Hotel De Suède

The Hotel is open 24 hours and I arrived at midnight. The Location is fantastic. A few minutes walk to the Promenade, Old Town and all shops and restaurants. The hotel has a lift. I have stayed here twice previously and will do so again.

The Hotel blocks the wifi for WhatsApp and Facebook!

the hotel is 200 meters from beach and located at prime spot. shopping malls, best restaurants are just beside the hotel. Staff at reception are very helpful!

the room I stayed in didn’t has a plug box facility to connect phone charger. even bathroom didn’t have any plugbox if you need to connect for example electric brush charger. except this point, I am satisfied with all other facilities in hotel.

Location great, we have stayed at this hotel before and this was why we returned, the room is spotlessly clean and towels , and bedding changed a lot, the staff are friendly and helpful so I these points I would say the hotel is excelent There was always plenty of hot water and the air con worked really well and wasn't noisy.

I shared the room with my daughter and the wardrobe space was very small only four hangers between us and no drawers to put anything in which meant we had to keep everything in the case all week so clothes were skewed up and creased, the chair was too big for the room and took up too much room and the bathroom was cramped. On a personal note although there looked like a lot of choice for breakfast there was no breakfast rolls and the bread had been sliced too early and was dry and very hard crust which I don't like so I didn't enjoy the breakfast.

I have stayed at the Suede 4 times over the last 6 years. The location is great - very close walk to the beach and old city as well as public transport and convenience grocery stores, museums, shopping and many restaurants. The hotel buffet breakfast was convenient but the quality was somewhat mediocre...but not bad either. There are plenty of affordable options for breakfast outside in the town. I will recommend Suede to anyone including families with young children. This is not a super fancy hotel but a solid 3 star. I had to catch an early flight so was down in the lobby at 4 am - the overnight staff was extremely helpful in getting me transport to the airport. overall very friendly staff.

The welcome we received at reception from Alex set the scene for a wonderful break. He was kind, helpful, funny and made sure we made the most of our stay and we enjoyed talking to him each morning - a great ambassador for the hotel and for Nice itself. We also enjoyed the location of the breakfast lounge with a fantastic view of the town from the roof terrace and the hotel was a perfect location in the town close to the sea front, Promenade des Anglais, lots of great cafes and restaurants and the old town. The bed was very comfortable and the room had all the things to make you comfortable.

The bathroom door did not close properly and was very close to the toilet which made the bathroom a little awkwardly laid out despite being plenty big enough. Also the curtains didn't quite fit which made it a little light in the mornings but neither were big issues.

Room was very big, beds comfortable and we had a lot of pillows from where to choose. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was good but with a small variety of hot and cold meals (scrambles or boiled eggs, 1 pr 2 types of ham, 1 type of cheese, yoghurt, fruit, jam/honey/nutella, butter, coffee, tea and also bread/pastries). Everyone at the hotel was very nice, from the guys at the reception, the girls at breakfast and the cleaning lady. The location is perfect - a lot of restaurant near the hotel, 5 mins walk to the beach, 5 mins walk to the old city center.

Just 2 sockets - in one of them we had the refrigerator. None besides the bed. The toilet’s position is weird - it is right behind the door, on the corner so it was a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast variety could be better. No umbrellas at the reception.

Room 554 Excellent location. Convenient room measurements. Alex in the reception is one of a kind! The Turkish lady is extremely friendly, cooperative and has a welcoming smile and tone!

Housekeeping work only till 4pm . At least for senior people with limited capabilities to get standard breakfast in their room. No kettle nor coffee nor tea in the room. Daily Water bottles for free in the room as per number of guests in the room.

For 3 star French hotel it was decent. The location is great and the FO staff was very helpful and smiley.

Breakfast service is a little strange. There were half the cutlery (missing forks) at the tables as per the hotel standards. In addition there were juice glasses and coffee cups at the table, yet there were no deuce a service and the guest were supposed to take the glasses to the machines, which was a little strange

The location was excellent for exploring the Old Town. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

If I had to find a fault I’d say that the design of the bathroom could have been better. The WC was located right in the corner, behind the door, making using it a little awkward. But I can only comment on our room and I certainly wouldn’t let this little detail stop me from staying here again.

Lovely little hotel right where you want to be for exploring Nice, bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel. So much choice. 3 / 4 minutes walk from the beach which stretches for miles. Rooms were very good size we found, comfy beds and nice bathroom. Reception really helpful and friendly. Very good underground carpark 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Peace of mind when you are driving in Nice to have somewhere to park nearby.
