Radisson RED Oslo Okern

Location was way better than I expected, as 2 different metro lines were within 7-8 minutes walk from the hotel. Nice and cozy rooms, great shower and one of the best hairdryer in the hotel I have ever had. Amazing breakfast full of different products and local touches.

Breakfast was till 10.30 one day, but already at 10.15 some products were finished and were not refilled (orange juice, salmon, butter etc.). Also, at 10.28 the kitchen staff said that the breakfast is finished, which in my opinion is not the correct approach, as everything should be available till the very end (in this case 10.30).

This hotel is VERY nice. But the friendlyness, helpfulness and attitude of the staff is what makes this hotel way better than any other hotel in Oslo in this price category. Don'y expect staff with fake smiles, which care more about their outer appearance than you. These are just ordinary people, but with are real, trustworthy dedication and effort to make your stay a very pleasant stay. And every one of them are just as dedicated. And you can immediately tell they love their job. You won't find a grumpy receptionist here. I travel a lot, and have stayed in most good hotels in Oslo. This and the hotel The Thief are by far the two best hotels in Oslo. But if you compare pricing, Radisson RED is 4X better than The Thief. And the food is even just as good here as at The Thief. There are not a lot of restaurant in the area, but there are some. I recommend downloading the Wolt app and have it ready before you arrive and eat in. The staff will for sure be asking you if they can give you plates and cutlery. Without exception the plates have even been warm. The beds here are very nice. No synthetic bedlinens that gives you static electric shock, and destroys electronics. If anyone at the hotel reads this: never ever fall for the trap of saving money on bad synthetic bed linens.

Breakfast was incredible. Rooms were clean and compact but had everything that was needed. Suitable for short stays. Staff were so nice and rooftop bar served some delicious cocktails

Little bit outside city centre but easy to get to the metro and bus to the airport almost at the door! We booked a double room but we're only able to get two single beds. Minor thing but would have been nice to get what we booked.

Great stay in a very nice hotel, breakfast was amazing along with the very friendly and informative staff. Rooms nice and clean.

Location to city centre is a short train ride or drive, Parking a bit expensive so opted to park in train station car park, Ask at desk for more information.

Very modern property, with lots of fancy features in the rooms. Strong shower. Excellent choice of food available at breakfast. There is a fantastic fitness centre in the basement - technically it is not part of the hotel but it is huge and newly built and has every type of equipment you could ever need. You can use it for a small daily fee.

The hotel is situated outside of Oslo. It is about 35 mins door to door on the metro from the centre. Uber is about 190 NOK from the centre but not usually available from the hotel to the centre and a taxi is ridiculously expensive (400-600 for a 10 min journey). The mirrors in the bedrooms are darkened and the blind goes up and down and is impossible to control. Staff on reception were friendly enough but not very knowledgable whenever you asked a question.

Excellent hotel: functional, good sound proofing, breakfast tastes very well, beds are super comfortable, interiors are modern and flashy, but not crazy :) time with taxi to downtown takes around 15min. Rooftop bar with external teracce are just fantastic - view over entire Oslo, especially in the direction of fjord. NB! next door there is a very nice italian restaurant.

there is no hand-made coffe machine at breakfast - this was a bit disappointing, as local automated machine did make quite OK coffe, but not the good one. Can survice without it, but highly recommend to hotel to add it.

During my stay at the Radisson Red Oslo Hotel, I had a wonderful experience that combined comfort and style flawlessly. Hotel is modern standard. Facilities are great, very clean & high quality. Staff are friendly, helpful. Breakfast is elite, fresh & atmosphere is nice ! 10-min walk to Metro & bus station. The are is somehow new, you can find Supermarket & few restaurants nearby (around 10-min walk)

Hotel is far from city center, but is is close to metro where you can reach anywhere easily. Safe was not working.

everything was update, clean, touch-based, modern and the staff was very nice in addition the flybus (airport bus) was 4 minutes away by walking , no need for aiport taxi.

- at night it was cold. I don’t know was the problem with me or the temperature regulating system.

Amazing room with a lot of amenities I wasn't expecting like coffee maker, water boiler, iron and ironing board. Curtains were very nice and the vibe of the room was great. It was nice having different modes for the lights. Breakfast is also great with lots of options and a splendid cafe area Appreciated very much the large window in my room.

The fan was working but did not integrate well with the existing controller and the temperature didn't seem to work. Staff was kind but very distant and formal, not necessarily a drawback depending on your preference. The room sadly didn't have a table and windows couldn't be opened except for a very small one. Terrace is sadly open only in the afternoon and the menu while having an ok choice regarding drinks it's not great for food. Lastly the television, while being good quality was quite limited due to the software and it was annoying having to login every time, also it did not support windows cast, which greatly reduced its usability.
