location, comfortable room with bed & sofa, nice professional & helpful staff

the room off of the lobby, supposed to be a bar…it was a bare room with a collection of tables…so uninviting and scruffy looking…incredible when paying $300. per night to stay at a MARRIOTT! Even to get a coffee, was a paper cup & closed at 10 pm & we were left to sit in this awful room! Tried only one night after a full Great day of activities. Our group of ten that had five rooms were disappointed with this! Shame on you for this poor service & unorganized ugly room!

The location was excellent and the staff were courteous and very nice. It was a beautiful room with so much space, I loved it. It was very clean and love the ability to have room service and Starbucks!

The only downside was no parking was available that evening (full) so I had to park across the street in a pay parking lot. I didn't care about where I had to park, it was just that after 6pm apparently the pay parking lot doesn't offer the 24 hour pay option the hotel told us it would and I had to be out of it by 8 am. A person behind me had the same issue and could only pay til 8 am as well. This took nothing away from the hotel and it's amenities at all, just a note that parking can be an issue especially if you're staying multiple nights and get there after 6 pm.

The location was great for interacting with both the old city and the harbor. The Bistro has very good breakfast and lunch snack options. Staff was so helpful. Jennie came to our rescue when the clothes dryer proved to be inoperable, and our soaking load of laundry needed to be dried. There was an indoor pool and a gym. The towels were soft. Bed was comfortable but the sheets were a bit rough.

Nice hotel. Great view of the harbor. Good size room. Can't beat the location. Can walk to a lot of areas to sightsee. Would stay at this hotel again.

Your website mentioned parking but did not specify that it was a limited number of spaces. We discovered this when we arrived. Had to park in a parking garage up the street. We did get hotel parking the next day. Also did not realize that housekeeping was only every other day. Not a problem if we had been told ahead of time. However, staff was very helpful.

The location was excellent. Eighth floor patio was very nice.

The couch was not comfortable at all. Needs more cushions to support your back because the seating is so deep. The tv service provider was extremely poor. the channel selection was very limited. You can’t even get the local stations like CTV Atlantic that is produced in Halifax. Missed the local news & weather from Live at 5 & the 6 o’clock news.

We did not have breakfast there . Loved the location- dinner at the Bicycle Thief- sat outside overlooking waterfront- excellent. Also enjoyed dinner at Hermitage. Both a short walk. Loved the farmers market, the NS art gallery…We actually found free street parking for the weekend.

Better black out curtains would have been nice. The curtains “gapped” - I tried using a hair clip and furniture to close the gaps/ pin to the wall.

it’s location. The room was a good size, but the placement of the sofa made it slightly difficult to access the left side of the bed. The room was very quiet, except for morning construction and the snow plows clearing the parking lot next door.

The morning noise of a city waking up, large truck traffic.

The location was perfect with easy access to dining, transportation, tours and Halifax’s waterfront walkway. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The roof top patio common area had a spectacular view.

What’s not to like? The only minor thing was that the bathroom could use a fan.

They had private parking which was much appreciated! A truck could fit no problem, but take the big spaces. Great location downtown as well!

Could use some updating, but everything was clean and in good working order.

Wonderful location. We walked to many sights & restaurants. Enjoyed being able to take our coffee for a 5 minute walk to enjoy on the waterfront. Parking on-site was great, although the parkade is a little tight. Appreciated being able to store our bags after checkout until we left for the airport.
