Hotel Indigo - Dusseldorf - Victoriaplatz, an IHG Hotel

Great room and breakfast with many choices.

Not all staff was knowledgeable about sauna opening hours and reservation procedure.

Hotel Indigo Dusseldorf is located at an excellent area, close to the old city of Dusseldorf (Altstadt), 2 stops away from Heinrich Heine Alee. There are several good options for lunch and dinner at a walking distance. I strongly recommend to choose this hotel.

We checked-in at 15:00 as mentioned through booking, but it would be a good option if the hotel can offer check-in before 15:00. I am recommending this because sometimes flights arriving Dusseldorf in the morning and it would be a useful benefit to visitors. It is just a recommendation and not a problem. In general it's an excellent hotel to stay!

Perfect location in the city centre with lots of amenities around, a very pleasant walk to the old town and right next to a private parking that we used to park our car. Extremely spacious room, very clean, the shower was fantastic, we had our own espresso machine with complimentary coffee that was replaced every day. First time I saw a hair drier in a hotel that was as good as the ones you have at home. The free Wi-Fi was very fast and served well all four of us. All in all extremely happy with the room and the service.

Not much to not like. Some USB sockets would be nice to charge our phones as we travelled from the UK and didn’t have enough adaptors and plugs. Also it’d be nice if we had breakfast included in the price as it wasn’t a cheap room.

Delicious breakfast. Although the hotel is a bit far from the old town (15 min walk), everything was easy to get nearby, including REWE, restaurants, cafe, and frozen yogurt. Highly recommended. The building was not brand-new, but the linen was clean and comfortable.

I could park my car in the parking lot next to the hotel. But, I am wondering if the discount (22 Euro) I got from the hotel is cheaper than the one that the parking lot provides for a daily maximum of 20 Euro. But, no problem. It didn't change my impression of the staying.

Location is nice: 10min walk from the embankment but the district is very quiet. Hotel design is also quite fancy.

The guy at the reception wasn’t friendly at all. He made a fuss about me coming with 2 kids though he didn’t see them in the booking confirmation. Something went wrong with booking.com system: I was booking a room for 4 on purpose but it turned out the confirmation had 2 adults only. So, instead of resolving the issue friendly and politely (the issue was that he had to ask a chamber maid to unfold a couch in the room - very difficult, obviously!), he was “teaching” me that I should have informed the hotel in advance and that there might be price implications.

Size of the well-equipped and clean room with sufficient storage space, including in the bathroom. Cleverly furnished with TV integrated in a shelf function. Nice design relating to decades of fashion - with enjoyable colour coding in the boutique hotel- style room. Relaxing location by a quiet street and room facing a green and quiet garden. Good breakfast and as a plus - seating area at breakfast in the green and quiet garden.

Nothing. Everything was to our full satisfaction.

Check inn went smooth, rooms were big and clean, beds were nice.

We had two rooms (4 persons each), one on the 4th and one on the 5th. On the 5th everything was good. On the 4th we experienced some problems with TV, which works on Wifi. Wifi was average, tried to watch the world cup quarter finals, but had to use my own iPad for that. Also the shower in that room was not really hot. I mentioned it, someone was going to take a look at it. I'm not sure if he came, cause we went out, but problem was not fixed. Besides that everything was fine.

We enjoyed the substantial breakfast and especially that it was from organic quality. I liked the possibility to lend several pillows, a hottie and curling iron or styling iron. I loved the equipment of the bed with two pillows and warm thick duvets instead of American bedding.

It would be nice if you could offer for brekfast the cream cheese and the butter also without packing and maybe also from local producers. The opportunity of having breakfast or not on different days would be fine.

Firstly, they put lovely little birthday decorations around the room, really cute thanks for that! Very nice breakfast options, the room was very comfortable and felt very modern. The bed was like sleeping on clouds, amazing... Even the bathroom had a radio and floor heating. Good location close to the center of the city and only a short walk to the big park nearby.

We were only here for 1 night! Will definitely book a longer stay for next time.

Balcony.. we seek hotels with balcony when and where possible… and this hotel provided a balcony among the best we have had so far !!

The mini bar was not working. Although the reception took note of it immediately and apologized for the inconvenience it is important that hotels of this caliber must monitor their rooms for such mishaps contineously. I am sure they will adress this situ asap, if not already doneneat so..!
