Perfect location if you are looking to have a relaxed holiday. It is away from the city and calm. Meaning there is also a limited amount of activities to be done at the resort. Since the resort is next to a forest, there are monkeys living nearby which can be seen sometimes inside the resort. They are shy, so don't expect interactions. Other than monkeys, there is a wide variety of small wildlife going on. Geckos, snails, hornets, butterflies, bats, you name it. It makes it feel like paradise. Having a great beach just in front of the villa and a private pool makes the beach front villa an amazing choice. The water is clean and calm and there are a lot of harmless small crabs living on the beach. A big shout out to the staff that was very friendly and helpful and making sure we were 100% satisfied. The city was easily reachable by ordering a Grab (a service like Uber). The same goes for ordering food to the resort. First time ever I got sad to having to leave for home. 10/10 for the location.

The food at the resort could improve. We ate a few times lunch and dinner and mostly skipped breakfast. The city just offers much better food for similar prices or cheaper. Occassionally, the resort gets booked for company events such as team building events. It is fun to watch as long as they don't start blasting music in the morning.

Beautiful resort, a little dated but still very high quality furniture & fixtures. Plenty of space around the swimming pools and the beach is clean with a lifeguard on duty. We booked an ocean facing room and we could listen to sound of the waves (sometimes fishing boats at night) and woke up with sun shining onto our bed. Buffet breakfast was good, but could be improved with some variation. Room and linen was spotless. Staff service from all departments was excellent. Spa treatments were so relaxing. Gardens and pool area well maintanined and peaceful. Overall, great place to unwind around pool & beach.

Was big, we had a huge living room, space for dining and even a dedicated kitchen on the upper level. then you head down with 2 bedrooms a small common room and your own private pool / chill area as well. Plenty of space - considering it was just the 2 of us. The shower / tub area is great too.

the hot water runs out a little too fast to fill the hot tub enough. have to wait awhile for hot water to be available again. But I didn't ask - since we are only staying for a day. It was raining - not much the hotel can control about this, but that meant we didn't get to enjoy the pool and beach as much.

The location is the best you can find.

Although it is not new, and some people might not understand that, it has an incredible location

Huge room! It was a 2 storey villa. Complete with everything. We loved it so much. Beach was nearly empty. Water so cold, although the sand and beach is not as nice (as other place beach Ive been to) but the peacefulness makes up for it.

Location is a bit far, but we could still go out back & forth to the city. No problem. Easy to get Grab Car although you have to wait for a while. I lost my ring on my 2nd day of stay. (After housekeeping make up our room on the 2nd day). When asked, they said couldn’t find anything. But I am 100% sure it was there. So please be careful with your belongings. No halal food options, but you can opt for vegetarian instead.

Pool, big space inside and out, view..

First, It is necessary to educate the gardeners and housekeeping staff about the importance of privacy. Leaving doors open may lead to unexpected intrusions by the pool maintenance personnel into spaces such as the room adjacent to the pool, which lies between two bedrooms. I recommend that proper guidelines be established regarding guest privacy and scheduling. The pool maintenance worker frequently spends over two hours cleaning the pool area and garden, making multiple visits. Clarification on appropriate timing and respect for guest privacy is essential. Second, Spending a small amount on cleaning or replacing the heavily soiled curtains.

I had selected this resort because we were looking for something like a SE Asian island resort experience, but didn't want to travel to an island for this. We had transferred from another hotel in the city after 4 nights which was great, but then stayed 2 nights at Son Tra Resort. It was a perfect end to our travels, and the 2 bedroom beachfront villa we had booked was ENORMOUS. It was 2 levels with a living zone upstairs on the entry level and bedooms and main bathroom downstairs with direct access to the pool and beach. What a treat and an experience for the kids. The private pool for this villa was the larger type so plenty of room for kids to muck around, and no need to go to the centrally located pool. Note if you have small kids who don't swim, this may not be the best idea as there is no pool fencing from the villa. Although this was only about 10 mins from the city, and we had already spent several days in Danang, we didn't feel like going anywhere, spending our time and money for food and beverage in the resort. Pricing for this was as expected. There was a full kitchen, however it didn't have any crockery or cooking equipment. The private beach was lovely, clear and calm (no waves like around at My Khe Beach), sectioned off to prevent boats getting nearby. Sunlounges and hammocks available, as well as kayaks. One suggestion is to bring snorkelling equipment if you can, or it would be nice if the hotel had this available for rental for guests. Restaurant food options were great and catered to all tastes in our family. Might be a good idea to bring some drinks and snacks with you to avoid higher hotel pricing. The fridge/freezer provided was a good size. We would definately stay here again if we ever have the chance to return!

When trying to have a bath in the room, we ran out of hot water pretty quickly, so I wasn't able to appreciate this. Not sure what the purpose of the little bungalows next to the pool were for, but it would be nice to have some padded cushions on the seats to either take a nap, or read a book.

It was the greatest resort experience during our trip in Vietnam, mainly driven by the very kind, attentive, and really helpful staff. Even before our arrival, the resort staff contacted us to assist with airport pick-up, which was a thoughtful touch. Upon arrival, we requested to change our villa as we were looking for a room in a quieter corner. The team was very flexible and accommodating, even cleaning the already spotless villa before we moved in. The villa was very spacious, even with a cot, providing plenty of area to unwind. During breakfast, the hotel staff would "check in" with us daily, asking if we required any assistance, especially considering we were holidaying with our 9-month-old infant. The private beach and the pool were consistently clean and beautiful. Although we only had two days of sun due to the weather/season, we still enjoyed the pool, which, although cold, was very refreshing. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of local and international cuisine. The Pho was just perfect. The location is one of the best, with the beach directly in front of the villa. Additionally, the free shuttle service between the resort and town was very convenient. On our last day, we had a romantic dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was amazing, with an ocean view and a beautifully set dining table. The ambiance was perfect, making it a memorable experience.

Everything was perfect, but if I had a little gripe it would be the bar and restaurant closing at 10 pm. It would be nice to get back in the evening and relax with a drink around the pool.

Private pool was great, but could be cleaner. Loved the private beach infront of the villa

One night we had many insects inside the villa following a rainy day. We understand the tropical environment, but this was something we did not enjoy. Staff would knock on our room because we wanted privacy and locked the main door upstairs. We felt our privacy was invaded. Apprecaite if the staff called by phone rather knocking the glass of our bedroom while sleeping.

Is this paradise? Son Tea resort was our pit stop of relaxation in a busy 3 week tour of Vietnam and Cambodia - and wow did it deliver. The villa and location exceeded our expectations. A small resort nestled in a green mountain side (a nature reserve) with no houses in sight save for Da Nang across the water in the distance and lady buddah lighting up the next hillside. This place felt like ultimate peace and luxury. The villa exceeded our expectations. A large, 2 story villa, beach front with private pool. The clear sandy beach, with palm trees, and no one around save for the few other hotel guests was divine. The staff were kind, helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend it.

If you have food allergies/ intolerances/ are vegetarian or vegan watch out with the menu and breakfast buffet labeling. It's not fully correct. We put this down to a language issue, best to ask/ let them know and the staff are happy to help.
