Hostel Malti Budget

The hostel is perfect for you if you want to have a peaceful and relaxing time. It’s quiet, placed in a calm area, not next to the busy streets. What I loved the most was a wonderful balcony on the rooftop - you can sit there for hours reading your books, making some notes or just enjoying the view. For me also important was the kitchen - fool of tools and space for preparing your own food. Everything was clean and ready to use all the time. Guys from the staff are very helpful and friendly. They gave me some advice where to go, what to. We even played some music together hahah!

I liked everything; the colors, the style, the availability of the staff, the comfort of the bed, the amazing rooftop (I’ve never tried it but, there’s a jacuzzi in it!!) The kitchen is perfect and full of the every tool you need and there’s even a living room where you can talk with the other guests The staff really helped me in this hard and amazing trip; every time I had an answer or a request they always respond and gave me some advice; they even helped me getting understood and tried to teach me another language (thank you so much Neil!)

Nothing, it was perfect, my large spaces have suffered a bit, but when you have to share bedroom and bathroom you get used to it Probably it’s a little far from the center of nightlife but it depends on what kind of holiday you do want to spend

The toilet and shower were sometimes dirty and alcohol was allowed in the hostel. On the dates of my visit, some guests came not to relax in Malta but to drink alcohol in the hostel around the clock, this stressed me out and I felt unsafe because one drunk man tried to get to know me again and again and another drunk man mixed up the rooms and entered the room when I was there alone after a shower in a towel and I got scared (it’s good that everything was fine and he left and continued to look for his room)

I was amazed with the work of the administrators. It is definitely the best organised place I've ever visited. 1. The administrators sent me the letter where they pointed that at the time of my arrival, they would not be at reception and the door would be closed. However, they also send the code for the door and left my keys at reception desk in the envelope with my name on it. So I easily accessed my room. The room was a room for 2. In the envelope I also had Wi-Fi password and some instructions. 2. They provide beach towels and socket adapters. 3. The kitchen is very tiny but welcoming. 4. The place is very quiet. 5. The administrators kindly organised an excursion for us. 6. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was very comfortable. The bed was super cozy. 7. Public transport is accesible to any place and the bus stop is 7 min away from the hostel.

It would be great to have separate beds in the room. I travelled with my mum so we had to put the blanket in between because my mum snores and I like to kick with my legs when I sleep :))) I would also renew the kitchen to make it more spacious and bright.

I had such a great time here. The hostel is in a quiet part of St. Julian's, at a short walk from the harbour and right next to Paceville, where there's a vibrant city scene. The dorms are basic but safe, there are several bathrooms and there's a rooftop terrace and jacuzzi. Kash and Neil create a family feel, making this hostel an excellent place to meet other travelers. Kash is an amateur DJ and insists you call him Mastercard. Will definitely come back!

Curtains around the bed was pretty nice, because it made private space possible if needed. Also the location was good, not too central, not too far away, which meant that there weren’t annoying noises from the street but still good options. I loved the staff, they were welcoming and interacted with all the travelers

The lights in the dorm and the toilets turned off automatically after 5 minutes

Great location, everything was very clean – cleaned twice a day, and the team was very kind, talkative and helpful. They were making sure I'm alright and giving me a lot of good and useful information and tips about what to do in Malta and how to reach those places. Also the other guests were very friendly and communicative leading to interesting conversations and contacts.

The room was super clean and smelled nice. The room had nice modern design. My room window was directed to a small alley, so at night it was really quit. I received very informative message with all the stuff I needed to know before the stay. Staff was nice and polite. I didn't have time to socialize/party with other guests in the hostel, but it was just added bonus to have this opportunity if I stayed longer.

The staff is very nice and friendly. All the common areas are frequently cleaned. I used the jacuzzi and it is very nice despite the cold weather, the jacuzzi water was warm. My bed has a curtain for more privacy, and the toilets and showers are fine too. Special mention to Harvei, he gave me so many advices about tours and tips to know the island. Thank you guys , I will back.

Great place, facilities and staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace is also an attractive feature. Check ins after hours are straightforward.

Air conditioning is unhealthy and I succumbed to sickness after a couple days. I normally don't get sick. Request high temp (21°c +) or preferably off if you care about your health. The dilemma for staff is they have to live up to guest's expectations.
