We stayed here prior to it being the Twin Fin and knew it was an excellent location. Twin Fin was very clean. The staff was friendly and responsive. We had a full ocean view lanai and it was perfect for relaxing.

Our only issue was the smoking in the room next to us. The Twin Fin is a non smoking property which is a big reason we like it. Our neighbors were smoking on their lanai and made it uncomfortable for us to sit out on ours. We ended up telling the hotel. They called the guests in the neighboring room and told them they couldn't smoke. So they did try, but it didn't stop the smoking. They just sat in their open door and smoked out of sight. If we left our room door open, we could smell it in our room.

We got upgraded at check-in from a beach view to a beachfront corner room with a balcony. It was well worth it! Btw, the lady at reception who checked us in was amazing! Very friendly and easy to talk to. I forgot her name but she deserves a raise! The room was bigger than most double rooms in the same area. Great water pressure and hot water in the bathroom all day. Beautiful view of the beachfront and city. And amazing sunsets! Overall great staff - friendly and helpful. Perfect location.

On the weekend we were there, there was a wedding taking place on one of the 20-something floor. Hotel guests were unable to use the lifts to get to their rooms because an obnoxious wedding organizer had taken over the ground-floor elevators letting only wedding guests in. Imagine coming back from a long day of sightseeing and swimming and then having to stand in your wet clothes, hungry and tired to get into a lift to go up to the room at the hotel you paid for! Yeah, ridiculous! Better planning needed to avoid things like this happening!

Very warm and friendly staff gorgeous ocean view of Canoes and Queens sunsets street life of Waikiki and the fireworks on Friday night. Easy access to the beach for a quick swim protected by a seawall and lifeguards. Stores handy close by and restaurants. Tiki Bar good food drinks and service right at your doorstep.

This is our fifth visit to this Hotel. The last two times after requesting a room no higher than the tenth floor we arrived last year to a room on the twenty fifth and this year to the seventeenth. My wife has an issue with heights. This year I sent two emails to the Hotel to make sure this did not happen again and it did. So after checking in and taking the seventeenth floor room exhausted from our journey Laurie dodging the window then not unpacking and getting settled because we are changing rooms the next day no fun. This is a lost evening and a complicated first day and every day is very expensive.

Food was very good, great view and great staff

Bathroom in need of renovation, no vanity or shelves, top of the toilet tank was the only place to put things. My wife was not impressed. This is not the bathroom shown on the web site.

The hotel is in a very good location right across the beach in the Waikiki area main avenue, you get to use some items like chairs, umbrellas, surf tables, etc with no extra fee. Our room had a nice partial ocean view which was very good giving the fact it was “partial”. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly too. There’s a restaurant-bar by the pool area with live music, they also offer breakfast/brunch in a higher level don’t remember the floor where you can see a nice view from on top, unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy it since we’re out since early in the morning. I’d definitely recommend this place and would stay again if I come back.

Parking is $50 per night but that’s what other places charge as well

The beachfront view is why we booked the hotel (although very expensive, it was actually among the least expensive of hotels with a similar view), and we were not disappointed. The 3 free beach item rentals (including a gopro) per day are a good value if you're planning to spend a lot of time on the beach. The location is pretty good, and there are several good food options close at hand. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean.

The elevators are very slow, there is constantly a traffic jam of people waiting, and for some reason there is no option to take the stairs instead. Go up and down from floor 3, not 1, it will save you some time. The oceanfront rooms are very noisy between the howling of the wind through the balcony door and the onsite restaurant playing loud music until 9 most nights. The main street out front was also surprisingly busy and loud, it almost felt like the vegas strip. If I were to visit again, I would actually book an oceanview room (not oceanfront). It would save some money and cut down on noise. The rooms are sparsley equipped - no desk, no chairs, no kitchen - just a keurig maker. You can request a microwave, though. Parking is expensive.

Location was on one side of the strip near Diamond Head which we knew. The room had a great view from the balcony and the beach was right downstairs which was the best thing for a family with a young child.

I thought having to pay a set amount to sit in the cabanas around the pool area wasn't particularly appropriate. You would have to rent it for the whole day but realistically you were only around the pool for a few hours.

Great location. Balcony facing sunset and the beach. Beach toys provided by Twin Fin was a nice touch.

Balcony door was heavy. Toilet tank squealed every time you flushed it. Upon checkout was charged extra for the facility charges even though I had prepaid and told on the first day I had nothing else to pay. The excuse was the rate went up in January and I had booked before December. If prepaid they should not make you pay extra or at least not tell you on the first day your all good.

It was a great location. Next to the ocean, pick up for the tours was right out front. Hotel restaurant was one of our favorites.
