everything was as promised. Villa is super clean and tidy, all the staff are happy and helpful and always keen to help you have free shuttle to downtown Ubud 3 times daily you get also free shuttle to a close big supermarket for daily needs area is very safe but not much around, you and the nature only. super relaxing. we also loved the free perks, we got free dinner and free half an hour massage with the booking which was amazing. the massage was super relaxing. Also huge huge shoutout to DIAN, our lovely host and friend, she took extremely good care of us throughout the whole visit and was always available for any needs we have, we had a small issue in our villa and straight away was offered to swap the villa is that's satisfactory to us and also goodwill from their end. she is really expert in customer service and very very helpful. we loved our stay in Upud so much and would totally recommend Griya Shanti

it would've been amazing if there was a way to heat the pool water as it was cold most of the time so we couldn't really use it as much as we wanted. 2nd is not really related to the property, but if you are staying in Ubud in griya shanti or similar property be prepared that as you will be surrounded by amazing nature that also comes with quite some insects and small flies around you.

It was a unique and great experience for us. The hotel is quiet and private, within a unique nature. From the first minute we arrived, the staff were fantastic, very helpful, polite, always smiling and caring. We had one free dinner and 30 minutes free massage as we stayed more than 3 nights and they were also great. It was my husband's birthday and I kindly asked them to provide a small cake and they bring the cake to our dinner as a surprise to him by singing happy birthday song which was lovely :) They were also helpful to arrange shuttle to Ubud center whenever we need. We will definitely be recommending the hotel and hope we will have a chance to stay there again. Thank you for a wonderful time and for taking such good care of us :)

There are not enough words to explain..... The villas were immaculate. Each room spacey clean and beautiful. The beds are so comfortable. Each bathroom was perfectly fitted out. The villa space had everything we needed. The pool was amazing to swim in and ample supply of pool towels The staff couldn't do enough for us. They helped arrange some tours and drivers as well as private yoga classes in the yoga space near the waterfall. The restaurant made delicious meals for breakfast and also for dinner. For me it was the perfect distance from Ubud and easily enough to get to.... if you ever felt the need to leave. Which wasn't often 😁😁 Thankyou again Griya Shanti for yet another amazing holiday (my second stay, and friends first) and I'm pretty sure we will all be back again

The only thing... is we couldn't stay longer... There was nothing any of us could fault.

The hospitality was so nice and the staff were amazing! Everyone made us feel very welcome. Thank you Bagus, Dian, Gusman, Cintya, Finna, Widi, Bella, Wayan and all the kitchen, cleaning, maintenance and massage ladies! The Villa was spacious with nice pool area. If we needed anything then it was sorted. The shuttle to Ubud centre was handy and worked well for visiting shops, restaurants, etc. Dome cafe down the road is worth a visit too, as has a lovely garden. Also Cafe Wayan and This Is Bali restaurant is a must do! The Quad-biking was fun for an activity in the area. We had a wonderful stay! We will miss you all…

Nothing. Any little things that were any problem were sorted and it didn’t bother us….

AMAZING place and people Santia & Dian in the reception and the girls in the restaurant, also, the massage girls (sorry for not mentioning all the names). Everybody there is super friendly and welcoming. They do their best to make you happy during the stay and they reply to every request so quickly. What is so special is the blessing tradition that they do when you arrive.. typical Hindu tradition that gets you feel the culture. Food is super delicious (we tried the breakfast & dinner) it just need some variety but all very tasty. It's not a buffet it's a set menu.

The location is a bit far with nothing around to do at night however it was the perfect stay for anniversary trip to enjoy the private pool, massage and dinner at night.

I can only speak in superlatives about this place. We loved it!😍 It was an island of tranquility and peace. And the staff...kind, helpful, charming, professional... The private sphere of our villa, the pool, the view, the garden were simply perfect. The three transfers a day are very useful, and a special thank you for the free massage. The kitchen was also divine, we ate great food. I didn't understand the breakfast system at first, but that was only because of my poor English. After that it cleared up and everything was clear. I definitely recommend this island of tranquility to everyone! We're glad we found them. ❤️ (I made some videos about the villa and posted them on YouTube with the name of villas.)

Pool is lovely with the jet steam to massage the legs. The steps down to the pool are a bit steep for elderly.

The tiles on the pavement are slippery after heavy rainfall. A long walk down the steep steps from villa to breakfast room. Breakfast standard is different every day. Fruit plate was smaller in size on the last 2 days. Packed breakfast for early departure had 2 boiled eggs and a small clementine.

Very friendly and service oriented service staff; daily cleaning; the villa with own pool is a dream; nice little restaurant with good selection of tasty local dishes for breakfast, lunch and diner; good coffee; car shuttle service to get to Ubud city and back; airport shuttle is provided; massage services are amazing; yoga training platform and training courses exist.

our trip started so well with Gusman picking us from the airport with a twinkle in his eyes and a hearty laugh. all the staff at Griya Shanti were exceptionally helpful and warm, making our stay so comfortable. a special shout out to Sintya, Widi and Ratna for going out of their way to bring us ginger tea when we fell sick and purchase our sarongs outside of their working hours. they made our trip truly memorable. thank you to Bella and Dian as well, we will be back!

The main host Putu and later vina were the best hosts. The staff was extremely hospitable, kind and welcoming. . The property itself is good. However it is the staff that has added value to the place. The food was delicious and we received one complimentary dinner which was delicious. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff who made our stay memorable.
