The Prestige Hotel Penang

I don't know where to start. From the time we arrived we were welcomed with the Malaysian hospitality. The manager Giri and his staff are very attentive, obliging and very knowledgeable. The check in was flawless, and we were guided to our room by one of lovely staff members. The hotel is on the newer side and is maintained very well unlike some other hotels in Penang... Our loft room was on the top floor and the design of the room was different to normal hotels. Upon entering the room the Gold and glass trimmings were absolutely beautiful. This is a 2 storey room, the shower is absolutely gorgeous, the experience is next to nothing. There is a lounge, TV area also with a small window overlooking the side street. The stair case takes you to the loft where there is a super king comfortable bed for you to rest up in. Everything is spotless, smells fresh, whitest of linen and towels. Our room stay was very comfortable. The pool is on the top floor also with the gym. The pool is something to be seen. I spent most of my time there enjoying the salt water swims, relaxing and taking in the warm Malaysian sun not forgetting to mention the awesome view from the pool deck. Don't forget to experience the sunrise on the pool deck its amazing. The hotel is in a fabulous area within the Unesco Heritage listed precinct. Take a walk and discover little hip cafes, bakeries,..traditional kopitiams, and hundreds of other little eateries. We loved Little India which was a stones throw away where we could enjoy fresh cooked meals for a small price. Armenian Street, clan jetties and lots more in the area for you to discover. The hotel also has a number of restaurants and cafes for you to relax and cool off in. Enjoy and I would highly recommend this hotel above others in the area. The room was a little small. Next time will book a executive room with the bed on the same level. The temperature of the room was adjustable however it took a little fiddling to find a comfortable range. The pool should have attendants handing out cold water and customers should be able to order food and drinks at the poolside.

Location, location, location and its bright elevated carpark within the hotel complex. Parking was complimentary for the duration of our stay.

Nothing to dislike at all. My family and I enjoyed our stay tremendously.

The Prestige, an amazing Penang Experience! Heard much about this hotel, based in Penang, close to Little India! Don’t let the location/surrounds fool you! This is an amazing property that deserves much attention! From Front Office, Check In, to overall service, the suites are superb, attention to detail remarkable! Led by Hotel GM Melvin Ooi, this property is small enough to consider it Boutique, Big enough to compete with the big boys! Only 5 stories but they have it in them! The well appointed rooms are very comfortable and have everything one needs for a 4-5 days stay! Fully Non Smoking its drive also towards the environment can only be commended! Although only One Restaurant, the glasshouse, it has everything for breakfast that one needs to feel completely fulfilled, although try to avoid the peak period, it can get a bit cramped, but for the early riser it has everything a heart desires! What stood out was the amazingly attentive Service Crew! Couldn’t ask for more! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and are likely to come back again!

Fabulous location and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Loved the hotel, but it is looking a little tired. Good breakfast choices, too. I would suggest downloading the Grab app for convenience of travel as it can be tricky navigating your way around the island, and taxis are costly. If you are there for more than three days, buy a sim card...very cheap. Chew jetty and New Lane and Little India great places for street food. Eat to your hearts content for under $10. Penang is my new fave.

The bed was too hard for our liking, and the bathroom cleanliness was probably a 7 out of 10. But hey, we can all get picky.

We had a loft room which has a spacious bedroom upstairs. Downstairs are the bathroom and lounge area. TVs in both areas. The bathroom area was very good - excellent water pressure, fluffy towels, good amenities, large shower stall, good mirror with excellent lighting. Small lounge was comfortable and with good table space. Plenty fo useful power outlets. The swimming pool area was compact but well located. A small uniform depth pool with good quality sunbeds and plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Good location - away from noisy areas but good cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel hosted a great Lion Dance for CNY>

We could have used some drawers in the room to store clothes. We couldn't cast content onto the smart TV which was disappointing.

Very clean hotel. Great amenities, rooms were very spacious and the shower is amazing!

Not very many Sun loungers at the pool.

The hotel is situated within walking distance of the important sites of Georgetown.

The rooms were not very well sound insulated, so we could hear not just people in the corridor, but guests using their room facilities. On top of this, the hotel adds a background music in the hallways that can be heard all night from the room - they might want to get rid of this.

The hotel is excellent. Very clean and spacious room, friendly staff, mattress and pillows are just right to my preference. Buffet breakfast at The Glasshouse was delicious, nice spread. We also enjoyed the salt water infinity pool overlooking the amazing view of the sea in the morning. Wonderful experience!

Would be good to have a wash basin to wash hands at the toilet, for hygiene purpose. I requested for 3 adults but was given a kid’s size bathrobe and kids bedroom slippers which my 20-yr old daughter could not wear but this is not really a big issue, would just like to feedback.

My recent stay at the The Perstige Hotel was absolutely outstanding. The hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to attractions. The room was stunning, clean, and comfortable. The staff provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to meet my needs. The amenities, including the infinity pool was ideal place to go to after a long day of walk. The hotel's commitment to sustainability was commendable. I highly recommend The Prestige Hotel for a luxurious and memorable experience. I would definitely go again with my family.

Rooms were very well sized (plenty of space to lay out multiple open suitcases. Price was also very reasonable given how spacious, modern and clean the rooms are. Service and reception staff were also friendly and helpful from our interactions. The room comes with complimentary snacks and drinks offered in the room, which are topped up as part of the daily room clean service. The pool also has amazing views albeit a little on the small side.

Location was a bit further from the main streets and key sites, however still within walkable distance.
