Holiday Inn Express San Juan Condado, an IHG Hotel

Hotel is well located, 7-8 minutes away (driving) from old city, around good restaurants in the Main Street (my favorite was Red Mango), hotel room was cleaned everyday and all the supplies replaced. Employees super friendly and do everything to help. also the offer beach-chair, umbrella and towels if you are going to the beach.

two things: 1- breakfast, too expensive for what they offer. for the day I stayed it was offered: hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and sausage;break, only one type of fruit, one that was banana and other apple. coffee and cereals… no variation. next time I would book the option without breakfast fee. 2- the distance between when the location where the beachchair is located at the beach (around 7-8 minutes walking), so even the beach in pretty close, if you want to use the complementary beachchair and umbrellas you will need to walk.

The staff were so helpful and nice to us. I even was given barber shop recommendations for my teen son. Breakfast was excellent every morning and the guy serving the food was always extra nice to us. The beds were extremely comfortable. The housekeepers did a great job and always gave us extra trash bags because we tended to accumulate alot each day. Id say Holiday Express San Juan Condado was the best hotel experience. Im definitely a fan of Holiday Inn now and will think twice about paying for over priced 5star hotels in the future. Im so glad we picked this hotel. My family agreed. Also price was very affordable for these type of accommodations.

Perfect location in Condado. Cartier on the corner, easy walking to restaurants. Easy to get an Uber to OSJ. We had a view of the inlet from our 6th floor room. Fruit water available all day. Quiet hotel, room and bed was perfect. Breakfast was typical holiday inn breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone visiting or going on a cruise (with the one negative of a high credit card hold that equals the cost of the entire stay).

I don't understand holds on credit cards. It's the only negative. I travel all over the world and have never prepaid for a hotel and had a week hold on my credit card. The hold was the same amount as the entire stay. Plan on double the amount of your stay to hold up your credit card balance, even if you prepay! It honestly will make me think before staying there again.

The location was great & the services of the hotel met my needs perfectly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also liked the handy convenience store within the hotel & nearby, and the included breakfast. The pool was great to do some evening swimming/ workout followed by relaxing in the jacuzzi.

Parking had to be paid for separately. Though everything was functional, the caulking of the fixtures in the room appeared to be done by amateurs, and the elevators need servicing.

This hotel’s location is excellent. It’s very close to the main street of Condado and close to Condado beach. The day staff were friendly and they were able to accommodate my request for two beds. The room was clean and had a mini fridge. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The hotel provides a free breakfast near the lobby which had a good selection of items. The hotel has its own section of Condado Beach which provides lounge chairs and umbrellas. The staff at the reception desk can give you towels (they are small though). The hotel has a pool that is open but I did not use it so I can’t review.

The whole floor where my room was located smelled like mildew very badly. The shower in my room leaked water through the cracks onto the floor. I had to use all of my towels to soak it up. I wish this property would have free or discounted parking for their guests. I know other hotels in Condado do. I let the staff know about all of this and they thanked me for bringing to their attention, but that was all. Just a suggestion, more coffee creamer and juice options for breakfast. Also, the milk for my cereal was room temp so maybe keep in a mini fridge would help.

Breakfast was amazing with hot food options,, beds were comfortable and rooms clean. The staff was super fun especially Jose and Maria greeting us everyday and asking about our day. All staff was great and made sure our stay was good and we had everything we needed. Hotel is only 1 block to the beach and walking distance to tons of shopping places and restaurants. Parking is $20 per day across the street and easy to get to. We will use this hotel again!!!!

It was a good location. The staff, housekeeping, cooks, front desk, and everybody else treated us nice.

I didn't like the fact that the smoke detector kept going off. I have asthma, take treatments, do not smoke. Was told in the beginning that I would not get my refund if caught smoking. I'm allergic to cigarettes smoking. However maintenance came and fixed the problem. My children were upset and wanted another room. But we stayed in the same room, and allowed maintenance to enter. Other than that, it would've been nice if a exhaust fan was in the bathroom.

the breakfast in the morning stated until 10am. On the first day we got there 10 min. beforehand and did not have the luxury of 2nd’s. That was our fault. The next morning we arrived at 9:30, they started tearing down at 9:45. A guest came in at 9:50 and was only able to a pastry… ALL hot food had been taken back with almost everything else. I needed butter and jam for my toast, it was already taken back. I mentioned this to the front desk that it was 9:58(I showed him my phone) and that the area was COMPLETELY shut down with no staff in site and only coffee available. I’m sorry but the staff should not remove anything before 10am as stated.

Breakfast buffet exceptional a little of everything . great services. Location its close walking distance to everything , condado beach , pharmacy , restaurants etc, The rooms was clean and comfortable ,

Parking there is no parking you have to park across the building by the white line pretty much there was never a parking space due that is in the condado everyone parks on the surrounding so you have to keep and eye when someone pullout to be able to park near the hotel.
