I picked this particular location because of the location in the city and the activities I had planned. Everything was within walking distance. The staff was great and very helpful. Although. We got a whole tour of the city on a map, and none of that really interested us. We just wanted to know where so good local food places were. But it was nice of the person to draw out everything on the map for us.

I guess you get what you pay for. The room was a good size for 2 people. But, the fan that was provided didn't really do a good job at cooling the room. Slept with the window open just for some cooler air. When we went down for breakfast, there was no electricity. The toaster and lights weren't working in the breakfast area. Also the fridge in the room didn't keep.anyrhing cold. Just slightly cooler than room temperature.

We had a lovely room at the front with a balcony - the one over the lobby. We really appreciated the coffee machine/hot water access at any time. The location was great - walkable to many vibrant parts of the city.

One of us prefers black tea (orange pekoe) like Tetley and Red Rose however only green tea, chamomile and other 'flavours' were available. But, it seems in Quebec this tea is not common and when black tea has been requested at other places it's Earl grey which is not orange pekoe/English breakfast type tea. So, we didn't even ask the desk. We opted to try cappuccino instead from the machine which was fine. It would also be great if the bus station across the street could complete their renovations as it appears dilapidated and is not the ideal view.

Staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful. I was concerned after reading some reviews about the area but it ended up being convenient for metro travel and had a lovely park not even a block away. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and yes it was a cold breakfast but many choices. Thrilled about the 24 hour access to coffee, tea, juices and filtered water.

There was a terribly stained hall carpet that needs to be replaced. It is not consistent with the appearance of the rest of the hotel. Think the neighborhood has some growing pains although safe.

Very clean. Wonderful staff! Felt safe and secure in this hotel. Lots of patios and bars and restaurants in this area, within walking distance. Two excellent vegan restaurants nearby! Lots of interesting shops, music stores. Lots of park space and areas to sit down outside to enjoy the sun or eat take-out/picnic.

Rooms are not very soundproof. At times I could hear TV through the wall. Other member of our party as awakened early in AM by thumping, bumping, banging sounds through walls and ceiling. No vegan breakfast options. No non-dairy milk for tea, coffee at complimentary coffee bar. (But I didn't stay at this hotel for the breakfast. ;) )

Staff was extremely good, very helpful and very kind. One of the best EconoLodge staff, I have ever come across in north America Facilities/cleanliness /comfort/Location very good. Room/washroom were very clean. Inside the hotel Noice was zero. Rooms were cleaned every day if you request between 0800-1000. Shower was with high pressure and was very hot. Breakfast room was very clean, and staff was refilling all breakfast items very frequently. One of the best EconoLodge in north America offering a good breakfast. We enjoyed very hot tea, very hot coffee, very hot chocolate drinks, very cool orange juice and very cool apple juice and was available for 24/7. They offered breakfast from 0700-1000. Microwave oven, plastic cups, plastic plates and cutlery was available for 24/7 If you request toaster oven you can use it at any time. If you request iron and ironing board, you can get it at any time. Location -very close to Metro station. IGA is a very good supper market situated close to the hotel. Safety within the hotel - In each hallway there were many security cameras. Wi-fi was very good. Elevator to upper floors was very convenient. Very friendly and very fast check in and check out.

It is good value for its price. The room is simple, but has a good bed and bathroom. I was in Montreal for the International AIDS Conference, and the location of Econolodge allowed me to just walk back and forth to the conference venue every day. The room had good wifi, which was important for me to catch up on work in the evenings. The room has a fridge, and there is a nearby grocery store. The television also worked very well. Nearby is also a stop for the bus shuttle to/from the airport. So if you are okay with simple lodging, then this is a good place to stay. I had booked this myself as all hotels that were available to book via the conference itself were more expensive and/or were further away from the venue (and then not allowing to walk back and forth).

Great location, walking distance from everything. Public parking for just $15/day across the road. The hotel is clean, the breakfast is good (honestly for this price I wouldn't expect it at all), and there's a nice patisserie at the crosswalk 50m from the hotel.

Air conditioner was really hard to control (there's no remote control, you just have to manually move something on the ceilings), so it was either "super cold" or "doesn't work at all". The door to the washroom was hard to operate.

Very reasonably priced basic but friendly and comfortable place in a street of smaller hotels just a short walk from Bérri-UQAM Métro station in central Montréal's Quartier Latin/Le Village, not too far a walk from Vieux-Montréal, plenty of bars and food options nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff, small room as expected for price but quiet and with a comfortable bed, decent shower, chairs, storage space, fridge. We stayed just one night on our way back home via Montréal airport after visiting some other Canadian cities and it hit the spot -- quick, easy and cheap trip to airport next day via Métro and shuttle bus.

Minor issues for the price. Breakfast was very basic Continental-style help-yourself with no seating in the small breakfast room, just standing tables, but you could always take food to your room and the coffee machines were free 24-hours too. Room was a little warm and stuffy, sealed windows of course but the aircon didn't seem to adjust.

We constantly got complaints about walking on the floor. We were at a festival all weekend and barely home the second we got there we would get a call complaining about how loud we were walking on the floor and talking. On the last day they asked me how the stay was and I complained about this and they told me it was somebody who was a refugee from Ukraine that wanted somewhere quiet to stay underneath us. That is fine. But do not book a hotel basically downtown Montreal during a festival weekend. We barely got to enjoy ourselves at the hotel every time we were talking we got a call or someone knocking on the door. Other than this. The stay was very enjoyable and the rooms are very comfortable. We actually stayed at this hotel 12 years ago when it was Hotel Elegant.

The bed, the location near subway, the wi-fi, and the all-day free coffee.

It was cold in my room. I asked for an extra blanket, but they put it away every time they entered to clean the room. Also, every time they cleaned the room they throw away the soap, so I had to open new ones every day. I'm very concerned about non-recyclable packaging, so I ended up asking them not to clean my room. Still, once they entered my room although I asked not to.
