The place was incredibly clean, and the linens were clean and new. The towels were a lot thicker than the ones you normally get in a budget motel. The hot water in the shower came on instantly. And the front desk staff was very kind.

Unfortunately, the parking lot is too small for the number of rooms available. I had to park in the back. I was a little apprehensive at first, but I was told that they had security cameras on the alley area, and they could see them from their rooms. The area was well lit. There was a walkway between the two wings that gave me a quick path to the front of the motel from my car. Also, the desk staff said that all the locals knew that they had security cameras, so that gave them extra confidence in the safety of the area.

WOW! From the get-go, the woman at the front desk from this family owned motel was very accommodating and helpful in answering all of my questions. I had a heavy cooler I needed to carry into the room and she happily accommodated my request to be on the main level. THEN when I got to the room, they had just finished cleaning it and it was spotless. For the price, I was blown away. A Queen bed in one room, a king in the other and a little kitchen area with stove (not sure it worked), sink and seating area. All of the other hotels in Anacortes were priced quite a bit more than the San Juan Motel, so I was surprised when I saw the extremely reasonable price. When I asked her about the price, she stated she wants to offer affordable lodging for tourists - awesome! The bonus was they had laundry facilities and the washer and dryer worked great. VERY happy with this property and if I return to Anacortes, I'll book it again!

Not a darn thing.

Great bang for your buck, compared to some local air bnb properties this place beats all of those if you’re planning on spending most of your time out and about. The room was clean, had a place to cook, do dishes, store any groceries (Fridge& freezer), had two fans to keep cool, a tv, lots of outlets, and two beds. The location was also great, close to everything in just a short walk.

Honestly I didn’t dislike anything, totally met my expectations. If I wanted to nit pick it would be nice to have streaming services on the tv but cable works just fine for any vacation.

It was everything I needed. Not fancy, but everything was clean and working. The wifi worked with no issues. Good refrigerator and microwave. Even a small sink to make it almost like a kitchenette.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. If I had come here in the middle of summer the lack of air conditioner may be a factor, though being up here on the island it's usually not as hot as other areas. A big fan is provided, which I did use anyway because I love to circulate the air. My stay was quite comfortable.

My 4th visit here. It's convenient as a stopover to the San Juan Islands. The best value you can ever hope for. A hidden gem. The rooms are very super clean and spacious. Full fridge, microwave, stovetop, internet, extensive cable channels..... Great location in the heart of Anacortes. Nice restaurants close by. The staff/front desk are amazing and very friendly and helpful of any needs. Definitely coming back! Shout out to Ronni and her team👍 Rick

No complaints in the least bit

Front desk staff very helpful. My room was older and not renovated, however I found it spotlessly clean, very quiet, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. Only a couple of blocks from great restaurants near the water, can't beat it for the price!

There are no amenities - there's a small kitchen with burners, sink, fridge, but no plates, glasses, or cutlery. Just bring your own.

The place was plenty big, with a kitchenette almost the size of a kitchen. Two TV's, nice shower, plenty of heat when needed, and they had two large fans but don't know about air conditioning. Close to town but in a residential area. Door lock looked brand new.

Don't expect everything to be brand new. Not sure if they had air conditioning, parking wasn't a problem, but I think it could be. For the price it was great.

Loved that the second bed was separated from the first bed by a kitchenette.Loved, loved, loved that! So much privacy! Spacious rooms! Centrally located near downtown Anacortes. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Definitely will book here again. It was well priced too. We were very happy with our accomodation!

We were good with everything!

My experience here was excellent. The family who run the hotel were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating and I am very grateful to them for being so wonderful. They were truly the highlight! The room was so large it was almost two rooms in one, and the price for what you get is brilliant. Everything worked very well, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again next time I head over the Friday harbor!

Walls are a little thin but didn't turn out to be a problem when it was time to sleep. I didn't realise that the kitchen didn't have any plates or cooking utensils when I went food shopping so it is something to bear in mind!

Everyone who work there was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was surprisingly large and though older was very clean and seemed well cared for.

There was a fighting couple with children who were screaming and slamming doors and eventually had to be kicked out. Not the staff's fault and they handled it beautifully, they were right on top of the situation and I was grateful and impressed. Not just for myself but for those kids.
