What an exceptional place - from the staff to the facilities, the food and the views - we could not fault a thing. I travelled with my 14 year old Son - he was in absolute awe of everything.

The only downside is the fact that South Africans have to pay US Dollars. Had the experience been more affordable we would return on an annual basis - the rand dollar exchange just does not allow for this. It would be incredible if a regional rate could be made available.

We had the best experience - we had a suite and the facilities were excellent, the bed was massive and very comfortable! The shower was amazing, the bath was huge and my daughter loved it and the extras like a loofah and bath salts were a great touch The view of the waterhole was incredible, the wifi was great The mosquito net around the bed is actually one of the best we have ever experienced, in terms of accessibility getting in and out of bed without getting tangled and keeping the bugs out. The staff were incredible, esp booking the activities of the bungee jump and zip line, the restaurant and bar staff went above and beyond, special mention to Phillip who was excellent interacting with our 2 year old. We will definitely come back and stay!

The only issue was the bath plug was a slow empty so we had to keep refilling - but it was a lovely bath it didn't bother us!

This is a fabulous hotel. Great staff, nice rooms, amazing views of the waterhole with so much game visiting. A very big thank you to Darlington, his service and attitude in sorting out a problem with our room was very professional and so patient, worked overtime for 2 hours sorting out the issue and never mentioned it. His service continued throughout our stay. He is a huge credit to the hotel. Also a mention to Victoria on reception she also stood out. A shout out to Parrot as well, very professional and helpful! The Spa is a real treat. From the second you arrive. Truly tranquil with amazing staff who do their best to ensure you have an amazing experience and treatments. The pool is also good, nice and quiet and they serve a nice light and healthy lunch.

The pool and bar area can get a little overcrowded and noisy. Also some of the bar staff (not all - just a few) have attitudes - not nice and unusual as most of the people are so warm and friendly!

We paid extra to be upgraded to the Club rooms which were only a very short walk from the main lodge and were lovely and quiet with no kids allowed. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Complementary afternoon tea and sundowners with canapes were provided which was a very nice bonus. We loved the fact that the lodge is 10 minutes out of town giving you a bit of a "bush" experience if that's what you want. Going for a walk around the estate in the morning we bumped into Warthog, Vervet Monkeys and Banded Mongeese

The only downside of the Club rooms were they are a bit further away from the waterhole however it was easy enough to walk over to the Buffalo bar in the main lodge which had a bit more 'action' and a better view of the waterhole. While the service in the Club rooms was impeccable, the service in the Buffalo bar was a bit slow at times.

Our room was amazing. I thought we would have the regular room with a balcony and waterhole view, but we had a loft, so the waterhole view could be seen on the first and second levels. The reception welcome was one of the best greetings I'd ever had at a hotel or resort. On the grounds, there were deer, Whart hogs, Baboons, Vultures, etc. Not to mention the other animals that could be viewed at the water hole from our room or the Buffalo Bar. Housekeeping was amazing, and all of the facilities and kind personnel were wonderful, helpful, and welcoming. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Vic Falls. I included photos, but the "lobby" photo is not the actual lobby where reception is located. It is an upstairs lounge area.

Our room was not available our last night there, so we had to go down the road to Lokuthula Lodges, but we were still able to use Safari Club/ Lodge facilities since they're all connected. It was still a plus because we were able to walk to the Boma restaurant for our dinner reservations the final night of our stay.

Close to the falls, very safe and secure, unbeatable view of the watering hole, good gym, excellent pool, great poolside service, good restaurant. The Boma experience is fantastic. Great singers during dinner.

This property veered from the 5-star special treatment we received previously during our stay in Africa and it was more like it was catering for the masses, like a generic Lanzarote or Tenerife hotel. LOADS of tourists staying here and felt busy all the time. But honestly, very good.

excellent location and beautiful sunset views nice attentive service.

the hotel is dated and overpriced for the standard it offers. i arranged a pick up from the airport and no one showed up and i had to take a taxi. when advised at the hotel no one even apologised… the price tag of 500 USD was justfied perhaps 20 yrs ago but at present it is more a 3/4 star property..

I wish my room had a bathtub. That was really the only complaint. The room was advertised as "watering hole view" but it was really off to the side (room 46). Amazing though, I only stayed one night. I woke up to see the sunrise and saw families of pumbas, monkeys, etc. Magical!!!

Please have change available, wanted to tip more but only had a $100 bill, and neither the front desk or gift shop could really help.

An absolutely amazing place to visit and relax. The stunning suite overlooking the watering hole from your bed was the best with numerous animal and bird species that are visiting the waterhole from early morning to late evenings. The Service we received was excellent from the greeting at arrival, the interaction each day, the friendly doorman, shuttle service and the multitude of staff at the hotel. This hotel is highly recommended, and we will definitely return.

Fantastic location, you will see a lot of animal life around the waterhole, from the bar/restaurant or from your room balcony. I believe this is the best lodge for that area. Great activities desk, will help you book all the necessary tours/safaris of good quality Very calm at night, and you can keep some fresh air coming in through the balcony metal mesh doors

You need to come with the right mood - this is Africa and it is not easy to get the service level one might be used at luxury resorts, but the personnel is trying at their best Aircon was not working but we did not need it in July
