Loved the accommodations, fabulous open living and bedroom - bathroom had a tub which I love! Breakfast was lovely. Dinner excellent. It was nice to have a shuttle but odd the way it worked. I think having your own car is better. We went on one game drive which was nice to see the rhino. Our driver drove too fast and I didn’t like that. He also spoke in his language to people in the safari vehicle who, Btw they were not staying at either property. Love the animals coming to the water hole every evening.

As above - the people in town boarded first which left us in the very back bouncing all around. That finished me off for any further game drives! The shuttle seemed to cater to certain people and not others. I would rent a car - must be a jeep or some sort of vehicle to handle the 4.5 km of dirt/ gravel roads. Also sweating for dinner every night was very uncomfortable- use the air con so people can eat in comfort! This was a problem at our other game lodge- it was hot and not a breath of air moving- or hand fans outside so air can move to cool u off- consider misters. The food is too good but the atmosphere ruined it.

superb location. Breakfasts very good.

The hotel has to sort out its phone number. I repeatedly tried to contact the hotel before my arrival, but the website caries an expired phone number. Guests should be provided with a business card carrying the correct number. I was supposed to be collected at a restaurant in town. The shuttle did not arrive and I had no way of contacting the hotel to find out where it was. The shuttle had been sent to the wrong restaurant.

Beautiful property right next to their conservation reserve- most dusk/ dawn you will see some giraffes, lions, and the occasional rhino at the waterhole in front of the restaurant/ bar/swimming pool. The botanical garden is teeming with baboons and mongooses. Rooms are generous, comfy and the attentive staff are very friendly and very accomodating and offer a personalised service. No request is too much. The conservation safari drive is fantastic- the guides go out of their way to show you their very special black rhino.

It is 15 min outside of VIC Falls and the hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle service. If you just want to venture out and explore on your own to get some last minute souvenirs or have a local meal/ coffee you will need to pay for your private transfer 60 USD return (transfers are only included in pre-booked activities). A hotel of this calibre should offer a free shuttle service a few times per day.

The hotel offered a super unique environment with the private game reserve surrounded. Room is very private and sweet, with super great taste of decorations and furniture, which makes here a real "bontique". All details have been cared, wonderful turn down service, perfect free coffee and tea with high quality. The balcony shows us a lot of beauty of the plains. The kitchen has the best food services in the region ever - we have tried breakfast and lunch, all tasted perfect and paid much attention on food. Lastly, we also booked activities from the hotel, their game drive is lovely where you can see their achievements on protecting black rhinos. The bush dinner offered is one of the best experiences we had, very unique experience. It makes so much sense to support a hotel with a good quality reserve in operation.

excellent staff, gorgeous rooms, great breakfast, loved the watering hole and animals that came to visit there. staff are soliticious of your every need.

we got charged for some things that should have been included, e.g., morning safari that we didn’t ask for and transport to/from airport. The last shuttle to town is at 5:00 pm so we couldn’t get a ride to town for dinner. shuttle options should be improved and should be included in hotel price. There are also not as many animals on the private game reserve that you see in other parts of Africa.

Breakfast and all meals at the restaurant was fantastic and amazing quality, choice and service. Nothing was a problem. Staff were exceptional. The location is a little out of the way but that was not an issue to us at all as we had a car and appreciated the seclusion which by the way is essential as the property adjoins a private conservation reserve.

The hotel itself is located right by the National reservation with wildlife and untouched nature, near the infamous Victoria Waterfalls. The territory of the hotel is relatively big with many plants and in general very green. Sometimes, you can see animals just running through, eating grass or minding their own business — a truly wonderful sight and you can thank the hotel for such a rare opportunity. One thing is very special about this hotel - and that’s the interior’s design. The entire hotel is built in an antique-like manner, and you have the impression that you’ve ended up in the 20th century. We have booked in advance and asked the hotel staff to organise 3 tours for us: a helicopter tour, a safari tour (which was mind blowing, to say the least) and a waterfall tour. Proper thanks to Michael, he was our guide for the safari and the falls tour. And the hotel’s staff has completed all of our requests and surpassed our expectations. Expect very friendly staff, waving, smiling and greeting you at every step — very welcoming. In general, we were impressed by the level of friendliness. The small houses which you check into have a great view from the living room, from the bedroom and right from the bath. The rooms are spacious, comfy, with many space and extraordinarily enormous beds — also, incredibly comfortable. All the amenities were of high quality and there was plenty of them. Regarding the restaurant and the bar in the hotel, the food was great. You have the chance to try the local dishes (highly recommended), but also there is plenty of options for regular food. Also to mention the breakfast, where the variety of dishes is offered. We’ve chosen the Royal Benedict eggs - they were delightful. The drinks, varying from freshly squeezed orange juice to gin and tonic were amazing. Overall, we were pleased and highly impressed by the service and can confidently say that we will come back.

The location right by the national park is breathtaking, the service was mostly excellent, and the amenities and food were exceptional.

The door handles across all the doors are too close to the frame so everyone we opened doors we had to get into an awkward position to minimize bruising our knuckles. Housekeeping called late at night, almost waking the baby.

Everything. If only all hotels were like this.

The hairdryer wasn’t to my wife’s specification. Which is something many people will understand. Also we didn’t / couldn’t use the pool but I level no complaint here because keeping a pool clean in these temperatures would require a full time employee.

What an absolute treat to stay in this luxurious lodge. The staff were attentive and very helpful. Sitting at the pool watching the animals come to the water hole is spectacular. Breakfast was delicious and the room very luxurious. Our guide on the game drive was the best guide we have every had, his knowledge of everything from animals to trees was outstaniding.

We just wish we could have stayed another night.
