Hôtel Anne De Bretagne

We had a family room for 5 nights. Very good location but a little bit far from the touristic central places. Nice restaurants around, and good shopping centers. We preferred the no breakfast option. Many options are 1 minute around from french toast with homemade bread to croissants and coffee. Evenings are nice restaurants open but also options for various food types. When coming for minutes the car could be parked in front of the hotel. The garage has an elevator connected to the rooms and reception. Cleaning was OK but started too early sometimes and needed to postpone. The garage with limited places for 15E night. Supplementary, parking Colombier. Some reception staff is not English speaking, however, very friendly and try to find solutions by translating their words with google translate. Rennes is a nice city, worth visiting surroundings up to Mont Saint Michel and Saint Malo.

It was a little too expensive for a family room with 10 years child. The garage has limited places and last day we have to move our car to parking Colombier. The french style system with the toilet in a very small cabinet with no washing possibilities but to open other 2 doors to move in the bathroom where the sink is.

The check-in staff were extremely helpful, they were efficient, courtious and above all smiley. This make you as a guest feel welcome even as you walk through the door. When we returned to reception after checking in, we asked about local restaurants. The receptionist took the time to ask what type of food and ambiance we prefered before making reccomendations. Following her advice we went to a small local Bistro nearby called Chez Paul. It was an excellent choice and very close by. Well done for the reccomendation.

The only slight problem we had was access in the car park. Our car isn't massive being a family car but getting into the car park is tight. If you have a city car or a small family car it should'nt prove a problem. If you have a big 4x4 you will struggle.

Room was quiet and a good size with a large comfy bed. The breakfast is always excellent with plenty of choice, freshly squeezed orange juice etc etc The underground garage is a little tight but ok if your car has a steering wheel :)

For an overnight transit stay it is perfect for us and we will use it again. Its not a destination hotel so no gym, spa or swimming pool but its well situated in Rennes and walking distance to the nicer parts of the old town.

The location of the hotel was very convenient - only 10 minutes from the main train station and close to the city center as well. The room was large and it was nice to have a minibar/fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful, and very quick to respond to requests. The breakfast was varied and worth the price.

The hotel furniture and atmosphere is quite functional but lacks character, as does the immediate neighborhood around the hotel. This is not a problem, but if you are looking for a special or memorable hotel experience you should go elsewhere.

great location in the centre of Rennes

Whilst it has its own underground garage the entrance is down a steep slope with a 90 degree turn at the bottom to get through the door. I am a confident driver and my A4 estate did get through but a bigger car or less confident driver would really struggle.

Reception very friendly and nice rooms.

the moquette in the corridors: it is stained by cleaners bleach, it looks quite miserable and leaves a bad first impression. Thankfully rooms are very nice and clean. WiFi can be improved, sometimes was unusable

Very spacious room, huge bed which was very comfortable. Good facilities and staff were nice.

One of the lamps didn’t work. I felt a little pressured at check in to decide whether I wanted breakfast or not, even though there was a card to hang on the door before 3 am, with your choice.

The hotel was very good for a city break, just out of the center but within easy walking distance. The car park has a very tight entrance / exit and restricted parking bays, book this in advance. If you have a large car you may struggle to use the parking.

Having to pay 13 euros per day to park.

Fantastic location, staff very friendly and helpful, very clean and comfortable. Yes some marks on stairs carpet but overall place was very clean. Would recommend, stayed one night on way to Cherbourg. Very comfortable.

We stayed at the Anne de Bretagne en route to the South West of France. We arrived late and left early, but we were warmly welcomed and the rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean and exactly what we were looking for.
