HOLM Boutique & SPA - IK Collection

The rooms are really interesting. Our family had three rooms. All three rooms were decorated differently and they all were very interesting.

The only thing I did not like is that the pool works only until 3pm for kids. This was a disappointment, because we wanted to spend one hour in the pool with my kids after long day exploring the island. Also this restriction was not noted anywhere why we were booking and checking in.

Everything!! Room was lovely, and the staff were very friendly. We were on the top floor right next to the pool. The breakfast was amazing, as was the pool. It was small, but my daughter and I loved splashing around in it all day. The location of the hotel is down a small narrow road, so if you order a taxi, walk to the main road otherwise they will leave (oops). We had a lovely few days at this hotel and should I go to Malta again, I would definitely stay here.

When I booked the hotel, it was not made clear that you had to pay to use the pool downstairs. We were a little disappointed at this, as this was one of the reasons I booked the hotel (indoor pool - so if it got a bit much outside, we could still swim inside). It would have cost 35Euro per person, which is quite a lot. So we did not bother. Might be advisable to make this a little clearer on booking.com.

The staff were amazing, they went the extra mile to make us feel pampered and they answered promptly to any question and request. The jacuzzi is big and very well kept, breakfast was abundant, even though not the very best I had in Malta. The design of the room is quirky and unusual, the bed is absolutely fantastic: top mattress and topper.

Cleanliness was not 4 star hotel standard: the cover of the jacuzzi was dusty and dirty and you could see on the lamps many fingerprints. By taking a shower you flood the entire bathroom, making it super slippery. We had noisy neighbours, listening to music and thus ruining the relaxed atmosphere we were looking for, not what you expect when you book at a boutique hotel. However, I must say that the staff immediately asked them to turn the music down when we complained.

the hotel is located in a very good place: there are restaurants nearby, a beautiful view of the sea, and bus stops. together with a group of friends we stayed for 7 days and every day we could count on friendly service at the reception, at breakfast and room service. The room was cleaned every day, towels changed, provided fresh water and coffee. We also got popcorn on the last day :) Particularly noteworthy is the extremely polite employee Mr. Lalit, who served us delicious coffee every morning and took care of our well-being. Thank you for organizing the birthday party, it was our pleasure to stayed at your hotel. P.S hotel has 2 swimming pools and a jacuzzi available to all residents.

Hotel was lovely, room was designed in a fun and quirky way. Bed was big and comfy. I was lucky to have 2 balcony's in the room, which would have been perfect in summer to sit and have a coffee or drink. There was a giant sofa in the room too which was nice (I think it converted to a sofa bed if there was more people). Lots of lighting in the room that allowed you to adjust the atmosphere to what you want. Ordering room service was quick and easy and staff were very helpful. Outdoor pool area would be lovely for summer although a bit too chilly to use an unheated pool in December which was a shame. But the indoor pool was nice. I didn't use it but the spa area looked amazing when I went to the indoor pool. Lots of different rooms and calm and peaceful.

extraordinary hotel in St. Julians, beach and restaurants in walking distance; hotel is a bit hidden in a dead-end road, quiet place continental breakfast buffet offering a lot - cold and warm food, eggs,. beans, pastries, muesli, fruit, coffee is freshly brewed and served dinner / food during the day is available, but we didn't eat there pool on the roof is quite small, but with a nice view, the spa downstairs we didn't visit

some guests were quite noisy during the night, making party in the rooms or coming home during the night transport to the airport organized by the hotel was not convenient - the car was too small for our suitcases - we had one large suitcase on our laps during the lift (although I had mentioned for large suitcases and 4 people) the garage is "first come - first serve" - when there's no space available inside (and there are less parking lots than rooms) it's not easy to park nearby

Room was gorgeous, I'm sure they upgraded us (even though they didnt say so!) We had a lovely welcome drink on arrival too. Breakfast was plentiful and changed slightly each day. Lots of choice, and staff very attentive bringing coffees etc. Location was great, car park was a great bonus as we hired a car. Super easy check-in and check-out. We were even allowed to use the spa shower facilities to change before our flight home which was ideal! We were only there a few days so didnt actually use the spa as we were exploring, but it looked incredible!! And great value for money. We got engaged on this trip and hoping to get married in Malta - so we will definately be recommending our family to stay!!

The wifi wasn't very good in our room. Also one night, the wifi light on the ceiling was flashing all night. Nothing they could do about it until morning but a little annoying. We were also around the corner from reception/breakfast room so it was a little noisy when we were still in bed - it would be great if the door that sectioned off the ground floor rooms/toilets and reception would automatically close in case someone left it open

Breakfast is nice and can find a nice variety of food for all ages. Could turn busy in peak hours. Seems that rooms has themes, ours was nice and in the afternoon we got a small surprise matching the theme of the room which we really admired. Location is in a quite yet central area not far from the corniche. Could be difficult to move around with the car in busy hours. Staff was amazing and so the facilities where you can book a one or couple massage carried out by professionals.

spa facilities lockers were not working and spa at times got very noisy but this depends on the type of crowd at that particular day and time.

Staff very friendly and always very helpful. Breakfast was a good selection and plenty. Rooms clean and a nice touch leaving bottles of water every day.

Our room 4428 was lovely although not great if you have noisy neighbours in the only other room on top floor which we did! Sun-beds have seen better days and a lot are broken. Pool is lovely and perfect for a spa hotel although I wouldn't allow inflatables as it's not big enough. One family had 3 and it takes up the pool.

Despite the unfortunate presence of a large number of ants that were observed to be crawling throughout the room, the hotel staff were promptly notified and effectively resolved the issue to my satisfaction by taking appropriate measures to clean and sanitize the area.
