Mercure Rennes Centre Place Bretagne

Breakfast was very good, however if you came at 9.30 the buffet would not be replenished. Staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Location was perfect, very close to the town. Bed was very comfortable.

The room was very small, the shower and basin were inside the bedroom which was a bit strange and the toilet was tiny. No conditioner and I didn’t have any shampoo so had to ask for it. Noisy outside as there was an outside dining area right opposite my room.

Wonderful friendly helpful staff. Lovely clean hotel. Good breakfast. Big room, very clean. Lovely touch of a free mini bar of soft drinks. Bed is very comfortable. Breakfast very well stocked and plenty variety, coffee was very good (which is very important with a baby! ) Perfect location to walking of everything, and numerous restaurants and shops!

Hotel is above a very popular bar, at the weekend its extremely noisy, ALL night, even on the top floor you can hear the music from the bar, and that's even when the music moves to the basement of the bar!! Cot provided for 1year old is far too small, more suitable for a new born to 6 month old!

Great location on the southern side of the old town which is stunning! Reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Didn’t have breakfast so couldn’t comment on the food. Room was good with all the usual bits provided, hairdryer, toiletries etc. It was also quiet despite being on the Main Street. Secure parking was a massive bonus as we had bikes on a rack and didn’t want to leave the car in the street. Found an amazing restaurant close by and generally had the best time wandering around the beautiful city without having to drive anywhere.

We had a couple of small problems which were immediately rectified so nothing to complain about.

We loved it just as much as last time. Super friendly, efficient staff, large, airy, comfy superior room with huge bathroom with space for wash bag and everything you need. Great breakfast and convenient location with parking. Will be visiting again for sure. Thank you to the Mercure for a brilliant stay!

We’d love it if there were boiled eggs available rather than a machine to make them, which was not switched on and missing its instructions. But this is a very tiny detail compared with all the great things about our stay…

This lovely place never disappoints. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and our room was large, airy and comfortable with a much bigger than average bathroom. Just a short walk to the centre and lots of bars and restaurants. There is a great, little organic wine bar opposite the car park. Another bonus! No need to fight for parking. A generous breakfast completed our excellent stay. If staying at the weekend, I would ask for a quiet room away from the pub next door.

Room was nice, clean. Complimentary drinks and a Nespresso machine were a nice touch. Nux bathroom products were lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was great just a short walk to centre

We had breakfast included but when we went down all the tables were already used and not cleared up and the buffet was not replenished so limited choice was available to us. They must have had a busy morning, it wasn't a huge issue but was the only issue.

Great location for visiting all Rennes sights. We were allocated a very spacious room which had kettle and coffee maker and mini bar with complimentary soft drinks. The hotel wasn’t busy; didn’t appear to be many other guests. There was a independent student’s bar below the hotel open until 1am which was noisy.

Appears to be a fairly new establishment and so all the amenities are up to date save for the quirky elevators! Location is quite central and very close to a lot of eateries. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Parking on site is very handy for those with car

Housekeeping needs to pay more attention to daily cleaning duties and not miss anything. On day 2 of our stay, bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned out and we very neatly ran out of shampoo and shower gel.

no English Channel on Tv but they had French and German. we did not have breakfast on the first morning as when we went into the breakfast room there has hardly anything left, so we didn’t bother to go in there the other mornings.

We always appreciate staying in this comfortable, friendly hotel within striking distance of lots of bars, restaurants and boutiques. The staff are excellent and do everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Huge, comfy bed and lovely, airy and air-conditioned room with soft dressing gowns and Nuxe products enhanced our stay and the breakfast was fresh, generous and varied. Thank you!
