Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton St. John's Airport

The desk person Fahad was exceptional. When we asked for a higher suite, directions to the bus and had a concern re our door not locking he was quick to take care of all of these concerns. For security reasons he changed us to a new suite, offered apologies and brought us a goody bag. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Great location close to shopping, restaurants and a Metro Bus to take you right into downtown St. John's. Buffet breakfast has great selections of tasty food. Close to the airport. Would definitely choose this hotel again.

Our room lock had been broken from the beginning and once we realized this, anyone could have pushed the door in as we slept or were out. Fortunately we noticed on the second day and Fahad quickly moved us to a new suite. He was gracious and concerned. Didn't like having to move all of our luggage as we were on our way out with family. Still, resolved well.

Convenient to our family.

The hotel was very expensive also it was filled with refugees. While I recognize the need for places to stay for refugees, the hotel facilities were not ideal for people living with families for extended periods. They clearly lacked places to gather together, prepare meals, entertain their children… I noticed empty meeting rooms that could have been opened up for them for programs or gathering space. Instead many men were loitering about the lobby and main entrance. I can’t imagine how confining it must be for the women to be stuck in their hotel rooms. I made for a thought-provoking experience for tourists.

The size of the room was really generous and the gym and onsite laundry was a great inclusion! Excellent wifi, firm beds, and perfect shower water pressure made this a really solid base for day trips and transit stays.

There are no room safes however this seems to be common across Canada that we’ve seen. However this would not be a deterrent to is staying again.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Nice to see the return to daily housekeeping. Pool was clean and sufficient seating for non-swimmers. Breakfast was delicious with multiple options including homemade waffles.

Fire alarm was activated upon checkin and elevators needed to be reset before able to use, so needed to climb 5 flights of stairs with luggage. The heat/AC was difficult to maintain set temperature without manual intervention.

Breakfast was great and it was nice and quiet. Staff were pleasant at the front desk and were able to locate my flat iron and keep it for me until I was able to get back.

The ottoman was old and peeling. Fake leather look. It really took away from the room as the decor was really nice and modern. Really need to replace that.

Breakfast staff we amazing food not bad could be better..coffee good..beds weren't good my body hurt when I woke linens were pretty but were polyester not cotton so didnt breathe I had terrible sleeps..room was clean staff amazing..invest in good beds like quality un or sheraton. Linens at sheraton are amazing . Air quality not so good. U should change filters more often and add humidifier..or an openable window way too dry. Wifi never shuts off as well.. late check out here at Sheraton for 2pm! Love that.

It's a small thing, but I really liked the addition of the night light in the bathroom. I have never stayed in a hotel that has thought to do this before. It makes a big difference.

The room I was given was not the room I booked online. No explanation was given and I did not know until i was in the room. The room was perfectly fine, but hopefully I wasn't given a cheaper room at a more expensive rate.

It was nice to have a hot breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ample parking.

The pool wasn't what I was expecting, but to be fair I haven't used a hotel pool before. I understand now it's more for relaxation than swimming laps. Was still enjoyable.

Room was very comfortable , clean etc . Fabulous comfortable large bed . Beautiful bathroom. Staff very helpful , friendly and efficient

In the lobby of hotel, hot water container was empty , Breakfast was only OK, bacon was not nice .

Clearly the place has good management
