I liked the "old cabin" nostalgic charm. I liked the cabin with independent deck overlooking a grassy field , walkway, trees, and water beyond. I enjoyed having a deck right off the cabin with a couple of chairs. My dog and I had a lovely time, close to the ferries. Having a kitchenette with a frig was very helpful, as I was in town for a family gathering. I like staying in town sometimes when visiting Anacortes but if you have a car or bike, or are on your way to the islands, this is ideal and serene! Friendly, easy-going vibe and a larger deck to gather with friends, with a view!

The pod coffee-maker wasn't working well and was small (low volume) so I highly recommend you bring your own or drive into town.

Very peaceful, clean, quiet location with very comfortable beds. The view is fabulous. Enjoyed the patio overlooking the waterfront view. Two minutes to a beautiful waterfront park and a short drive to both, Deception Pass in one direction and town in the other. In-room fridge and coffee maker was perfect for us. A well cared for older property. The staff is friendly & helpful. Daily deer on the property and surrounding area.

This property was grandfathered in when the area became residential many years ago, so there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance. Definately need a car.

Our room was spacious and well appointed with a mini fridge that was very cold, and a kitchenette sink. Good cable TV. Beautiful view of Harbor with ferries coming in and out. Nice patio. Nice outdoor seating areas. We had deer and a rabbit on the lawn. Walking distance to the ferry. Easy check in and out. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was OK, but I suggest getting a waffle iron that allows guests to make their own waffles. On our 2nd day there were no waffles available. Upgrade the quality of the bagels, and/or add quality muffins instead of waffles.

This was our second stay at Ship Harbor Inn. It's the perfect location if you are heading for the ferry terminal next morning. The rooms are comfortable and quiet and have views to woods and the ferry landing. In the late evening, we went outside to watch two owls who were hooting in a tree on the property. In the morning, there were two deer outside our patio door. Breakfast (which started at 7:00 AM) included bagels, English muffins, cereal, bananas, apples, yogurt, hard cooked eggs, coffee and juice. Waffles were possible, but only if one asked at the front desk.

I left a note for the manager that a couple things in the bathroom needed to be repaired. The toilet didn't flush well, and the shower control knob needed to be replaced.

Great location. Beautiful view. Fireplace. Spa tub. Ability to fix snacks in room. Quiet setting.

Breakfast was adequate but pretty much the same every day and didn't like having to get some items from the office. Toilets need to be upgraded--had wobbly seats and were very low for aging legs. Kitchen utensils were minimal. Also had to really be careful when walking on the grounds--especially on the blacktop which was quite uneven with unespected dips and humps--falling was a danager.

Our room had amazing views overlooking the sea and harbor. It was cozy and had all the facilities needed such as a fridge and microwave. The harbor was in walking distance which was very helpful for our trip to Orcas Island. Anacortes also offers lots of food places to eat and things to do. The hotel grounds were beautiful and had lots of wildlife roaming. The hotel offered free parking, a laundry room, a delicious free breakfast with hot food. You could sit and eat breakfast in the lovely breakfast room looking over the water. This place is gorgeous and I would happily return.

The only issue I had is after leaving I realized that I had been charged twice for my room. Once by booking.com and the other via the hotel. I called the hotel though and they apologized and said it happens sometimes. They were helpful in giving me a refund.

The location is superb for catching the ferry the next day. Great view of the water and the ships coming and going. We liked being able to step out directly onto a patio and the lawn in front.

We had not been aware that there would be another unit above us. The couple was quiet, so it was no a problem, but one can hear the footsteps of people walking. The young lady who checked us in was polite, but not very relatable. And when I inquired about a change of room after finding out there were people staying above us, she told me any unit with our "configuration" would be an additional $60. However, there were several identical units right next to us that were and stayed unoccupied. She could use a little coaching in how to relate to her customers, maybe with a friendly smile?

Cleanliness, view, comfort, breakfast. Housekeeping staff (Emily?) was super friendly and helpful with advice on rooms for future stays.

Front Desk attendant Thursday morning was not friendly or helpful. Maybe it was a bad day for her, but she really didn't make an effort.

The bed was comfy, the room was spacious and the bathroom was perfect for a short stay with a big mirror. There was a little facility to prepare a drink and food if you needed. The overall value of the room for the size was great. The location of the hotel was amazingly close for exploring into the San Juan islands. The car parking facilities were great and they also have an electric charging point which is super handy. Overall this hotel is exactly what i was looking for on a solo adventure and i would happily stay there again. Great value for money

The steps down to the room was hard to navigate with a big case. Breakfast wasn't cooked but was effective so not a dislike but just something to flag for those expecting.

The staff was very friendly. The view was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was ok. It is very close to the ferry and I could walk to catch my boat. (This proximity should be better advertised.(

The privacy in the garden rooms was lacking. There was a party of some sort happening in the room next to mine. The people spilled over to the area outside my room and I did not feel comfortable having my blinds open because they could see in. This meant I missed out on the lovely view and the fresh sea air.
