The hotel has a very unique design across the board and bedrooms in particular have been thoughtfully designed with a keen eye for detail and a careful use of space and interesting furniture. There is a jacuzzi in the balcony as well and a mini bar included in the price. The bed is extremely comfortable and huge. The rooms are kept very clean!!! I loved that they provide filtered water in glass bottles and you can get as many as you need. They do seem to be making an effort towards the environment. The location worked very well for me- convenient to walk to all the main sites in HCM city, and also be picked up for a tour. Many great places to eat just a few mins walk away. I managed to secure what was apparently a discounted price on booking.com and even then going by the general prices I was paying for accommodation in other parts of Vietnam was significantly cheaper. However, I don’t think it’s possible to compare as what this hotel offers is very different. The roof top bar is worth a visit too- cocktails are made without skimping on the alcohol. The staff are welcoming and helpful.

I didn’t have breakfast or any meals at the hotel so I cannot comment about the food.

We decided on a little bit of luxury after 5 weeks in Viet Nam. The Myst offered rooms with balconies and a mixture of modern and traditional decor. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax during the heat of the day. High tea is a daily ritual not to be missed.

The whole pool area was booked out for one afternoon for a private function. When we complained about it the staff did their best to try and make up for it, but it was very disappointing that the hotel would even think about locking their paying guests out of the pool for a private function. The staff handled things rather well under the circumstances and did their best to help…but what was surprising was that they didn’t seem to realise there was a private function until we told them. I felt that this was not good enough, especially for the price.

The staff were phenomenal. They greeted us at the doors and took us and our bags to our room and told us all the instructions and features of the room. Whatever need we had was kindly and promptly made. When I had flight issues the team member Trần Văn Hiều stayed with me a long while and made sure everything was sorted, I felt very cared for and supported. Other members would make a conscious effort to remember you and things you had talked about prior. The room was delightful, highlight being the beautiful view of the city and river from balcony jacuzzi. The room came with all we needed and more and our stay was overall perfect.

A cute boutique hotel in a very good location to walk to major attractions. Rooftop bar is terrific with different music every evening. Pool area during the day is very relaxing to escape from the street life after lots of walking. Bed was comfortable. Staff were very professional and friendly. Spa on the balcony was a real bonus.

Our room was clunky with heavy furniture suiting their decor but practically doesn’t work with little surface space. Phone next to the bed meant no side table space. Lots of unusable room space. Pillows too soft with no options for harder to suit personal preferences. High cost of breakfast effectively excluded eating breakfast in house.

Our stay at The Myst Dong Khoi was an absolute delight. We were captivated by the stunning interior design and meticulous attention to detail throughout the property, making every corner a visual treat. The staff's service was truly exceptional, ensuring that every interaction was pleasant and accommodating. The unexpected joy of an included afternoon tea added a charming touch to our experience, and the outdoor hot tub proved to be a fantastic way to unwind after a long day of exploration. Additionally, the offer of a free late checkout until 2pm was a generous bonus that allowed us to make the most of our stay.

I must emphasise that I have no criticisms of The Myst Dong Khoi; it truly offers an exceptional experience. However, it's worth noting that its location in a very modern and westernised area of Ho Chi Minh may not be the most budget-friendly choice for travellers.

The room was okay in size, maybe a little impractable (storage room, sink in the bedroom). The room was reasonably quiet, but you would hear noisy neighbors. The jacuzzi on the balcony was a nice experience after a long day of travel. The breakfast buffet was very nice and you could order more from the egg menu. The restaurant offered good dinner options. There is a pleasant bar at the lobby entrance (outdoors) where you could enjoy a cold beer. The location is excellent, a lot of things can be reached on foot. There are two 7-11 shops within a few feet.

Nothing that really mattered, a few small things maybe. But we would choose the Myst again.

Great location and really nice styling in the property to make it feel a bit different. The staff were great from the concierge to the maintenance team couldn’t do enough to help. The Japanese toilet in the room was a brilliant touch and the outside space was great too.

For those that want lots of natural daylight the positioning of our room wasn’t great but that didn’t bother us as we were out in the day time. At the bar on the roof it would be great if nuts came with the drinks (or some other bar snacks) or if they were available to purchase. The sauna and steam room could be ready to use rather than waiting to warm up and there should be some hooks outside for robes/towels. These are all minor points in the spirit of balanced feedback.

Nice location, center of HCMC, there is 24hr convenience store as well next the hotel. Walkable distance to go around district 1 to sightseeing the city. Daytour accepted to pick us from this hotel. Spacious room, unique interior, nice Myst relaxing smell in the hotel. Most important thing, my child can enjoy the breakfast and the room.

The bathtub in balcony looks old, though its clean. Minor thing for us, since the shower room is separated and inside the room, very clean. Another thing, seems like there was renovation around the pool and gym on the top floor, so we could not try on that part.

We were so glad that we stayed at this outstanding place. It is bit more expensive than others but worth every cent. Designed by a local and very talented architect and interior designer, the place is absolutely unique and very tasteful. The design links traditional Vietnamese elements with contemporary topics to a very comfortable and high quality accommodation. Food and Rooftop bar are fantastic, the location is absolutely fantastic. From the regular staff up to the hotel manager, everyone is overly friendly, sympathetic and helpful. Thank you for the amazing stay.
