Burleigh on the Beach

The apartment was clean and well appointed. Good shower and comfortable bed. Good location in that the beach was a 2 minute walk away and easy 10 minute walk to shops and cafes. Nice pool.

The apartment was on the third floor and there was no lift. Our apartment faced out over the street and the trafffic noise was so loud that we did not use the balcony or leave the doors open. We were also unfortunate enough to strike a time when road works were being done at night right outside the building so there were a couple of sleep disturbed nights. I would still recommend the accommodation but ask for an inward facing apartment.

Superb location - half block from beach, main road for buses and car access, 20 mins from airport, 10 mins from surfers, and a walk to all that Burleigh has to offer. The place is older than most, but more than makes up for it with really nice genuine people looking after it, and similarly, other great guests. it probably only has 25 rooms so its not a sprawling megalithic place, but it has everything you need, including secure parking. We met people that rebook every year...and are keeping tabs on this one for next year.

We cannot think of anything that could have been improved upon

We loved the location, with a life guard station right at the end of the street. It was a perfect location for beach-goers like us! The owner/residents are super friendly and welcoming, as is management staff. It was a only a short walk to lots of restaurants and James Street for shopping/eating. We loved walking along the Esplanade in the evening!

Although nicely furnished, it was not well set up for a long-term stay like ours (26 nights). The kitchen had the bare minimum. The suite sleeps 4 and there was literally 4 of each kind of cutlery, each kind of plate, bowl, and glasses, and only one mixing/salad bowl, no measuring spoons, and no coffee press. We bought measuring cups and spoons and a french press for our breakfast coffee. The assumption seems to be that guests will not be doing much cooking there. For a few nights, that would be safe assumption. But we found it a challenge to cook. Our unit was on the top floor, and we had a small view of the ocean at our request. However, we would not recommend the trek up the stairs for anyone not able to deal with climbing stairs. Request a lower floor unit if stairs are an issue!

Burleigh on the Beach is a very quiet, small block of units, situated on a highway BUT the double glazed windows in the bedroom eliminated all outside noise at night, a big plus for country people not used to traffic noise during the night. Our unit was very comfy and clean and even though we had only a glimpse of the ocean, we had a view of very coastal vegetation which gave our unit a real holiday atmosphere. The price of the unit for the week was very reasonable- probably comparable with a pretty good motel but with so much more space.

Perhaps a couple of extra serving dishes for the kitchen would have been handy, and maybe some edging on the steps to prevent slipping on the carpet. The steps are a bit narrow and I caught the heel of my shoes twice on them.

The apartment was beautiful and so clean. Comfy bed and pillows, an immediate sense of feeling at home with well appointed kitchen, laundry amenities were good quality and so convenient. Betty and Rob are so helpful and friendly and really do everything to make sure your stay is so wonderful. Location is perfect, a quick walk to the beach and there’s some fantastic dining nearby. Highly recommend Willow, a tapas bar a very short walk from the apartments, thank you Rob for the recommendation! We enjoyed the gym facilities too, so convenient to be able to pop down and get a workout in before going about your day :) Burleigh is such a quiet picturesque place to relax and unwind. I’ve already booked for us to return, it was an incredible 8 days. We can’t wait to come back!!

The service was friendly and very helpful, the apartment was clean and had everything I needed. The bed was nice and comfy and the location was really convenient to everything on the coast! Would definitely come back.

This isn't a critique on the property at all, but as the location is on the highway, I would suggest that if you are a light-sleeper, it might be best to request a room that doesn't face the road, as I did struggle to sleep some nights due to traffic noise and as there was nightworks going on, but that is no fault of the property at all!

Excellent accommodation a little further away from the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise proper. Easy access just off the main highway that cuts through all of Gold Coast, and only a short walk to the nearby beach as well as a selection of great eateries close by. Hosts were lovely and provided so much helpful advise during our stay. Having easy access to a soda bed (though linens are a small extra fee) was also extremely helpful, and helped my partner escape the road noises ever so slightly.

Not the best if one of your party is a light sleeper / does not like road noise as some rooms do face the highway. If so remember to request a dwelling which is on the opposite side of the building! Whilst the the majority of the facilities were excellent, and quite roomy, the bathroom was a bit musky initially and airing it out did not assist much.

The unit was one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in. It was clean, tidy and inviting. It had a kitchen which we wanted and most of the basic equipment to prepare and cook food. The balcony overlooked the pool which was nice. It was easy to get the key and drop off the key at the end of our stay. Secure free car parking was great too. Great location and short 1-2 walk to the patrolled beach. It was a bit quieter to be away from the main part but close enough to walk easily to the main part of Burleigh Heads. It was also an easy walk to Aldi, Coles and also many cafes, restaurants, boutique breweries etc. Also a free shuttle to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre close by. It was a great central location to everything.

No lift - my husband had a lot of trouble on the stairs. We were there 8 nights and would normally expect at least one cleaning service for this length of stay, which is usually standard for self-contained units.

Loved the pricing on this unit and so close to the beach. I was concerned the road noise would be an issue but the windows are double glazed. The unit is very big and spacious so you have room to spread out. Wifi connection was fantastic with unlimited data. Loved the fact it had a washer and dryer, made it easy to stay on top of our washing. Very close to the beach and eateries. Property manager Betty was super helpful and very friendly. Really like the secure car parking below, we decided to leave our car there and walk everywhere. Unit is also tastefully decorated and has air con in the lounge and a fan in the bedroom, which was all we needed.

There is nothing not to like with this place. It's really nice and a great place. Would definitely stay again.

We were very happy with our proximity to the beach and access to main thoroughfares to local tourist attractions. There were many restaurants/bars within easy walking distance. The apartment was very well presented and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Inclusion of private parking was fantastic for us and the pool was nice.

The location is very prone to traffic noise from the adjacent highway. Lounge seating is insufficient for 4 guests (there were only 3 of us though) and the single couch was not very comfortable.
