HOTEL & SPA J-MEX Shinjuku Kabukicho (Adult Only)

Location: 2 minutes walk from Higashi-Shinjuku station (Exit A); 10 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Memory Lane, Golden Gai; convenience stores & laundromats are just down the corner. We walked to Gyoen National Park, Yoyogi Park (in Harajuku). Price: Definitely great value for money (we paid just over AU$150/ night). Bathroom: Fitted with larger tub (whirlpool), shower, TV, mist steam room. Quiet: Didn’t hear anyone else despite the in-room karaoke. Attached phone charger with different outlets, so if you forget to bring your own phone charger, do not worry.

Slight cigarette smell on the corridor (but not in the room). Not much space for 2 x bags (luggage), but we managed to fit both (1 on the floor, 1 on the small couch).

everything! totally foreign experience to my husband and I travelling from Aus. the location is amazing super close to everything and on the main train line. spa bath, sauna, sitting area in room karaoke, sooooo many amenities. slept like a baby, didn’t hear anyone else’s karaoke. super spacious. would 100% stay again.

nothing for us. In the hallway to our room from the lift we could smell cigarette smoke occasionally but it didn’t bother us. the love hotel aspect may put some people off and I was concerned prior to arrival but we loved it.

I stayed here for the amenities - sauna, jacuzzi, I have spent hundreds more in the US for fewer amenities. It was like having my own spa after long days of walking and shopping. The service was excellent! I thought it would be inconvenient for me to drop off my key every time I left the hotel but the reception was always ready for me. You can order snacks off the tv and they can deliver chinese food to your room for 24 hrs. there’s even karaoke in the room. they seemed to think of everything that you would need in the room in terms of chargers, skincare and hygiene products. I rented a refa facial massager and now I want to buy one! I was even gifted an umbrella when it was raining out. I prefer dark and quiet rooms to sleep and this fit the bill. I should’ve stayed longer! Honestly, don’t let the love hotel concept deter you from staying here, think of it as self care!

Loved the bathtub, tv, and bathroom. Very comfortable and relaxing.

There was a hint of smoke in the lobby.

I love the fact that it had everything we needed - comfy place to sleep, movies we can watch, a sauna (didn’t think we would need this), a really big bathtub with TV, and KARAOKE! It’s a love hotel but it’s actually a lot better than any other business hotels we’ve stayed at. You can also rent out different items for free like a Dyson blower, hair curler, massagers, even beauty face rollers! They also gave us aroma and alcohol sprays upon checking in. Our room was pretty clean too! Will definitely come back. 🙂

What a cool room! Large by Tokyo standards the room has a private jacuzzi, sauna, and karaoke machine. I also liked that the toilet was in a completely separate room away from the jacuzzi and shower. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location in Shinjuku is fun and wild! This is a love hotel, so guests should be aware of that before booking but if you have an open mind it's a lot of fun!

Small elevator and you were asked to leave your key with the front desk whenever you left the hotel which I never like.

Good location,close to main Shinjuku area . Provided amenities in the room and welcome gifts were a nice surprise. They really think about everything,down to contact lense solution to hair clip .

Even though the room itself is big in square footage, it feel a bit cramped since so much is going on there . The light from massage chair is so bright ( and you can turn it off )we had to cover it with clothes during the night

The spa, sauna, karaoke, mini-bar were all wonderful, as were the other in-room amenities. There was a great welcome pack with local information waiting for us on the coffee table. Also, the free breakfast on weekdays was a nice surprise. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The price. It was significantly more than most of the other love hotels in the same area. They're not listed on booking.com and it might not be possible to more than one night at a time but I still fell it was too expensive.

Great hotel. Very well located in Shinjuku - easily access to transportation as well. Welcome gift was a very nice surprise. Karaoke worked really well and it was very fun! The bathroom was amazing - sauna + huge bath with TV to watch. Also, lots of amenities which was great! I would go back !!

Constant buzzing of the fan in the room could be annoying if you’re a light sleeper
