My family and I were AMAZED at how "new" the property appeared. When we checked out, I asked the person at the desk how old the facility was and they said five years. To us, it looked brand new! Everywhere we went in the hotel was clean...from the front desk to the breakfast area to the workout facility to our rooms....all were spotless! There is no doubt that the staff takes great pride in their work and the place where they work.

The only thing I noticed was that the room was pretty "stuffy" unless you put the air conditioner at about 71-degrees (which was actually pretty cold...even in the summer) and that the bathroom door was pretty difficult to close/open. Other than that, and I am being VERY honest, everything else was perfect (and I have stayed at a LOT of hotels during my time).

staff was very nice, including the housekeeping staff. There was a good variety of breakfast foods.

Would have liked the air conditioning to go lower than 66 degrees. The bathroom door would "Squeal" when opening/closing. It would not close all the way either due to the door not being square, or the floor was higher in some areas.

The property was clean and the breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and the location was great for the activities we were doing.

When we arrived our king room had already been occupied even though I had booked this room 2 months in advance. They then gave us a double queen room for the night, and told us we would have to switch to the king we originally booked the next morning. It was a little frustrating to have booked so far in advance to get thrown from room to room when arriving.

The room was very comfortable and clean. There was only decaf coffee and no condiments but that was really not an issue. The desk staff was very professional and friendly.

It was pretty noisy— not that the people were unusually loud, just that the walls of the rooms were pretty thin. I was also surprised that the hallway carpet was really dirty while the hotel seemed fairly new.

Great staff. Clean from the entrance to the room. Nothing really was off or wrong. Everything you'd expect from a proper Marriott. Just up the hill from what may be the Taj Mahal of Taco Bells.

The entrance to parking was perhaps poorly lit. Other than that miniscule thing, no issues.

it was taken care of and a quiet location. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety. staff was very friendly and helpful. the room was very clean. loved the handicap facilities.

the trash outside was full and a raccoon came out on the back patio to dig through the can.

The room was spacious, clean, and very quiet. The main plus was that the hotel was not near a roadway so it was extremely quiet. The bed was very comfortable so we had a peaceful night's sleep. The updated shower design was great too.

The 2 of us were there only two days so we had plenty of closet space but if there were more than 2 people staying multiple nights the closet and drawer space might be a problem.

It was clean. The beds were so comfortable. The shower and water pressure were excellent. They even had small shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower in case you forgot to bring your own.

Nothing. It’s exactly what you need.

Scenic location, comfortable beds, great shower, lots of excellent choices for breakfast. Close to Marshall University: we drove over to Pullman Square for dinner and found it to be a fun place to visit.
