Great location. Good value. Hotel interior is clean stylish and looks newly renovated. Good breakfast. Room was comfortable

No parking. Very low key lobby for an otherwise nice hotel

It was super clean. The reception staff particularly Elise and Matthew were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble particularly when we first arrived and had so many questions. Breakfasts were superb with plenty of choice. There was a full English breakfast with sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, as well as croissants, yogurts, toast, a selection of bread, boiled eggs, grapefruit, pineapple, oranges and grapefruit. Then there was another tray of fresh fruit consisting of apples, bananas, kiwi fruit etc. The breakfast staff were very helpful and kept the tables cleaned and ready for the next visitors.

We could not fault the property at all.

It’s very new and clean. Modern design. Larger than we expected. Very helpful staff. Offered their pantry to reheat our takeaway with their microwave, and stored our food for us in their fridge. Re-opened their dining area for us off hours so that we could eat.

The lift was out of order. The showerhead handle was rusty. Bad soundproof. Our room was right next to the staircase and we keep hearing people going up and down the stairs. Quite irritating actually. So, don’t stay in a room next to the staircase! Try to tell the staff that when you check in!

Lovely stay, great view even if you dont have oceanfront room. The room and bathroom size was big, and the esspresso and tea was delicious!!!

The heat stopped working and the staff couldn't fix, the water was hard to keep within the shower itself and flooded the bathroom because of the faucet positioning, the carpets could definitely go (gave it a musty vibe even though the room was super clean), and the hallways were also super dated with carpet and smelled slightly, gotta be patient with that slow elevator. One other note for solo female travelers: I was followed a few times in Nice so please be careful and vigilant!!!!

The location of the hotel on the border of the old town is excellent. Cours Saleya market, restaurants, attractions, tram stop - everything is a short walk away. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and equipped with everything we needed. Having a terrace was a bonus. The breakfast had a completely sufficient selection, a big plus was the long serving time of the breakfast (06:30 - 11:00).

The corridors of the hotel could use some updating, but it didn't really bother me. However, the slow wifi in our room was a negative factor. The only small elevator in the hotel was overloaded in the mornings and its waiting time was long.

-perfect location near the sea side and old town - excellent breakfast (worth paying for). The breakfast area on the 1st floor was clean and proper - we had a room with a sea view and balcony on the 6th floor, amazing view! Table and two chairs on the balcony were very appreciated - very good bed to sleep on; renewed and clean bathroom

- general run down looks of the floors 4-6 (looks like some kind of renovations have been done on lower floors..): paint stripping on door frames, old carpets , .. - our room (6th floor) had old walls desperately requiring renovation and extremely old wall- to-wall carpet crying to be changed

The Albert 1er is situated in an ideal spot in Nice’s old town. The beautiful Anglais Promenade is 1 min walk away. The hotel is also very conveniently located close to the tramway that connects from the airport as well as the train station (18 min) away which can be used to get to towns like Cannes and Antibes. You can even use the same train line to get to Monaco! Even though the hotel is undergoing some intense renovations, this did not impact us much. Staff were super friendly and gave good suggestions. Room was what we expected with a lovely view. Bathroom and shower was nice and our bed was comfortable. Overall we had a lovely stay in Nice and made some wonderful memories!

The only negative thing to mention about the room is that it seemed as if the aircon wasn’t working so we had to sleep with the windows/balcony doors open. This, in itself, is a lovely thought but as the hotel is located on a very busy street it caused for a noisy night. I would suggest management look into fixing airconditioning.

The location is PERFECT!! Right by the promenade of the beach, opposite a lovely little park with lush greenery (nice place to sit in the shade! You need shade here in August!!👍) The receptionist was absolutely charming, could not have helped more (offering to lug my VERY heavy suitcase up 3 flights of stairs in absence of porters (🙁) and the broken lift (😡) - I refused because she was TINY, but lived to regret it after 3 floors!!🤣🤣 Our room was room 310, a nice enough room, spotlessly clean, but with rather loud modern art stule wallpaper, made worse by 4 large clashing framed prints that shouted at you as you lay on the bed 🤣 (did not matter when asleep) THE BEDS!! Honestly the most confortable hotel beds I have ever slept on! And I’m SUPER fussy! Memory foam but not too hard, not too soft, just right! My 20 year old son agreed his bed was lovely too, and we bith had the BEST night’s sleep here! There was a little noise from live music/singer playing in the bMssena Plaza beautiful, HUGE and very impressive Massena Plaza (which is visible from room 310, literally about 100m to the right) but it was not loud or irritating, and stopped before we went to bed. FROM AIRPORT: CHECK OUT THE NEW T2 TEAM ROUTE! Just a few stops from the airport, drops you VERY close to the hotel (check route on map I provided, check their website for how to buy tickets.. €2 for ‘La Carte’, a physical card you load to pay for journeys which are currently €1.70 per person in one direction.. yiu get the €2 back if you return the card to any reseller👍 FROM NICE VILLE TRAIN STATION: Just 2 stops South on T1 team to PLACE MASSENA, only €1.70 per person, takes 9 minutes, then 3 minute walk to hotel on smooth flat terrain👍👍

The lift was broken 😫😫😫😫 Which meant that in the absence of porters, my son and I had our VERY heavy luggage up 3 flights of stairs!! The lovely receptionist was very apologetic, and so helpful (which is why I am giving the hotel a 10 despite the lift issue, she was amazing.. tiny blonde girl, wish I’d caught her name) BRILLIANT customer service makes ALL the difference ❤️(and back down because it was not working the next day when we checked out😱… but we did laugh about it. I needed the exercise🤣) I 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a BRILLIANT location, and a superb night’s sleep. Everything within arm’s reach. (But maybe ask for a room on 1st floor in case the lift is broken?🤣

Splendid location for both the Promenade de Anglais and the old town, just round the corner from Cours Saleya. We had room 301 with a seaview which was large and recently decorated. Giovanna on reception was very welcoming. Housekeeping was excellent

I was extremely upset that the day before we were to fly, I received an email from Booking.com stating that my credit card had been declined. No reason given! After spending much time phoning my bank and the credit card company, I was told that the card was working fine and was not blocked. They believed it had to be a problem with the hotel not having updated their security system. After lots of emails back and forth to the hotel, they eventually agreed to keep the reservation. They really need to do something about this. And a minor point in comparison, although tea and coffee were provided in the room, it was very poor that you were expected to drink this from paper cups
