Easy going housekeepers

The fact that the price went up quite significantly when I checked in, I ended up having to pay nearly double from the price I originally thought was the rate. The reason I selected this hotel was the price posted was $89+tax a night, 3 nights it was estimated to be $267+Tax. Got there and all of a sudden I'm being charged to check-in early which was an outrageous fee of $30 and then the incidentals was another $30 fee. Anyways I selected the room because I thought it was gonna be 267+tax and I thought I was gonna get my incidentle fee back that never happened. I ended paying 480 something dollars never going to stay here again!!

Price, access to highway, good size room, comfortable bed, good breakfast, had hair dryer, small freezer compartment in fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board, enough closet space.

It seemed odd that we had no maid service at all in 3 days. Maybe that’s the new normal. In a way that’s nicer but a knock at the door and a handoff of garbage would have been perfect. They may have tried, we were out most of the time.

The room was adequate once we were changed to a non-smoking room. The breakfast was quite good. Entry to the hotel was limited in relation to parking. The grounds were not inviting - strictly parking all the way around - no greenery or gardens. The pavement surrounding everything makes for an easy clean-up but impossibly hot to be outdoors in.

Entering a decidedly smoke room in a non-smoking facility. My allergies immediately kicked in. The change was not questioned and created with great speed and pleasantness.

As a user of handicapped facilities, I found this hotel the best of any I have experienced. The room was completely fitted out with appropriate safety equipment and was very well organized. Also, the room was near the front desk and the breakfast room, and I could park in the designated handicapped parking space under the Port Cochere at the front door, in view of the desk. Breakfast was as good as one finds in any similar hotel, and the room is entered using one’s room key—an excellent security measure. Both evening and morning staff were pleasant and efficient.

Yakima evidently has a shortage of facilities to assist the homeless. One of their number was haunting the property, looking for a warm meal, later scouting the vehicles in the parking lot to see if any might yield a windfall. While this situation felt a bit threatening, I regretted that no one, including me, was equipped to help him out. Staff were respectful and also firm dealing with him according to policy, I’m sure. I wonder if local churches and city government could band together to provide means to supply meals, showers, clothing, and possibly shelter, at least on a temporary basis, to fill the need and relieve the tension between the haves and have nots in Yakima, and perhaps the hotel industry could provide expertise and perhaps even participate in helping with the issue.

Breakfast ok, location ok, love the spacious room and kitchenet..

Smell of room, hard bed, no elevator is a downfall, no TV in bedroom. Didn't like that the manager didn't get to is in a timely manner or reach out to us when charged a fee for they there told at check in there would be no pet and the staff wasn't knowledgeable to refund nor could do a refund it took week for a call back on our end to get answers.

Only snafu was my key card didn't work when I first tried it..... I got it redone at the front desk and no problems after that. Breakfast was a little heavy on the carbs for my tastes, but I'm sure it's a great perk for families traveling with children.- I saw potatoes, cereal, waffles, toast etc. there were also scrambled eggs (powdered?). OJ, yogurt, and Coffee too. Nice there was a variety of things to choose from- as it gave me something to get going- for my long drive ahead. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the people with their pups the next morning, as I didn't hear any dogs bark during my overnight stay.... No stray dog hairs in my room, and no doggy odor . I'd stay there with my dog, if I was needing a dog friendly hotel.

Breakfast was poor when we went in all the hot food was gone, the waffles makers were taken, seating full, and came back later the same. then came back and got some small stuff and a waffle. looks like one person working the food, this was Saturday Should have more help.Also poor location street people on the corners other businesses fenced in , I felt that my car would be broken in

I like their breakfast, sausage, potatoes, eggs, yogurt, apples, coffee, milk, juice, waffle, baigle, and many. The price is good too.

Homeless people around the entrance sometimes, makes me feel unsafe. The hotel sometimes use a third party booking company which is not reliable and couldn't be covered by Booking.com. No sausage and potatoes in weekdays.

The friendly staff in total! The Female who checked me in was friendly and accommodating ( I asked to check in little early) and got ground floor. Breakfast, while not 100% consistent - was better then most are doing these days. Cereals, milk, toast, waffles and the potatoes - even if the eggs are the substitute ones- they taste good with toast, yogurts, coffee and 2 types of juices. Wifi was great and free. Although pool was closed- I am guessing not the season for it. Room spacious and clean, iron and board, safe , toiletries . the price was just a couple dollars more then a total dive right down the street that I almost booked. The value I got for those few dollars - well, well, worth it . Would stay again and probably will soon!

pool open- but again, maybe seasonally in June when hot enough. Otherwise zero bad things to say about the Days Inn Yakima.

Room was quiet and well kept. Appreciated having a fridge in the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a last minute booking, so there was a touch of confusion when I was checking in, but they worked hard to figure it out. In spite of the curve-ball they were thrown, the staff did and excellent job. We did skip the complementary breakfast and went next door to the Waffle Caffe - which I highly recommend.
