Hanoi... Where to begin... We had about 5 days in Hanoi but 2 of them were set aside for a Ha Long Bay Cruise. So Hanoi was fairly short and sweet. This hotel is located in the "old" part of Hanoi. If you are looking to be in the middle of brief glimpses of this city, this is a great location. Just a block and a half from Hoan Kiem Lake. An easy walk with a promenade encircling the entire lake. Ngoc Son Temple is in the lake and easily accessible. There are a million restaurants and trinkets and trash shops all around. The ENTIRE staff at the hotel were wonderful and warm. Helpful in every facet. English was pretty well understood. Breakfast buffet was large, hot and definitely something for everyone. Ate in the restaurant one evening. Very good. Rooftop bar was great. Extremely nice and cozy with views of the lake. We had a Terrace Suite. Large room, 1-1/2 bathrooms and a true terrace with a ton of space. Not state of the art hotel, but extremely clean, friendly and accommodating.

I'm not sure I have anything that was off. Some people prefer the newer, more modern hotels, but this fit the bill for what we wanted. Location is a catch-22. In the middle of old town, but a long ride in and a long ride out (But if you have never been to Hanoi, you will quickly learn EVERYTHING is a long ride... Eight+ million people can do that. :)

Hanoi Pearl was our first destination to stay in whilst in Hanoi. We were greeted by staff from our taxi where they carried our bags in, welcomed us with a drink, and checked us in. The room we had was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The rooftop bar was great for some afternoon cocktails and beers. All of the staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Nam, one of the staff members who worked on the rooftop bar was the absolute best to help navigate around the city and ask for local restaurant recommendations and sites to see. All the food and drink were very nice. We booked a trip to Ha Long Bay and Sapa through the reception, and both trips were incredible. Highly recommend.

The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. They even brought out a cake for my lovely wife's birthday. We booked a room with an internal window, which was very comfortable, quiet, clean and cool. Also, the hotel location is right in the middle of things and so easy to walk about. The staff arranged our transfers from and to the airport, which went without a hitch.

The air conditioning was a little noisy.

There is everything to like about this hotel!! The staff were amazing, accommodating and helpful, the room was lovely, the bed very comfortable (I wish I could have taken the mattress home!) and all very clean. Location was spot on, just a very short stroll to the lake but the street was so quiet. We had lunch in the restaurant on day 1, best pho I had the entire trip. We had dinner in the top floor lounge on our last night, very very good. Buffet breakfast was great, lots of options and the staff in the restaurant were super attentive, I even had the main waiter offer to make my coffee one of the mornings! Hotel porters were always smiling and ready to help. We had a very early departure the day we checked out and we settled our account the night before, when doing so we were asked if we would like a breakfast box to take away, to which we said yes please. They provided a roll, a hard boiled egg, some fruit and a tub of yoghurt, perfect for our commute to the airport. The hotel reception staff were also very helpful when our arranged driver (not booked through the hotel) failed to turn up on time. With concern for our travel plans they suggested the option of a taxi or their private driver, when we opted for the taxi they called the company and negotiated a 'guide' price for us. Then they had to cancel the taxi as the tardy driver eventually arrived. And their only concern was that we were not stressed!!

There is absolutely nothing to dislike!! We regret that we only stayed there the 3 nights and not the full 6 that we spent in Hanoi.

Location is just a few steps away from the lake the location is very much central to reach shops ,restaurants and very close to the famous Historic Temple on the lake , breakfast is very good with also a very nice selection of western and Asian choice, the room was fantastic we had one of the two Terrace suite that we have chose for the second time in this remarkable hotel but what makes the hotel even more special is the friendly staff and the hospitality at the Concierge that are always ready to help in every way also with a warm heart to make sure your stay is comfortable.

As a hotel this was great, but we were very disappointed in the travel services. After researching cruises near Lan Ha and Bai Tu Long Bay my husband asked the hotel for input and they strongly pushed us toward a different company than we had planned to book (we were told we would be bored on the cruise we planned which seems to not be the case). The cruise did not go to Lan Ha as we were told when we booked. We booked through the hotel and found out later that we paid 200-300 dollars more than other people in the same room types. Upon return we realized this cruise line was affiliated with the hotel. I don’t feel the hotel had our best interests at heart in this aspect.

Great location, on a quiet side street adjacent to Hoan Kiem Lake and a couple blocks from the chaos of the French Quarter. The staff were, to a person, exceptional; courteous, kind, gracious, caring, helpful. We stayed in a comfortable terrace suite , with a dreamy bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The WiFi super fast.

The quality of their spa service massages were disappointing and below the standards of the rest of the hotel.

This is a great hotel if in HANOI and a fantastic location just next to the Hoan Kim Lake. Check in was smooth and throughout our week it was so friendly and helpful We had an inter-connecting room, both very spacious, separate key cards, doors internally locked if required Always well made up and clean. Breakfast buffet style was till 10 - eggs to order the rest help yourself, nice food and atmosphere - roof top bar nice, but due to the extreme heat the indoor part was far more comfortable. Not overly priced with food and drink and neither were items in the room or mini bar. If staying in Hanoi, you you want to be central this is the place for you.

Maybe for the ladies - conditioner is needed in the bathrooms , shampoo and bath gel are there, no conditioner. -Not a massive deal, just a thought

Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival we had an issue with our room, to our surprise we were upgraded at no cost. The staff are exceptionally kind and super helpful. Upon finding out it was our 20th wedding anniversary they decorated our bed with roses and the staff presented us with a cake. A special mention to Nam and Thu who made our stay extra special with their smiles and conversation. Absolutely beautiful people. The room was very clean and bed , super comfortable and very quiet. There were not internal or external noises. Breakfast had an abundance of choices. The location was perfect, 1 minute walk to the lake and easy walk to other attractions like train Street and beer street. Many restaurants nearby. We loved sitting in the upstairs roof top bar talking to Nam and Thu, good food and drinks at fair prices. They hotel was faultless.
