Konvin Hotel by Reykjavik Keflavik Airport

Although I only booked the hotel for its convenience in returning our car hire and the free shuttle to the airport at 5 am, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of our stay. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with a fresh and modern scent that made us feel right at home. The bathroom was equally impressive, with a large shower and an ample supply of hot water. Despite being an airport hotel, the room was not overbearingly hot, making for a very comfortable stay. The quality of the beds and linens was also exceptional, ensuring that we had a good night's sleep before our early departure. Unfortunately, we were not able to experience breakfast as we had to leave at 5 am, but I am sure it would have been wonderful. I do want to mention that I had to email the airport shuttle company separately to confirm arrangements, but everything was confirmed upon our arrival. This ensured a stress-free and easy transition to the airport, and we are grateful for the assistance provided. Overall, our stay at your airport hotel exceeded our expectations.

The drain in the washbasin did smell. Keeping the bathroom door closed sorted that problem.

The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful!! Incredibly comfortable bed, and plenty of pillows. We were only expecting a cold continental breakfast (4am start!!), but there was a selection of sweet treats (doughnuts, Waffles, etc) as well as bacon, Sausages, scrambled eggs and beans! We dined in the first night, and whereas the dinner menu was a little limited, it was beautiful. Coffee machine in the room with a selection of pods and more available in reception.

There are only 3 hangers on an open rail for a wardrobe meant for 4 people. Could've done with coat hangers/hooks on the back of the door, as well as more clothes storage. We stayed for 4 nights so I suppose it was a little unusual for an airport hotel. Only green tea, no 'regular' tea available, and no milk in the room. No conditioner in the shower, just an all-in-one hair & body wash. A safe and a fridge would've finished the room nicely.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a free early shuttle to the airport. Staff was very helpful and kind. We even saw the northern lights from the parking :-)

There is really nothing around, closest village is around 40min by walk.

it’s close to airport, has a nice interior, room was spacious, clean and comfortable, had the best shower in Iceland, had an on premise bistro with great food and nice service — good nightly room value for $234 USD relative to other places. Also had free shuttle (only available one way) back to airport which was about 5 miles away (which saved us about $31 USD, which is what we paid for taxi to take us to hotel from airport)

The room was beautiful, large and clean and decor of the room and hotel was gorgeous! Breakfast was great, loved the waffles and bacon! Loved that they had two happy hours at the two lounges. Loved the airport transfer bus, such a good service and on time!

The room was very warm even with the heater off, (very typical in Iceland!) And the receptionist did not do wake up calls (worried we would miss our 4am alarm for our flight!) and could not help with travel bookings. But all in all a fabulous stay. Would definitely recommend for an airport hotel!

Stayed in Konvin hotel twice - 3 nights and 2 nights with 2 children. The location is 10-15 min drive from the airport, not much to see around, but very handy if you plan to travel to Blue Lagoon :). The hotel provide shuttle from the hotel (not To ). Taxi price from the airport to the hotel was 4000ISK. Shuttle from the hotel to the airport is available from 4am, which was great. Breakfast was good variety and quality. We had a dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was great and pretty affordable (given overall high cost country). The staff in the restaurant were fantastic. Room was spacious, bathroom very clean, beds comfortable.

On the first arrival we had to stand for a good few minutes at the reception before getting acknowledged (it was three people there and we're family of 4 - can't get unnoticed :) ), no nod, no smile, nothing .. was a bit unexpected in the modern hospitality, but then they checked us in (still no smile nor a feeling that we're welcome :) ) a minor thing but leaves an impression .. Have to say, other than this "incident" the staff were very helpful and nice

Very convenient location if you have an early flight, as it is close to the international airport and the hotel offers a free shuttle bus service during the night. The hotel is very nice, the room is furnished with good taste and spacious and with all the needed amenities. The communication with the staff was very smooth, they helped out with suggestions for transport and dinner. There is nice dinner there as well.

The bathroom could've been cleaner for the standards of such a hotel. I found some dead flies. But otherwise, it was mostly clean. Would also be nice if the shower worked in handheld mode.

Beautiful location. I was stranded because of a rental car pickup failure and I checked into the hotel last minute. The staff was so kind to me even though I arrived very sad and exhausted. I was also kind, but I was just very sad and dejected. They went above and beyond to help make me feel at home. Staying at this hotel for the first night of the trip ended up being an amazing plan, and I ended up staying a whole other night! I especially loved the spa and sauna area. The sauna was extra hot and it was so refreshing to go in the morning before breakfast, as well as in the evening after a long day on the road.

I can’t say there’s anything I didn’t like. The hotel was expensive during the high travel season, and I wasn’t able to book earlier, as it was a last minute booking on Hotel Tonight. I liked the hotel so much that I ended up booking another night. I’ll make this hotel part of my travel plans in the future!

Big room, comfortable beds, big bathroom, clean. Good wifi. Free shuttle bus to airport from 4 AM (must be booked in advance). Good breakfast also served from 4 AM! OK restaurant. They also have a bar. Nespresso coffee maker in the room. Free parking outside the hotel. Good hotel for a stopover if you have an early flight.

The hotel is located in an industrial area and there is nothing to do or see within walking distance. Most people probably stay here because they have an early flight and for that it is great. Did not like that they had loud music going in the breakfast room at 4 AM (did ask to lower volume but the girl did not know how!).

Everyone at the front desk was super nice and friendly. The bedroom was perfect for my quick stay. The blackout curtains came in handy. The location was perfect for my intention, to be up early to catch a flight. It was very close to the airport and I'm glad I booked there. The prices were reasonable as well.

Honestly, not much. It was a bit weird that all the hotels looked the same and their was no outside signage that I'd normally see at other locations. It made me uncomfortable at first, making me question my stay before I went in. And the front bar and waiting area was not that inviting. But in the end, this was hardly a blip in the radar.
