Scandic Grensen

Everything was fine overall. We stayed two times in this hotel - before and after our trip further north. The first time we were absolutely happy with the room, whereas the second time the room was not as good: much smaller (we couldn't squeeze our big suit case at the location it would fit, also almost all the shampoo bottles in the bathroom were kind of brocken, but still working though. Delicious breakfast, big choice of foods. Excellent location - within walking distance to all the best places in Oslo! Would definitely come again.

The woman at the reception was a bit rude. Something didn't work in the system, and we had to wait almost half an hour for our check in, while she didn't tell even sorry or explained why we had to wait so long.

We couldn't have dreamt about better location! Everything is close, metro station, tram, train station. Sightseeing is as simple as leaving the hotel. I spent the holidays with my husband and We were delighted by lovely staff, everyone was helpuful and nice 💖 We must appreciate breakfast in a seperate paragraph because that's what makes our stay in Scandic Grensen particularly amazing. Rich, nutritious and created to suit everyone's taste. Plenty of beverages from different types of coffee and tea to freshly made juices. When it comes to food we could choose savory options like delicious salmon or warm scrambled eggs as well as sweet - huge variety of cereal, cinnammon buns, wide range of yogurt. And cheese! Omg, yhe cheese! Our room was always clean and fresh, very quiet, considering the fact that it's a city centre. We loved the warm floor in the bathroom. Tltr: we had lovely time and ate very well 💖

We didn't like the way the lights in the room work. They are beautifully arranged but completely not intuitive 😅

Great location, staff were friendly, the buffet breakfast was fantastic. The room was basic but had everything we needed.

Some of the electrics were a bit weird, we somehow managed to stop all sockets by the bed from working by turning off a light but was fixed once housekeeping had been in. Bit of a smell coming from pipes in bathroom. Neither of these things had any real effect on our stay. Couldn’t open the window which would have been nice to circulate air.

The breakfast has been one of the best we ever had in a hotel! We loved the variety of foods (that cheese omelette was so so good!) and the idea you could make your own waffles :) The bed was soft and comfortable, the view form our upgraded room was very nice. We'll definitely come back to this hotel in our next trip to Oslo!

The room could have used a little bit more of storage space - we were actually ok because we stayed for only 3 days, hence we didn't really have a problem this time. The shower had two heads - one over head and the other one detectable. The over head wasn't working properly, but we managed to use the other one without issues.

Location was brilliant. Centre if everything close to public tranport, Metro train and trams couldnt be in the heart of the city anymore. The breakfast included in the price was exceptional, great way to save on the days costs because this brekkie will fill you up for the day! After traveling 27 hours and wanting a bigger room than we booked we got offered a free upgrade. So greatful. The budget rooms are great for a one nighter, we stayed for 3 and needed a little extra room!

To be picky our tea and coffee was not topped up with house keeping and there was no English Breakfast tea to be found anywhere! And that's a stretch.

Breakfast was fantastic! European with local elements. It was a pleasure to eat breakfast like this. The room was ok. Clean, equipped with TV, towels, shampoo and soap. Location is wonderful! In the very city center. There was no need to get any public transportation to get to all most important places in the city center. Right in the middle!

The bed was suppose to be 1 large double bed (151-180cm wide). There were two separated single beds next to each other. The shower is not physically separated from the rest of the bathroom so the water splashes all over. The is no possibility to open the window. There is not a single closet in the room, not mentioning the fridge.

Great little hotel great staff very helpful and great breakfast to start the day. Was there on business trip so a little more expensive than normal but everything that was needed. Perfect location

The price was high but in the hotels defence massive conference/exhibition in town but suspect better price when visiting. it is the supply and demand issue

the breakfast was fantastic each morning, lots of options and topped up well. check in was quick and easy, as well as friendly and warm. the room had a lovely view over the front of the city. nice sized bathroom. staff were brilliant in helping out and recommending place to go to eat. if we’re ever back in Oslo we will definitely be staying here again.
