Mercure Nice Promenade Des Anglais

The location is the best 5 min to the beach and so central there are lots of good restaurants and shops around The room was big enough for 2. I was worried about my money and phone because of the previous comments written here. But there is a safe in the room we locked our wallets before going to the beach. Other then that I was also worried about the moldy/ smelling carpet which was also written here as a comment but we stayed on the 3 rd floor and the carpet was clean and relatively new may be they made these conditions better I don’t know but I can share my own experience here and I can say the room was clean and comfortable. the guys at the reception was very friendly House keeping Stuff was also very friendly and helpful.

Our room ( which has a backyard view) didnt have a balcony and also we didn’t have a place to hang our wet swimsuits and towels. This was the only problem about the hotel. I don’t know how the rating for a hotel is done but I would say it is a 3 star hotel not 4 because of the basic equipment and facilities which were also ok but not 4 stars but 3

The hotel was excellent in a fantastic location and both my wife and I loved our holiday. The location is on the doorstep of the promenade and beach as well as within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The city train station is only 20 minute enjoyable walk. The bed was very comfortable and helped get great night sleeps 😀

The superior double with garden and sea views looked onto works at the side of the hotel. While the room was large, clean and comfortable it was a little tired and a small refurb to paint room and change the carpet would improve from good to excellent 👌

The location is absolutely perfect, we loved it and walked almost everywhere. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of healthy choices which was very important for us. The bed was also fantastic, large and comfy. The stuff was very helpful and polite.

some minor things. There were not enough electrical plugs in the room (for example next to the big mirror), and I couldn't plug in my hair iron, because it wasn't compatible with the plug in the bathroom. There was no wastebin in the toilet.

Every thing was GREAT

The location of the hotel is unbeatable. Just a few minutes walk to the closest public beach and to the many restaurants and life around the Carre d'Or area. Extra recognition for Paul at the reception. He was very quick to react to my needs as the bathtub/shower was clogging up. After checking the issue himself, he tried to get someone to repair it and when that didn't work out, he upgraded me to another room with a street view to the sea. Very much appreciated and well done Paul! Thank you for that! New room facing busy street but still quiet in the room thanks to double-glazed windows. Comfortable bed and quiet AC.

The facilities have come to their years, the carpets are not very clean, the bathtub shower was clogged up (thanks to Paul at the reception, I did receive an upgrade), in the upgraded room the cover to the doorkey scanner kept on falling off.

the location was great. The hotel is located just by the Promenade des Anglais, which us the heart of Nice. The staff was really helpful and friendly.

it was very, very loud every single day! I went to Nice to work online from the hotel, which was absolutely impossible to do due to works and events taking place next to the hotel since early morning. You can also feel that the best time of the hotel stayed in the past and it needs some renovation.

The location is perfect, right on the Promenade, adjacent to old Nice. We walked everywhere during our weekend stay. The room was comfortable, and the bed was bigger than I expected. Very comfortable sleep after walking all day.

No complaints really. I usually book a hotel with a lounge. There was no lounge in this particular hotel, but many lounge options nearby.

Location and quiet, spacious room.

When we checked in on Sunday, we were told we had to pay the full amount upfront which was fine but I explained to the lady with glasses at the reception that exchange rate was better on Monday, would it ok we to finalise it the next day since they have our credit card details anyway. she flatly refused and make up excuses that we couldn’t. We could tell the lad next to her was willing to help but was overpowered by her authority.

The location was excellent. The ocean was steps away and the restaurants were also steps away. We enjoyed this location because of its proximity to the hop on hop off bus and old town. The staff at the front desk were wonderful and helped us out with information about Nice as well as help resolving a problem with communicating with a tour issue. They went above and beyond for a positive outcome for the issue.

The facility is huge and there are many rooms overlooking the beach (Promenade des Anglais), which is an attraction with lots of touristic activities around.

Overall, I am satisfied with everything in the hotel. It actually exceeded my expectations, The only issue was construction, since they were renovating the roads downstairs, which can noisy.
