Hotel- en Restaurant Kasteel Elsloo

The surroundings and location are awesome. The terrace is amazing and really pleasant to have dinner or a glass of wine. The wines offer is really good. Nice Free Parking space with shadow. The waiters in the terrace were really nice and courteous. The hotel is very cozy and my expectations were fully fulfilled and I will repeat it for sure.

The hotel was very busy the second day, and many guests were very loud, despite the fact this is not a problem coming from the hotel , the type of accommodation should have some rules about the noise and respect to the others. Due to the crowdie, the breakfast stuff was over ( pastries, salmon) and also I have missed a piece of fruit, hot milk and a toaster for the bread. The parking should be only available for clients of the hotel and restaurant, but also outside trekkers park there, taking the shadow out.

Comfortable and spacious accommodation. Helpful staff. Nice interior.

Upon checkout, we were asked to pay for an extra bed. The receptionist argued that it is hotel policy that is written in the rules on booking.com to prepare an extra bed when the number of visitors exceeds 2. We explained that we already booked for 3 people (2 adults + a toddler) and this is not correct. She agreed to drop the payment but it was not pleasant to have this conversation at the checkout.

The atmosphere here is lovely. Very cosy and comforting. The old walls and the new floors, excellent combination, well designed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good, nice coffee. The shower was very nice and warm,

We could not get the television to work. This could be the HDMI setting. We did not want to temper with the settings. We just decided not to watch TV, but be nice and quiet; we were very tired anyway. Therefore we welcomed the comfy beds for a good night sleep.

Fabulous restaurant and public areas. The dinner was excellent. We arrived a bit early and were offered a room where we could change for our bike ride - which was very generous

We had the Tower Suite which could have been fabulous but the room was a bit tired and in need of a refurb. No tea or coffee in the room. No fridge. I would have expected a bit more care in the rooms.

Room, location, historical, personal, bed is interesting I believe its tempura since I sink in it, not use to it but it was nice.

No fridge, airco in the room, spiderwebs on the lamps, no closet or something to hang shirts, room is quite basic for a room +

One of the best gardens I've seen with any hotel (and I've been at many of them). The only ones that would exceed this one are the resort in Uluru, Australia and the palace on the hill in Sintra. And the stars at 4 in the morning were fantastic

It was raining on the day I left and one is not allowed in the garden after sunset (which is a shame because of the stars)

the place looks amazing when you arrive, and when you enter it feels like a warm bath. friendly staff, quiet and peaceful place.

the walls between the rooms are thin, you can hear people closing doors and can be disturbing. but I have a noice issue… more personal

Nicely renovated castle tucked away in the woods. Great atmosphere, nice comfortable rooms, good food, and great service. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here! We will be coming back to stay again!

The breakfast was good, the room was a little noisy due to water flowing through the weir nearby, but the location is pretty with woods and the canal nearby.

The hotel is not near city centre amenities - cafe/restaurant, but this is the choice in staying in a more coutryside location.
