this is clearly a very old hotel that needs renovations. our rooms were clean every day and the AC works well. staff was very friendly and willing to help with anything. The staff is what make this place worth the stay.
not enough wash rags at this property. I know guests will leave with these from time to time but the company must keep replacing them. Wash rags are cheap.

Everything was great, the bed was really comfortable, they have kayak and stand up paddle for free and a lot of different places to swim.
ok, so I've been to other resorts in jamaica and the staff were much more pleasant and happy. It seemed like most of the people working there were not really happy about it, and it is kind of a bummer. My partner and I are always very polite and we tip when appropriate, but the service provided could be more warm and polite, especially in the restaurants.

The staff made every effort to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The food was good and the room was good too. The property is generally a good one, lots of space to move around.
The fact that I was not informed that there were two sections to the property and you only had access to the beach on the newer side of the property. I tried to switch to the newer side without success. Needless to say that the facilities on that side looks more upscale. So my suggestion is that it should be made clear from reservation that there are two options, so that people can choose which side they want to stay.

We loved the view and the fact that all rooms had a balcony with ocean view. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to meet every need/want we had!
Our room door seemed to not shut/lock all the way. The choices of alcohol were slim. Only one elevator was a little inconvenient if you were all the way on one end of the hotel.

Everything, away from the check in thing
Only one thing I didn't like me and my wife got there early and they told us we could only come in if we pay US$50, for early check in didn't want a early check in, I ask if we could just sit in the lobby till check in time, they told us no, only if we pay the US$50, because i know some hotels let you sit in the lobby till it's check in time without cost, and and it was our first time in montego bay, so our driver had to leave us at a little food place to wait out the time, we are planning to go back there, but i hope this change

Perfect location close to the airport and close to shopping on the Hip Strip. The food is good for the most part, but you can also find local places to eat. Overall, I love this place right on the beautiful beach. Ignore the bad reviews... That is people looking for 5 star resorts at motel prices.
