Friendly, professional staff. The hotel has that old charm and elegance that I personally look for. Beautiful view from the bar and excellent breakfast.

The one thing that is a downside for me is I noticed shark fin soup on the menu. With what we know now of this cruel practice, this would prevent me from staying at The Majestic again. I am sure that this hotel has a talented chef and crew which could create an array of other choices. I would love to stay there again but I can't as long as that's on the menu.

Location !!! Right on the river. I always wanted to stay here because of its history. Beautiful 100year old hotel. Rooms not large but magnificent . Lovely central pool.

Room had a fair bit of road noise. I have stayed on the river before and have never had to listen to the noise when door is closed. An old motel so I duppose it is to be expected.

This is a lovely old hotel with significant charm and historic value. I expected it to be a little tired or worn around the edges, but it was anything but. It's location is perfect, its staff are attentive and charming (it was my husband's birthday while we were there and without any prompting they made a fuss over him at breakfast). Breakfast was generous and despite how full the hotel was I never felt rushed. Will be back.

I would prefer secure wifi. I'm not a huge fan of down pillows myself, but that's a 'me' problem. I suspect if you like them you'd find the large size pillows perfect.

We loved the size of the room, and the comfort of the bed. Our room was located facing the swimming pool. So it’s quiet during the night. The breakfast offerings were great! Loved the morning noodle soup dishes. For us it was within walking distance to the Ben Thanh market, Saigon Square, Saigon Centre and Vincom. We didn’t mind walking the under 2kms or so to these major centres. Staff were very professional and helpful.

The fan in our bedroom was quite loud when we turn it on to use. But that’s such a minor thing.

The Hotel is ideally located. Great breakfast. Great staff. Room nicely decorated in an antique style that gives it a lot of character. The Fitness studio was well equipped compared to what you can find in other hotel.

The only problem we encountered was that unfortunately, the room was poorly, one might even say very poorly, soundproofed to the noise inside the hotel (but no problem from the noise coming from outside, even though our room was giving on the street side!!). We could hear doors slamming and staff passing by with carts in the corridors. In particular, we were woken up several times during our last night by the room above ours, which was very noisy all night long. To be fair, we did not complain during the night, but the only explanation we received when we checked out was that unfortunately we had an Indian family with kids staying above our room.

Beautiful room and bathroom with a bath which was lovely for a soak as their hot water was actually hot! Breakfast was super, great choice and good coffee. Great location with fantastic views from the rooftop resturaunt and bar, Great food, Spa was good as were the ladies in it and having a pool was a welcome addition. A stunning hotel with all the features you would expect from a 1925 building. Beds were comfy too. and plenty of pillows and towells. We had a window that was on the pool side so not a great view, but at least we had a view!

Most of the TV channels didnt work, and annoying pop ups from other hotel users trying to log onto the TV! A bit noisy as no double glazing, so could hear all the music etc from the upstairs bar, although it did get quieter at 11pm. Its on a very busy road, so cant cross it to take a walk along the river.

Have stayed several times at Majestic Hotel. Breakfast is very good and consistent in range of options, quality etc. Location is excellent and easy walking to city centre and easy access to taxis and Grab transport. Rooms are being upgraded so our group had a mix of upgraded rooms and older rooms but all are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms could do with better design shower screens, including the upgraded rooms!

This visit the hotel was very busy and feel that at times, lost the personal touch from past visits; may be an issues for many hotels during busy periods. The MBar appears to have become expensive; however many other establishments appeared to follow similar pricing. Entertainment is excellent with the same group performing for last few months. New key guest performers would be good.

The Colonial Suite was just a magnificent room, with absolutely all the space and amenitities you need. Opening right out onto the pool, we enjoyed the pool space, and relaxing there. The city is extreely walkable from the Hotel Majestic, and it is easy to get around Saigon from the hotel. The staff were lovely, and very helpful, and the breakfast was good. The room and the hotel has really retained their 'old world charm'

Some people may not like the lack of natural light that can happen with the colonial suite. In that case, I'd recommend looking at a river view or balcony option, but it was no problem for us

Room is huge and colonial-style. Bed is very comfortable. Location is excellent, right next to the lake and close to the main tourist sights and next to the Nguyen Hue Walking Street - which is full of restaurants and shops. The famous Cafe Apartment is also near by (on Nguyen Hue Walking Street). Hot water pressure is excellent and is the best of my 3 hotels in Vietnam. Aircon works very well too. Was able to extend my checkout by an hour and was given the option to shower at the pool area after if I wanted to.

Struggled a little with the light control in the room - too many buttons!

Beautiful old hotel with an amazing foyer area that takes you back in time. Staff were friendly and the location was very central. Bed and pillows were comfortable and room was spacious and very clean. Nice pool area but limited deck chairs for size of hotel. Breakfast was standard but served in a lovely area with a nice outlook and outdoor terrace. Everything was very clean.

Bathroom was once elegant but now needs an update. Especially the shower as it leaked all over the floor on every use. Shower over bath would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The rooftop bar had lovely evening views but was very expensive. The live music was way too loud to allow us to engage in any conversation The charm of this hotel is in its wonderful history & beautiful building. But the date’s facilities let it down. These things wouldn’t stop me from staying there again as these comments aside it is very charming.
