Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa

I had a fantastic stay at the Marriott Hotel & Spa in St. Julian's. I've lived in Malta for a few years now, but - especially for guests visiting the island for the 1st time - the central location is perfect; making access to both the beach and local shops or sightseeing spots a breeze. My room had an absolutely stunning seaside view that was quite calming day & night. The bed was super comfy (great mattress!), the room spacious, and the amenities top notch. I'm a room service gal, and the food was great (both in selection and in quality). It was always very quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. I'd highly recommend the Spa for anyone considering. I received a Microdermabrasion Facial with Ola, and both she and the procedure were exceptional. My skin looked and felt smooth as glass afterwards, and I've already booked a 2nd follow-up with her next month! Ola was not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled as a professional; she was also a lovely and kind person who made the experience one I thoroughly enjoyed. Lastly, the pool was great! Very beautifully set up, and a great place to either get some exercise &/or just chill out. It's open from 7am to 9pm (I believe) - so, it was easy to get a daily dip. I didn't use the gym, so I can't review it, but there is one adjacent to the pool (for anyone interested). There is also a Hair Salon available, but I didn't get any opportunity to visit. However, I'd imagine it's top rate, given the caliber of the Spa and Hotel in all other capacities. 5/5! Couldn't recommend the Marriott/Spa St. Julian's emphatically enough! Thank you for such a relaxing and comfortable stay!

• M club on 13th floor was great, my partner spent time working there during the day • Staff was responsive in Marriott app when we made requests several times • Location was great, in a more laid back area, but with beach access and restaurants and within walking distance to busy st Julian area • Had glutten free options at breakfast on request and glutten free option for pasta and bread at reataurant

The room size advertised includes the 2 large balconies we had in our Suite, so the actual room was smaller than we expected. The free wifi was adequate, but we had issues with constant disconnection on several occasions

Very nice location,exceptional clean rooms, super helpful staff. Management was always present, engaging with guests. Very friendly approach. Special thanks to Fahri the manager of Breakfast salle. Exceptional service.

The limited hours for kids in the indoor swimming pool. Since hotel is family friendly, they should not limit our access to the swimming pool. Also, the Hotel promoted hop on - hop off buses "I see Malta". The worst service ever, had us waiting 2 hours for our return ride.

Exceptional service throughout our stay. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful for the duration and were amazing with kids. Olga at front of house was incredibly helpful and was fantastic at ensuring our daughter had the best time possible. Fehmi the restaurant manager was also extremely attentive and friendly, with an exceptional team underneath. Superb breakfast with an awesome omlette station, fresh fruit, hams & cheeses and some english breakfast style counters. Location of the hotel is perfect with the beach a 30 second walk. A lovely square next to the hotel with some great bakeries/cafe's. Plenty of off site dining options within a 5-10 minute walk, Fresco's and Piccolo Padre were our favourites. Parking is available free of charge at the hotel with spaces always available. The outdoor pool on the 12th floor is the perfect sun trap. The spa facilities are great and the gym is extensive. The indoor pool is also great. Sea view was as good as it gets, lovely to wake up in the morning and have coffee on the balcony with such an incredible vista. The hotel literally feels brand new, the staff are second to none and the location is perfect. We would never stay anywhere else in Malta. Can't wait to go back.

We had a Superior Room which was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely selection of items at breakfast and super quality. Staff really friendly and although they couldn't possibly know names as a smaller hotel would, we were recognised over the stay and they still made the effort to visit the table at breakfast most days and check how your stay was going. Service all very prompt. Location is fabulous - directly on Balluta Bay and just seconds from bus stops, restaurants, cafes, an excellent dive centre, small beach, bank and pharmacies and is easy to get everywhere you might want to go. It's nicely busy in the evening but certainly not clubby or noisy for those that need to know! The rooftop pool is pretty small and was busy with children so we sometimes used the peaceful indoor pool, which in the afternoons is adults-only with sauna/steam room etc. We didn't realise until later that they have a much larger outside pool just across the street (signs are by the check-in/Concierge desk) but I think this is new. All in all a really excellent stay - I wouldn't normally stay in a large hotel but we would stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

This is only being very picky, but as the loo is separate to the main bathroom, a small sink for handwashing in the toilet area would be beneficial and more hygienic for guests. Rooms were expensive, but we did book quite late and in August!

As the hotel has had a recent refurbishment it is modern, spacious with attractive and new decor. It is very well located in the centre of St Julian’s. It is clean and the staff were very receptive to our needs. I would definitely recommend it.

The indoor pool is small and the rooftop pool is not large but there is a nice beach area just in front of the hotel The restaurant food was adequate but will hopefully improve with the lifting of lockdown

My wife and I stayed at the hotel in late November. The hotel is in a great location above Balluta Bay with plenty of excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance. Sliema harbour is approx 15 mins walk away with regular ferries to Valletta - a beautiful city. The views from Tigné Point across the harbour are stunning. We stayed in a deluxe sea view room with king bed and balcony on the 5th floor which had 135 degree view of the sea and harbour. My wife loved it! We had the option of swapping to a room on the 10th floor which had 180 degree views but we were more than happy with what we already had. The hotel has had a top to bottom refurbishment in the last couple of years and everything is of very high quality and is very well maintained. The gym is well equipped with an extensive range of cardio and resistance machines and free weights. The outdoor pool on the 12th floor was open but the pool bar was closed as it was out of season. I can imagine it would be a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. The breakfast was a buffet style with a good selection of cereals, meats, cheeses, fruits and desserts as well as hot foods. Throughout our stay the hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. In particular Fehmi at breakfast and Marta in the restaurant were exceptional. The hotel manager regularly walked the floor and engaged with guests which we thought was a great touch. Overall a superb stay!

The WIFI is free but you have to access it via a Marriott portal where you are given options for other paid services. We sometimes had problems getting our devices to connect to the Marriott portal; sometimes it would load, other times not. We got most consistency by accessing via the routers IP address.

Love this hotel. Not the first time there. The place, the sea view, the room, the food, free parking, nice reception staff - everything was perfect. Spa is also is one of my favorite in Malta.

Just some things to improve. 1. Was trying to call for room service or restaurant for 2 hours - there was no result so had to leave without breakfast. 2. Went to SPA for massage. First they offered me the room 2 meters long, cold as a cellar and very old. Asked to change it and another was really good!

This was my second stay at the Marriott hotel in Malta and honestly it was so hilarious. I rent a car and even though one of the employees described how to get to the garage I couldn‘t find it. I went to the reception and asked how to get there again, as I didn‘t know what I did wrong 😄. The receptionist was so kind he took the car and drove it to the garage. We celebrated my brother‘s birthday and received the cake and wine as requested. Since that was not enough we got an upgrade as well. Dear Marriott team thank you sooo much for making our stay so wonderful! This was for sure not my last visit!

Great location with buses outside to all the main attractions. Also within walking distance to all main food and shopping locations. Lovely room with a sea view and balcony. The room and lift key card system made it really secure as you cannot access the rooms or pool area without your room card. Staff very helpful and attentive with advice available on transport, attractions etc. Hotel decor and ambience excellent, really high standard after the refurbishment. Breakfast offer was exceptional and catered for all dietary requirements. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely return to the hotel again if visiting Malta.
