We loved that our villa was oceanfront. It also has a bar where we can view the sunset and the sea water is warm. We also loved our room which was very spacious even upstairs where the bed is a loft but it was high enough that you did not have to bend over. The bed was comfy. AC was in the right place strategic to airflow during the night. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. The food was great and the drinks were made with real fruit and delicious. The guest services were very helpful got a car for the airport and had information for any tours that you may want to go on.

I didn't like that they only had one type of tequila.

I really did my homework (i.e. I read all the reviews!) and this place was wonderfully quiet (no loud nightclubs next door). It was also on a main street, so there were restaurant and massage options abound. The ocean was amazing, and I swam for kms every day. The room and bed were wonderfully big and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The pool was lovely, but not as long as it appears in the photos-I am a swimmer, so I had pictured myself doing laps every morning. But the ocean was an excellent alternative! Fun, free cooking class! The staff were wonderful, especially the breakfast waiters.

The WiFi was spotty during rush hour. And maybe it would be good if these wonderful places could have less pricey spas? I mean it doesn't matter because you can go off site, but they have these beautiful, peaceful spa rooms on the beachfront, but nobody books them because they are four times the cost of the street ones.

Location- close to the airport, beach front, close to everything Beach - can be amazing depends on the day and tide. Sometimes can be dirty but not the resort’s or guests’ fault Ambiance - fusion of classic and modern Staff - super nice, most speaks English, very helpful. Special mention to Mai! She’s the best. Cleanliness - generally clean Beautiful sunset Almost perfect place to stay!

Housekeeping - I stayed there for 10 days. On my first 5 days, they were fine. Then the rest til the day I left was bad. They dont clean the room well. I have told front desk 2x about it. They would leave a dirty glass, an almost empty bottle of water, a beach towel on the floor, messy bathroom sink. And most of all the bed. I got insect bites from the sheets and the bed. Until now they aren’t healed yet. Wifi - a bit bad coz I was doing online classes and experienced some connection issues everytime. I guess for me the biggest disappointment would be the housekeeping.

We wanted to kick start our trip with a relaxing and beautiful place and see the new year and Famiana resort was just perfect. We could check into our room early and we had an amazing room in the beach zone (garden zone is on the other side of the main room) which you could sea the ocean from. The staff were so friendly constantly smiling and looked after us very well. The room was great a good size and the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a small bath and shower. We had dinner and drinks at the resort for NYE and all the family of the staff were there too handed around champagne and gave out sparklers. We won’t forget our very relaxing stay at Famiana.

Absolutely nothing.

Beautiful pool and bar right on the beach. Nice quiet sunbathing area with the best hammocks. Good breakfast overlooking pool. Lots of restaurants right outside.

The sea wasn’t the azure blue we expected, not the hotel’s fault. Very clean private beach though.

Accommodating staff. Clean. Nice beach on location. Great resort.

If you want to be near the beach be sure to book your room in the correct zone. There are two zones and the other zone is across the street away from the beach. The beach zone is right on the beach.

Right on the beach. Plenty of sun beds. Staff couldn’t do enough for you.

The beach bar and restaurant were too expensive and were always empty

Very nice hotel, calm with a nice view, pool and beach. We had a large suite in front of the sea.

The breakfast could be improved, especially the coffee.

Very comfortable and nice. Not much people on the beach, you get the secluded beach all to your self.

Too much shade and a little damp, got a few mosquitoes. After reporting to them they took care of the problem.

The resort is incredible, very beautiful and comfortable. The rooms are nice and big, beds are super comfortable. The service is really good and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
