I had a pleasant stay at the Silver Cloud hotel in Seattle. It's located in a quiet area, which is surprising for the city, and has good amenities. The hotel is conveniently situated near public transportation and Whole Foods. While breakfast isn't included, there's the on-site Jimmy's restaurant and numerous other options nearby. The staff was incredibly welcoming. Despite a late arrival and a room mix-up, they went above and beyond to accommodate me. I ended up with a lower-level room than booked, as all king rooms were already assigned. Being tired from a 17-hour flight, I agreed, assuming the price would be adjusted accordingly. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, which was my mistake for assuming. However, the team made me feel valued by sending some welcome treats to my room, which I appreciated. One thing I wasn't aware of beforehand was the 25% deposit required upon check-in. This is a hold on your card, but it significantly impacted my travel budget (around $500) and was only released 48 hours after my return home. This policy differs from other hotels I've stayed in, both in the US and Europe. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Silver Cloud and wanted to share my experience, including both the positives and the unexpected aspects.

We had the whirlpool room with the fireplace. Absolutely LOVED the room. Accommodations and cleanliness, cleaning staff and hotel staff were professional and exceeded our expectations. While at the hotel all guests received a message from the GM regarding temporary local activity he was attending to immediately. It was well versed and comforting that he was wholly attentive. We stated to each other multiple times through our stay how much we enjoyed the hotel, amenities and room. We'll be returning, if not to the same location one of the partner Silver Cloud hotels.

Cost of parking we didn't like; however, we were in the midst of the city and the parking lot under the building was clean and secure.

Extremely clean hotel, comfortable bed and pillows. Very quiet, we couldn't hear a thing. The design of the room is very well thought. Laundry in every floor and service is complementary which is very rare in any hotel. This was very appreciated as we do lots of laundry daily when we travel. Very clean Keurig coffee machine and ceramic cups instead of your typical disposable cups, as well as glassware for drinking water. Our room had a mini fridge, microwave, sink and a very useful countertop. However no plates or utensils. We had a small couch with chaise and a desk. Housekeeping everyday with no annoying envelope or request for tipping housekeepers, and again very much appreciated because since the pandemic most hotels went the cheap and shameful route of stopping this service to this day, claiming they're understaffed and at the same time having no shame in asking for tips. This is a very well managed hotel and will certainly be coming back.

Wish there were at least some basic plates and utensils offered alongside their ceramic cups and glasses.

It was very clean and neat. Up to date on the inside.

The cable TV shuts off for a certain amount of time for some reason and didn't turn back on until like 6am. I'm an early riser and like watching the 5am news. Also, staff should let guests know that you have to use your room key in the elevators. Like it's not like that at every hotel. Help us out so we aren't just riding the elevator until another guest let's you know. It is not clearly marked in the elevators. We assumed it was for the employees until another guest showed us. We then got to return the favor to another couple a little while later as they were just as lost as we were.

Loved the cleanliness of it. Your cleaners are exceptional! The jets in the tub are nice and relaxing! The linens were nice, clean, and soft. The bed was firm but soft, really comfy and cozy!

The TV had big white spots in it. The picture was messed up so watching tv wasnt happening. They said they knew about the TV. And there's a work order in to fix it. Probably needs a new TV. And knowing this before hand it should of been handled before we checked in especially at the price anything over 400 should have a nice TV that works. The vending machine didn't work either..

The hotel staff (front desk, housekeeping, etc.) very warm & friendly. We enjoyed the complementary drinks at Jimmy's plus their food was excellent. The free guest laundry was a very nice surprise and came in handy! Location to hotel is very convenient to markets, restaurants, shopping, and especially to Seattle University for the event we attended.

Everything was perfect! Please don't change anything!!

The rooms were big and well furnished. The beds were comfy, it was quiet, and there were plenty of outlets for charging devices. Also the location was great, easy walking to lots of restaurants and public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's an onsite restaurant and laundry facilities.

The bathroom didn't have enough counter space for 2 women to put out all their lotions, etc . But there was a wet bar with a mirror so you could put makeup on there. A bit pricier than I'd hoped but maybe bc it was UW graduation weekend.

That I was able to rest up from my surgery that day and get hot food that nught without leaving the room.

When my surgery time was changed and I needed to change booking times I had to spend over 2 hours to get the times changed the night before my surgery. I understand it had to do with the booking agency but as I don't book often that was very frustrating. I understand there was a hospital rate available but I was too exhausted to search further.

Professional, friendly staff. Jimmy's restaurant on property. Cleanliness. Comfortable bed. Microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker in room

The gym is an afterthought. Located on the first floor of the parking garage. Some high end cardio and weight equipment, but impossible to use the weight machines due to proximity of the other equipment. It seemed more like a storage area for equipment. The AC was out. Disappointing, but not enough to ruin the overall very positive experience at the hotel.

The bed itself is very comfortable, pillows are good. The tub is a nice size. The location is great for us. The workout room is clean.

The workout room could have an upgrade. Its an odd shape which is hard to change but the large machine could be replaced with something better /just takes up a lot of space for upper body only workout. Pools has been closed for years /covid and prices should be updated on here for parking .
