Hyatt Regency Bali

- the location is lovely - the staff were all very friendly and accommodating - comfy bed - room service was quick - Pizza is AMAZING

- overcrowded by the pool - very late check ins, 3pm was 5pm - Level 4 rooms are noisy! the exhaust fans on rooftop are obnoxiously loud. I had to complain and then got a ground floor room, which was quiet and peaceful and completely an over fix. Very kind of them to take my complaint seriously. It might not bother everyone though? - check out time is 12pm. they phone your room at 11.30 to hurry you up. seems a bit much esp considering they don’t check you in when you arrive at 3pm..

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It’s an old hotel but renovated well and as a result the gardens are mature and very beautiful. Rooms nicely done, great location on the beach, nice pools and a wonderful and hardly visited gym and spa with sauna etc. Staff were helpful and friendly. Other reviews mentioned bad pool service but they have rectified it with a flag system. We would definitely come back here.

Only one thing - management need to rectify the check in/out process. It is incredibly slow and there is no queuing system. Probably one of the worst I’ve experienced anywhere and does not make a great first impression. 4 desks is also not enough.

The hotel itself was fabulous! Well located near the town and beach. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were all so professional and friendly, customer service was exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble. Our favourite part was the Spa pool and area, it was quiet and so relaxing and the water was lovely and warm. There was also a relaxation room. There is a separate private area for men and women with a hot tub and plunge pool, sauna and steam room, which felt so exclusive as it was often empty. The hotel grounds were almost retreat like with beautiful trees, flowers and relaxing surroundings water. We had booked via a luxury escapes deal, which included- 6 nights in a large room, king bed, with a view of the gardens and beach. Breakfast, lunch and dinner , one off cocktail each, a 30 min spa treatment with 20% off on a booked treatment. And a one way hotel transfer , so was very good value for money . We had a choice of 2 restaurants. The food was delicious and both restaurants had a good selection of a choice of starter and main or main and dessert, and portion sizes were big even on starters. Smoothies and juices were all fresh. The kitchen in both restaurants were open and very visible so you could see the chefs at work. I would highly recommend this hotel it was almost perfect in every way. It was so relaxing, and staff were attentive but not intrusive. There is a great paved walkway along the beach so you can see the water , beach on one side and a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants on the other. Sanur is a lovely town , easy to walk around , safe, with some nice boutique shops. We found a couple of really nice massage places. The hotel spa was also nice and I had a fabulous foot massage and facial with a therapist. I was especially impressed with how eco friendly this hotel is. The slippers were bamboo , the Cotton pads and buds were in a paper envelope, the toothbrushes were also bamboo. The toilets had a eco system.

Some of the cushions and pillows on the pool side loungers were a bit mouldy. My husband complimentary treatment was with a junior therapist who left him in quite a bit of pain for several days. Breakfast was a little chaotic as it was difficult to see what was available as a lot was behind a counter or in a cupboard, which were all spread out . Some items were visible like the pastries, sauces, sausages, and bacon, which made them vulnerable to the flies, flying around. The tea was luke warm every day. A more structured flow through and good signage would have been good.

communal spaces were very good, gardens and pool especially. The room was a bit dated but you can see they’ve done that on purpose. A little WD40 on the doors would have been nice.

We had issues when we arrived that our payment wasn’t made, when I had paid booking.com. Sorted after showing my credit card payment on the app. Then told that we had no breakfast, asked them to add it on and paid a deposit, no problem. First 4 days I was told when I arrived for breakfast I hadn’t paid, explained, sat, ate and was then chased by the waitress on 4 consecutive days. Obviously I was annoyed but bit my tongue, on day 4 the wife had a stern word and explained the above again. No problem after that. On checking out, was told I hadn’t paid again, explained again, sorted. All in all frustrating that their admin wasn’t very good, room was okay, Pool, gardens, Pizzeria very good.

Beautiful and relaxing. Didn’t even leave the hotel area and extended my stay. Loved it.

Service at the beach should be improved. If someone came to even just walk by the chairs once in an hour or two, would be great.

everything .. it has luscious gardens and a beautiful patch of beach and great gym and spa and multiple pools. clean and well maintained and secure and a haven In the middle of sanur

there are a lot of children and babies and families in the pools so that can get really splashy and noisy all day so maybe one of the pools could be a dedicated adult pool ) as there is already a large shallow pool for children )

The room was spacious with a great view, breakfast was excellent. Beautiful surroundings, the staff was super friendly and kind.

The time of check-in, it was supposed to be after 15:00 and we can easily tolerate 30 to 60 minutes but one of our rooms was ready around 16:00 and the other at 20:00 and at 12:10 on the day on the check out they were calling impatiently. This is a huge hotel and walking so many times to the reception was not the best thing in my vacation.

Almost everything, it was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed. I actually was going to stay for 3 nights but I loved the hotel so much that I extended my staying to 1 week. I loved the view of the room, I loved balcony. Bed is comfortable, room is spacious, big wardrobe, great bathroom and shower. Hotel is surrounded by a lush gardens, locations of facilities (rooms, reception, pool, restaurants) and beach was easy to access. Staff is great and always helpful for anything. Sanur is a calm location compared to Kuta, Seminyak but there are lots of good restaurants and bars around the hotel. Breakfast is great, lunch and dinner is also quiet good.

If i must say something coctails could be better. And it is not about hotel but you should know that Sanur is very windy, ocean is very very shallow, it is not perfect for swimming if you are not a pool person but ocean/sea person.

Beautiful gardens, ponds and pools Sanur is much nicer than Kuta and Legian- clean beach that you can actually swim in and quiet shopping streets with a wide range of goods spacious restaurants at Hyatt especially pretty at night under banyan trees delicious breakfast. buffet and food stands

Beds were rather firm, no pillow tops sun lounges at a premium - but resort was almost at capacity

The staff were all so friendly, greeting us whenever we left the room. Cangkling by the pool was amazing, so friendly and accomodating. We were turned away from restaurant for drinks as it didn’t open until 11. Cangkling recognised us with our friends from previous day, sat us on sun lounges and organised drinks, he is a real credit to the Hyatt. Cangkling made our stay at exceptional, next time we stay in Sanur it will definitely be at the Hyatt again.
