Hobo Helsinki

All the staff at glo kluuvi were all super friendly and attentive to all my needs. The location doesn’t get any better than this if you want to be in downtown Helsinki area. The hotel was pretty quiet regardless of it’s super central location and did not at any point have problems with noise.

I didn’t like that there wasn’t a gym! They used to have that gym that both kämp and glo both used but now it’s chargeable to use that gym as kämp fully owns it now. For Glo guest the gym is 10 euros per person per session… Also they could have cleaned the floors a bit better in my room as during daylight I still saw little dust balls after they had already come for that day.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was perfect - close to all the important objects - train station, the port and the cathedral. Despite being located on the busy street, it wasn't noisy at all. The room was clean and the bed - super comfy. Good quality toiletries. I really liked the breakfast - a huge variety of different food options, vegan and gluten free options included. The staff people were really nice.

The bathroom was separated from the main room area by the glass doors and they did not close completely shut. Since I was staying alone, it wasn't a problem at all but if there's more people I could see how this could be a problem for someone.

My room was facing one of the main streets in Helsinki but with good windows it was still quiet. The room was a bit on the small size but still with enough closet space and a nice bathroom with good shower. Internet was good too. The breakfast was really amazing, I stayed for 3 nights and each morning there was diversity in the breakfast with local but also more international foods and beverages and fresh fruits and veggies.

The entree was a bit small / hard to find at first. Also going up my room was behind 2 or 3 different doors each time having to open with card. Good for safety but not handy if you have bags or luggage.

The lady at the front desk was very helpful ... I had to do a PCR test for COVID-19 before returning home and when I asked where I could do it, she told me about a hospital called Aava. Thanks to her, I was able to return home smoothly. The rooms are compact in size, but the furnishings are elegant and beautiful. Separate toilets and showers were a plus.

The room was comfortable, but I would have preferred a desk and chair for working on laptop computer. When I participated in an online conference in this room, it was a bit inconvenient to use the washbasin.

The location is perfect for a downtown visitor as the hotel is at the very heart of Helsinki. Easy walking access to central district places. The room layout is visually very nice with the shower area opening nicely into the living room. The restaurant is ambient with the breakfast having all the usual offerings.

Because of the central location there can be some disturbing noises heard during the night. Not just the party people but also different kind of maintenance services doing their things.

The room was a really good size, bed super comfy, and pillows amazingly soft. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Large self service buffet of salad, cold meat, cheese, bread, rolls, hot bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, blinis, cake, fruit, biscuits…and more! The hotel is as central as it is possible to get-right opposite the hallowed halls of the Fazer Cafe!

We stayed for a week, and my only niggle was that the hard floor in our room was very dusty. At one point I dropped a pair of black leggings on the floor, and when I picked them up, they were absolutely covered and had to go in the wash.

GLO Hotel is located in the real city center. City center can be reached and visited by foot.

Cleaning can be improved. The mirror in the bathroom was broken and nobody noticed preparing and before assigning me the room. Unusual for an international hotel in a capital city, espresso coffee at breakfast is charged additionally. Suggested partner parking house was really expensive. Checkin-Checkout hours for family rooms are different

The reception are friendly, great location and price is reasonable. I always stay here when I’m in Helsinki and have done so for the past 8 years or so.

Didn’t have anything negative during my stay. one thing would be that the kitchen is open every day and room service available every day but this isn’t going to affect my over all stay.

We loved the hotel as it was close to the Christmas market and some lovely restaurants. They helped us book a large taxi to get everyone back to the airport the next morning for our flight into Lapland. Lovely atmosphere, large room, amazing shower

They weren't too keen on booking us a taxi from the airport but I guess they don't have a shuttle service themselves
