Odalys City Rennes Lorgeril

On arrival the staff were super efficient with 24/7 check in. We arrived early and were able to park our car in the secure underground car park. The location is great, a leisurely shady stroll passing many cafes and bars before reaching the old city. On return the air-conditioning was most welcome in the extreme heat. We only stayed one night , but the rooms are well equipped for longer stays . Mini - kitchen area , clothes airer and best of all a retracting washing line in the shower . Really impressed - it was the most budget friendly of our tour and was the only one that ticked all the boxes

Can’t find fault

Comfy beds, bathrooms, kitchen equipment, the lobby. But top of the list the café MY across the road.

The hob did not work, and management did not fix it. The TV did not have. Netflix or Amazon as they had not yet been installed - so everything French. The phone to the concierge was faulty. The cab from the airport cost €20, but the one called by the concierge cost €27 for the return, with no traffic or hold-ups. There were no leaflets, decent maps, bus route maps, or information about how to pay for buses, where the tourist office was. Many leaflets that had nothing to do with Rennes.

The room and bathroom were spacious, there is ample storage space, two wardrobes and a safe (which is free to use) is in one wardrobe, there is even a hidden mini kitchen area. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was it has parking and for €10 it’s well worth it for peace of mind if you’ve got a car full of fishing gear, make sure you request parking when you book though. It’s in a great location, a nice bar called La Piste is at the end of the road but as you walk into the centre, which takes about 10 minutes, you pass many other cafes and bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night but you could definitely stay for longer.

Couldn’t see any faults

Room was different than the photo, offer the same material but nothing fancy , need to be painted ( stain and marks on the walls) - bathroom door to replace (not sure it was recent damage) to have to bring down my own bin to a container even for short stay. breakfast is too basic for the price

Excellent value. Great having a kitchen. Location was great - two Metro stops from bus and train station and easy walking to old Town which is a must see. Supermarket and laundromat close by. Room colours very relaxing.

I like a firm bed but found this to be a bit too hard. However this is the only negative of this stay.

Centrally located but when the window was open, neighbourhood restaurants were full and loud. It's high season so that was to be expected. Window closed, it was quiet.

Huge bathroom but small shower stall and the kitchen set up is a bit awkward (opening three doors to access mini fridge, kettle, microwave). I stayed only one night so no big deal.

We had some small concerns for the cleanness (we found some spots in the sheets, we changed room, and the new one had a dirty towel)

Overall, everything thing meet expectation. A few minor items of note, the hand wash and the shower gel dispenser in the bathroom were both empty and there was no spare toilet roll. Simply conveys a slight lack of attention to detail.

Overall very satisfied with our stay. Happily stay here again. Centrally located, easily accessible to the city and secure parking. Would be happy to recommend this accommodation.

This was a very convenient location, and I was glad there was still one parking space in the road outside. The receptionist was a little cool, but as I’d been to the hotel before I knew where to do shopping for food.

The bed! It was two single mattresses put together and I couldn’t close the gap between them.

Amenities, the room had all we needed .

I just can’t give the 5 stars because I had a 6 night stay and I was informed that I was not eligible to have my room cleaned during that period . This surprises me alot because that length of stay surely requires some cleaning services. And I was told that if I wanted my room to be cleaned I would need to pay an additional 30€ which is completely unnecessary .
