APA Hotel Higashi-Shinjuku Kabukicho Higashi

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. On the day we went to Lake Kawaguchi, our room was cleaned by staff. The next day since the room was still clean, we decided to place the magnet outside our door to indicate "NO CLEAN UP TODAY", we have left all our valuables in the room. When we came back we saw that our room was cleaned even though the sign was there not to clean our room. We were quite disturbed by this and have informed the staff at reception. They said sorry and that's it. Doesn't seem like a big deal to them that we told them we felt it's wrong to invade our privacy.

The breakfast was good though i did not eat it every day due to sleep schedule hindering it. Alot of convenience stores and good food nearby aswell as lively streets during the evening/night. Highly reccomend for anyone duing a solo travel, Not sure i would reccomend for family visit though since its really close to the party side of things.

The pillows were abit too thin for my taste and the bed abit too soft but other than that it was good. If you plan on visiting and you bring a laptop charger/adapter with 3 poles (Line, neutral, earth) then id highly suggest getting a different type since the hotel room only had 2 pole.

I thought the hotel room was what I paid for. Rooms were small, but clean with all the amenities you'd expect packed into a compact room. They have free English movies on demand but this wasn't so obvious to me until my last night. This branch doesn't have any facilities but the location is great, not far from Golden Gai or a train station. I walked to/ from the airport bus station in Shinjuku.

There was no DO NOT DISTURB Sign. My first morning I was woken by cleaning staff knocking on my door several times. I put the DO NOT MAKE MY ROOM sign up & they still called my room wanting to clean it. It disturbed my sleep when I did not want to be woken. I spoke to reception and told them to not have them disturb me for the rest of my stay, being woken 3 times was enough. Other than that, my stay was quiet. Hotel needs to provide you with clearer address details. There's another 4 APAs in the area & it's not obvious which one you've booked as the names are very similar.

APA Hotel in Japan is not perfect, and some guests have reported issues with room size and noise levels. Great location, just outside the lively Kabukicho. The room was a bit small but nothing to worry about if you travel alone. was very nice and comfortable, just don't forget to ask the staff to rent a normal pillow. a lot of electricity sockets, and mostly quiet (from time to time trucks playing music will go around the block but overall ok)

A safe in the room would've been helpful. also, there was a night or two when I didn't have hot water in the shower. While it wasn't an issue for me, do note you cannot control the A/C. also, be aware room service will go into your room once every 3 days to replace the sheets, even if you asked to do not disturb. however, this is very common in hotels in Japan.

The front-desk staff were fantastic! Our flight was delayed so we got in really late and we were still able to check-in without an issue. The room was small (very normal for Tokyo), but the room was laid out in a way that used the space wisely. We had a great view of the city and the huge window was a bonus. The hotel is close to a subway station, but it is easy enough to walk to the main Shinjuku area where you'll find tons or shops and restaurants. There are also a few convenience stores around the hotel, so you really do have everything you need here.

The bed was a little soft, so if you are used to a firmer bed this may be a problem.

Hotel was kept to a very high and clean standard and was in great walking distance of local train stations and businesses, the staff were very helpful and kind and the check in and out process was very straightforward

the only issue i had at this hotel was the TV, they offer a screen casting service that you can cast your smartphone to the TV to watch things like netflix and youtube, however the connection wasn't the greatest so it would usually be out of sync or just not work whatsoever.

location is perfect about 12 min walk to Shinjuku station or 3 min walk to higashi Shinjuku station , it’s non smoking hotel but there is 7-11 store a minute away which has a smoking area outside for people who really want to smoke like me. laundry is done on the same day (bit expensive). arcade place with baseball field (bit old) and planty of restaurants around.

Staff English they are doing their best was happy to see that but you will have to put an effort to reach what you want . rooms are a bit small but enough for solo traveler.

My stay at APA was good. The hotel's location was handy, making it easy to get to nearby attractions and transport. Even though the room was small, it was fine for just me and it had everything I needed for a comfy stay. The location was perfect for what I needed, and even though the room was small, the bed was comfy. Overall, APA was a good choice, and I'd stay there again next time I'm in the area.

Great location, close to Shinjuku station. Good facilities in the room. Very friendly stuff. If You are coming alone 11 m2 is ok, but as a couple hmmm definitely not. Amazing bed with great pillows .

Before You will choose for longer period think twice. Location is great for all public transport and this is the advantage, but you have to consider that is the one of the most crowded and noisy prefecture and at the night/evening You will hear sound of advertisements or ff , police or emergency ambulances. Interrupted sleeping. And honestly rooms should be clean more carefully.
