Sanur House

Staff were responsive to our requests, including arranging transport to and from their premises. Breakfast was simple in choices but quite adequate, catering staff attentive. The bedroom was generously sized, bed comfortable and the bathroom was unusually large. The property is quite and very well located with a short walk to Jalan Danau Tamblingan, the main tourist thoroughfare in the area. Restaurants and convenience stores are readily accessible from Sanur House.

The pool is a little small and the number of sun beds limited. This will not be a problem unless a majority of guests want to use the pool area at the same time.

Santi who works there is so amazing!! She is so kind and helpful, she helped us with booked our boat to Nusa islands, she lent us the hotel scooter because a lot of rental places were sold out, arranged our laundry, she was amazing! I have stayed at this property before and that was the reason I came back, it’s brilliant, location is perfect, breakfast was lovely I had scrambled eggs on toast my fiancé had fresh fruit, and you get offered orange juice and or coffee. The doors to the rooms are so beautiful! The rooms are comfortable and clean, bathroom was huge! Free water and a fridge is a brilliant bonus.

Some of the towels given to us did have lots of stains on but smelt very clean so evidently the stains just won’t come out. This honestly didn’t bother us because I really feel after having no tourists for 2 years things like this require brushing over in my opinion. There isn’t going to be spare money to replace these items just yet and I feel these beautiful places deserve the breathing space to get back on their feet, so the only reason I am popping this in my review is to hopefully make people a little more lenient with this when scoring hotels and stays down for these reasons.

Excellent value for money, probably the best I have ever had in Bali, in a charming small hotel. Excellent water pressure a lovely pool area and walking distance to many restaurants, very close to the beach. The staff a super friendly and accommodation and the breakfast is a good standard and generous. The bedrooms are well decorated and comfortable with verandahs our courtyard but be aware that for every two rooms the outdoor areas ie decks or terraces are shared which suited me fine as I was travelling with my son and we had rooms nest to each other so shared the deck. The hotel is also dong its bit to be sustainable so no plastic so bring a drink bottle as you can refill it in your room from the water containers provided. Note, there is no mini fridge in your room.

I only stayed one night before catching my fast boat to Nusa Penida but it was good. They had mini fridge in room. They gave Togo breakfast which was delicious and even held my luggage while I went to islands. It is a little walk to main road.

Friendly staff, excellent hotel grounds, good breakfast. The hotel is located in a quiet location but close to all establishments.

the bed linen and towels were stained, although they smelled good. Maybe they're just old and need to be replaced.

So beautiful and peaceful in a sidestreet away from the tourism Road and noisy traffic. The kindest staff. Nice pool area. Good breakfast. We stayed in two rooms (a family of 5) for 7 nights. Highly recommended.

We loved staying here, the rooms were clean & comfortable & the gardens & pool were beautiful. Breakfast was lovely but nothing available in the restaurant for snacks, lunches or dinner. Excellent Staff, very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. A short stroll to the main road for plenty of nice restaurants & shopping.

The water pressure in the shower was terrible & loungers & chairs around the pool were hard. Not great for people with bad backs. A little too far from the beach with no direct cut through from main road. If you felt like staying around the pool for the day just relaxing you’d still have to go out for food as there is nothing but breakfast.

This place was a perfect place to stay in Sanur! It's in a little back street just behind the main drag and only about an 8 minute walk to Karang Beach where you can take awesome sunrise pics, if you're an early bird like me... I stayed in a room right down the back with its own little lounge area that you share with one other room... All the cottages looked gorgeous! And it was really quiet down the back... The hotel consists of hotel rooms that were 2 storeys high (about 10 of them one on top of the other), a few separate cottages, then 2 cottage like rooms down the back with the lounge area... The staff are fabulous! The room I stayed in was huge with a gorgeous bathroom with good water pressure... The breakfast buffet was the perfect amount of choice! I had Nasi goreng (egg cooked separately, sunnyside up) and fruit every morning and every single time. It was perfect! The pool was a great size too.

Not the hotels fault AT all, but there was a huge family staying there, and they barely left the hotel... They were always at the pool, so I only used the pool once, briefly... In what I think was a tiny time slot that they went out for dinner... Again, not the hotels fault, but the other guests and I staying there did discuss this issue...

The staff were amazing. So friendly and pleasant to deal with. The breakfast was delicious and offered great variety and ample portions. The location is away from main roads so is very quiet. Room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. Nice gardens and pool area. A short (5 min) walk takes you to restaurants, cafes and shopping. There are a couple of good sized supermarkets within a 10 min walk should you need to top up supplies. The beach is also about a 10 min walk with lots of places to eat and drink and participate in water based activities (kite surfing, jetski, swimming, surfing etc). We only stayed 3 nights, I wish it had been longer. Did I mention that the staff were amazing?

There was a rooster in a nearby property that liked to welcome the dawn each morning. But no problem getting back to sleep.
