Van der Valk Hotel Stein Urmond

Close to Maastricht. Clean, well-appointed rooms, family-friendly. Our daughter loved the kids-only bathroom amenities. Our wishes for the room were taken into consideration. They have even put an extra bed free of charge, which we highly appreciated! The dinner buffet was ok, good breakfast.

Located next to a large chemical plant. The gym was closed both Saturday afternoon and Sunday ( Easter). Could have kept it open. It snot like you need staff there. The beds and pillows are not very comfortable. I was sinking in the middle of the mattress and I am NOT heavy. My husband slept on an extra bed and that seemed to be more comfortable.

The exterior of the hotel is rather off-putting, but once inside it is another story. Our room was large, the beds very comfortable. And the bathroom floor was heated! We ate supper at the hotel and the service was 100% perfect. But then came the breakfast buffet. I have travelled a lot but this one was one of the best. Well presented with a large choice. There was even a waffle iron to make your own waffles,

The entrance was not clearly marked.

My food, asparagus was too soft, no taste, semas like it was cooked hrs before and just heat up in microwave. So disappointed w that, esp that i was craving to eat asperges🫣 And no extra pillows that we used the throw pillows...

The location is closer to Germany and Belgium border. This allowed us to explore various options by car. Also a day in Roermond outlet is also nice. The bedroom was nice and cozy for a couple. The room had a balcony which is nice. The other facilities like coffee, tea, free water is available. The bathroom is really big and with relaxing shower.

The bed and pillows were not that comfortable

Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom with rain shower. The bar was fantastic with great beer and wine. Had bittenballen and fries with our drinks which was more than enough. You could have buffet or a la carte if you wanted. A perfect night's stay!

Nothing.

I really liked that pets are allowed and that there were no problems when they were barking. Also, it was easy to go outside with the dogs to take a walk with them. The breakfast was great with a lot of delicious food.

Service at the bar and at the breakfast buffet. Room, good bed. Clean and modern. Good televisie size.

A swimmingpool and sauna like in other vd valk where i was would have been nice. Earlier in morning fitness opening hours would be nice.

Close to my business meetings with a decent restaurant and great lunch buffet, nice walk out in the park nearby after business. The friendly staff is helping out with any question.

Rooms are nice, but the matraces are a little too soft

We stayed only one night and it was really good. Always spacious. There was a coffee machine for the morning. We didn’t use the installations but it seemed there was a big sport center. Free parking on site.

Really good locations, very convenient to visit the Christmas Market. The room was very spacious and the bed super comfortable. We added an additional bed for our son and still had plenty of room.
