The Tryst Beachfront Hotel

Fun spot right on the beach with popular bar/restaurant that had outdoor seating looking at the ocean. Being a smaller hotel, it felt more personal. Beds comfortable, showers hot. Free coffee in the foyer. Staff are outstanding. Thanks Jacob for taking care of all our needs! Location to so many restaurants within walking distance.

Large windows facing the ocean didn’t open (probably security issue to keep people off the ledge/roof). Music every night from bar outside our window, had not expected - but it is a young clientele. Also music started around 11 a.m. when on the beach, not peaceful.

Awesome food/drinks/atmosphere. Great bar/lounge area right on the beach. Great location. Friendly service.

Room was a lil small but we only spent a night so was no big deal.

Beach chairs pulled away at five pm no matter what! got there 15 minutes before five coming from touring the island sun still up beach still busy don’t get it! Restaurant every time some sort of problem do you have a reservation you can’t just sit in this outside area need a reservation nobody sitting in the outside area told restaurant not part of hotel wish I had been told that rude remark before we spent $140.00 on our liquor bill! lounge chairs in apt need to be power washed could use a paint job inside to

We took 6 people and booked the 3 bedroom signature apartment. Let me just say this when I opened the door I was blown away. For what we paid compared to where we stayed was amazing. Like many others I seen so many bad reviews I was nervous leading up to but when I opened the door all that changed. Not sure about the rooms others had but the saying you get what you pay for applies. I was amazed by our room fully functional modern 3 bedrooms with a pull out couch that can fit another 2 people. All in all I would recommend this place as well stay again. We paid for valet parking it was 15 bucks a night also worth it because trying to find parking else where is close to the same price and hard to find.

Only issue we had and I do mean only is that they took a little longer to get our room cleaned. Check in was at 4 we didn’t get in our room until 5:50. But they said they was short of staff and once I seen the room I understand what took so long especially if it was only one person as we was told.

This was a great hotel. It's right on the beach, your front and back door! It's beautiful, it's, kept, really clean, but what makes the Tryst hotel is the staff? This is friendly staff from the front desk, to the restaurant (The Wicked Lily), to housekeeping. Christian, Jacob, Dominic (Front Desk, we're great) Jonathan, (Wicked Lily great). I wish I could remember every ones name. Sure, I could tell you about small issues like not enough hangers, or you can read small rooms, but please who cares, you don't come to PR for that you come for the beach, mountain, outdoor living and they have great outdoors living with beach chairs and umbrella provided! Great value for the price! You can walk around to many places for food, coffee, shopping, I would suggest trying going to Old San Juan, El Yunque rain forest.

The location is quite nice near restaurants, and have direct access to the public beach, few minutes in car from old San Juan. Extraordinary room ocean view. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and nice they gave some great advices on where to go and what activities they as locals grew up doing. the bar was on the expensive edge but with some seriously good cocktails and moctails. Free beach towels.

Parking is kinda hectic and valet only. Lack of sand washing facilities by the beach access or anywhere before the room. Room window can be much cleaner, as the room have a phenomenal ocean view it’s such a shame not to see it will because of a dirty window.

The Location was great right on the beach, the bed was so comfortable. The room is super small but it was clean. Now on our last night there we saw a dang on roach. So that was my only issue. I was very upset about that. Good thing it was the last night because I would have checked out ASAP LOL. I also got sick and they let us purchase another night and we did not have to change rooms. So I may stay there again when I go back to Puerto Rico.

Once again, the restaurant Wicked Lilly staff was terrible and even though I highly recommend their WL hamburger, our food was served hot for our hamburger french fries was cold

Although our visit was greatly impacted by COVID19, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is literally on the beach. We couldn't see the beach from our room, but there was easy access. We were right on the strip and had restaurants and stores within a few feet. The staff at the front desk were always nice and accommodating. The apartment itself was spacious and provided a great stay.

There were a few drawbacks during our stay: the kitchen was infested with ants, paper towels and toilet paper have to be requested, along with extra blankets, towels and washcloths. We did not use the housekeeping service, but we were told that it was available. All in all, at $200 per night ... it wasn't a bad stay but we would have liked to have a pool and possibly TV's in every bedroom. All in all, it was a good stay.

I hate to say this because we had such a great time, but the thing I didn't like was the parking. I know that this is not the first time that your hearing this. In addition to this, I received a parking ticket. I don't think that this is fair to guests, especially not being from the area and not knowing the rules. I was parked right in front of the building so I thought it was ok.
