. Initially I forgot what to expect for the decor here, so I was taken aback at first with allnof the wallpaper. The heater didn't serm to work, but we weren't in our room much. We were missing 2 bath towels, Getting into the shower the next AM with the whirlpool tub as the base to the stall was dificult. wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling, but no one has glued it back in place yet.

Love the Dutch theme, it was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable, slept really good. Loved the jetted tub. It was really cute and clean.

It needed some upkeep the carpets were pretty dirty. The TV wasn't working at first, but was told a little trick to get it to work. The jetted tub wouldn't shut off after my husband took a bath. TV probably could be replaced.

Very clean with a large fridge, microwave and stove top (which we did not use). And Kuerig coffee maker. Also small dining table and chairs. Large room with a closet. Fresh paint and updated bath. Easy in and out on the main Highway. Quiet at night and blackout curtains. Limited breakfast with basics and enough to get you going in the morning.

Met our needs for 2 night stay for local event. No problems.

The staff was very friendly checking us in and out. The decor was dark and filled with antiques, flowered wallpaper, and lots of Holland...but that's what you:d expect from a site sporting a windmill! We splurged and got a room with the jacuzzi tub, which was nice, but maybe not worth $40+ nice! The grab and go breakfast inclined bagels, bananas, yogurt, prepackaged pastry, boxes of sugar cereal, Keurig coffee and tea.

Rooms could be a little cleaner...

The outside is as cute as the internet picture. We were there to visit our son and his family who just transferred to Whidey Island NAS. Were treated like their best friends, very clean and comfortable., will return. TV service excellent, has a great selection of stations to watch. Got a good night sleep 😴 Parking in front of room on bottom floor.

Needs more than wastebasket in room. There was a draft under entry door so put a towel at the door and it was fine.
