Monte Carlo Inn Markham

The front counter staff was great. Polite and helpful, the gentleman that checked us in was hilarious! The plug for our hot tub broke, but they were great with replacing it. We also had never been to Markham, and he gave us lots of awesome ideas for things to do right near the hotel.

The breakfast wasn’t anything special. Having to pay the same price to “upgrade” to bacon and eggs as if you just walked in off the street is not really an upgrade but more like a bait and swap. And the safe didn’t work in our room.

Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious though not too many options. Room service was excellent. Area was very quiet and safe but it's a chineese neighbourhood.

There was a restaurant incorporated into the hotel which provided a continental breakfast; eggs, bacon, etc was $7 extra charge for each person per day or when you selected that. Location of hotel was in a good area of Markham , but it took an hour to reach downtown Toronto with horrific heavy traffic and traffic jams.

As stated above, if we were to return to the Toronto to specifically see the downtown sites, we would choose a hotel much closer to downtown.

Comfortable bed, breakfast included in the price and sufficiently filling, proximity to the venue we needed to attend (Markham Pan Am Center) and lower price than alternative hotel options in the area

It was pretty good, so I have to look for something to complain about. A minor inconvenience was that breakfast had paid extras (like sausages) which would be great to have included as by the end of stay I was a little bit tired of hard boiled eggs

It was a good place to go for a family. It had the basics of what was needed for a stay there. We spent the majority of the day outside the inn, so we were effectively only sleeping there. I would recommend buying bottled water since you are expected to buy water from a vending machine. If you have certain dietary restrictions like gluten or lactose intolerance, the breakfast will not be ideal, but I made it work with some eggs and tea. In general, it was a good value for money!

There need to be an improvement on the breakfast. provide healthier food. Not everyone likes sugary food. The management should alternate menu for breakfast, not same thing every day. I lodged in Monte Carlo for 12days ate same food that I got tired.

I lost My 1 Night bill to the Hotel due to flight issues from Frankfort to Canada, I was supposed to come in 25th but arrived 26th Dec 2021 which I called in time to inform the booking agent. The Monte Carlo management couldn't help to savage the situation Even after spending 12nights. I actually was supposed to stay 13nights which I paid for. I lost 1 night pay I didn't use. it's unfortunate. It hurts badly.

The Staff was very rude to us and for that reason we will not be returning to this site. One waitress tried to choose what my partner should eat and pack a bag for him without asking. We felt that was extremely disrespectful. The so claimed Manager was equally sailing in the same boat. Picking out what my partner can have to eat for breakfast and that was very disrespectful. We did not have a good breakfast at all.

If breakfast is included customer service is first and foremost.

i liked the hot shower and the cleanliness of the room, the ability to adjust our own room temperature was amazing.

continental breakfast did not include any proteins option , Would have loved the option of being able to have the continental breakfast brought back to our room rather than a dine in option only. Also the fridge in our room was leaking water and did not stay cold . other than that the staff were friendly and able to accommodate.

Breakfast was reasonable. However, the breakfast was supposed to be grab and go, with nothing packaging stuff or material to carry over outside in the car in case you are in a hurry to leave. The purpose and proposal to grab the breakfast in a hurry and leave would not serve due to lack of proper packaging material to carry outside the Hotel.

Strangely, I was not provided with a payment receipt when checking out. I was told that if booking is done online, there is no payment receipt and that the Invoice by email be considered as Customer's payment receipt. Is it correct ?

I loved how clean our room was! All the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast that was included was nice and conviennent. The location was good; about a 8min walk for a Tim’s! We felt very safe here! Loved this stay and would come again.

There was only one vending and ice machine located in the lobby so it was a bit of a walk to get that but not a huge problem considering this hotel was fairly small.
