Semarandana Bedrooms and Pool

This small property was operated by a dedicated team of young locals. They provided 24 hour reception and were at all times helpful, courteous and a pleasure to engage with.

The property exceeded our expectations and I have nothing to highlight in terms of areas to be improved. The cost was extremely fair, the support and service from staff was excellent and to draw attention to possible failings would be a level of pettiness to which I will not descend.

Staff were friendly, helpful, welcoming & very accommodating. Couldn't do enough for you! Carried our suitcases upstairs for us. Breakfast was included & good value. Luved my pancake - so soft & fluffy. Pool was clean, inviting and luved it. Provided swimming towels for our use. Staff let us put drinks in their locked fridge to cool them down. Safe on site for passports. Short walk to Sanur night markets & nearby shops.

The bed was king size which was great but we just found it too hard. AIr con & Fridge not cold enough. We asked staff & got to put out drinks in their fridge.

The apartment boasts a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for guests who enjoy cooking their own meals and seeking a home-like experience during their stay. The room exudes coziness, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration and relaxation. Guests can enjoy the amenities offered, including a nice swimming pool, ideal for unwinding and soaking up the tropical ambiance. Situated in Sanur, the apartment enjoys a prime location near a good beach suitable for swimming and conveniently close to supermarkets, offering easy access to essentials and recreational activities. The apartment provides reliable WiFi, ensuring guests can stay connected throughout their stay. The staff at the apartment are exceptionally helpful and friendly, providing attentive service and ensuring guests' needs are met.

One downside to note is that the breakfast provided may be too small and not up to par with guests' expectations in terms of quality.

Cozy little place in a quiet back alley off the main street. Close to an endless variety of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. Very nice staff, always someone there if you need anything. Clean little pool for refreshment, though too small to swim for adults, but the kids loved it. Guests are the typical mix in Sanur, some elderly Australians, some families. Not a party destination for the young and wild. Complimentary breakfast was good (limited choice as is standard on Bali). Rooms are cleaned daily and are generally tidy (just some of the typical smaller niggles like occasional stains on bedsheets or a lizard checking out your room; our room was not 100% mosquito proof, but nor a big issue in Sanur).

Major drawback: due to a huge construction site, the direct path to the beach is currently (as of July 2023) blocked and you have to take a 20 min hike along the busy main street to get to the beach, or try to sneak through one of the beachfront resorts. Definitely not the hotel‘s fault, but something to consider especially if you have younger kids. The whole place is rather narrow and doesnt get much sun, but it has a nice tropical garden vibe.

I stayed in a studio which was spacious with its own kitchenette. The breakfast each morning was just right, and the pool was refreshing after a hot day of walking with pool lounges. The property is off the main street of Sanur down a lane so lovely and quiet, but easily accessible to the great shopping and warungs in the area. Also not too far from Sindhu Market and the beach. The staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again.

There are some small items that would make this place a 10 and excellent and would be what I would do if it was my own: ensure client knows a 3% surcharge on Visa so other arrangements can be made ahead of time, put hard plastic clips on the bottom of the dining chairs inside the flats, bigger flat screen with Netflix that should be mounted at eye level for someone sitting on the sofa, a sofa that is all cushion and without any wood.

The location is very quiet and central. The staff is very friendly. Our Deluxe Room was spacious. The breakfast is as usual in Bali. We recommend the omelette! The shower with two shower heads and tap for the feet. The small pool was refreshing.

Although the bed is firm, it made a noise every time one of us turned. Pretty annoying. There's a kettle in the room but no cups! We decided not to bother so didn't ask, but if a kettle is advertised as a feature of the room cups are required.

We stayed in the standard room and it was very comfortable & clean for a 2 star hotel - very good value for the price you pay . The room was very clean and the bed/linen was good quality and comfortable & the aircon was working well and kept the room nice & cold . The staff were friendly throughout our stay . The accomodation is well located to nice restaurants/spas/clothing stores & a supermarket. It's also walking distance to the Sindhu night market if you want the street food experience & walking distance to Sindhu beach , where there is lots of nice restaurants and clothing stalls at the beach market .

The breakfast options are average but this is quite standard in Bali - I suggest you stick to the Indonesian food options like the fried rice/noodle for breakfast as the brekafast options with eggs are quite bland and don't expect the Western standard of breakfast .

Absolutely loved this place. We spent about 6 days here - loved the room, the pool, the staff, the breakfast, the location. Almost opposite is a dirt track that takes you to Sand Bar and you can access the beach so easy. Absolutely loved everything about this accomodation. There's books to read, pool towels, they are just really good and providing what you need. Would recommend visiting the turtle conservation, watching sunrise on the beach, walking along the beachfront path from one end to the other, going to Ocean Bar and playing some pool, and any of the restaurants- Sanur is cheap and great

Previously stayed here in 2017, 2018 and 2020. Now 2024. The location is quiet but close to the main street, beach, fruit market, night market etc Staff are wonderful!

Scissors and knives are now very blunt and don't cut properly. Need sharpened or replaced. Breakfast is very basic but at the price you pay it would be unreasonable to expect more.
