Hotel Cubo

Many Thanks to Luka and Nejc - both were extremely helpful, kind, knowledgeable of the city and always eager to help when we had questions. They really made our stay enjoyable. As for the restaurant (for breakfast)......WOW - the BEST breakfast we've ever had throughout Europe! The food was absolutely delicious (I could have licked the plate clean it was that good), and the presentation was second to none! It was so good and perfect, we took photos and asked to speak to the Chef personally to thank her for the outstanding breakfast. We will be coming back, we will be staying at Hotel Cubo and we will highly recommend to our family and friends.

Street noise (loud cars/trucks) throughout the night and for some reason, the AC fan would make a lot of noises (turning on and off every couple of minutes) starting late at night - not sure what it was, but required me to get up and turn it off - which then got the room too hot.

We booked an adjoining suite and twin room for our family of four. The suite was incredibly spacious with cute round bed in bay window. Stylish decor and comfy beds. Complimentary mini bar was appreciated. Staff were friendly, accessible and prompt. Location was great, Central but not noisy, with a supermarket across the road. Effective external shutters to accommodate the bay window.

The upholstery needs repairing on the bed. We visited in Winter - the Aircon was a little warm in the kids room and freezing in our room - seems that the in room thermostat is redundant. However the staff quickly brought us a heater that did the job fine.

Good location, so lovely being close to the old town. Seemed definitely the better end of town. The breakfast was amazing! Fresh produce used and beautifully presented. I looked at other reviews, some said the breakfast portions was on the small side, however I found they were perfect :) you could order as many as you wanted so if you was a big breakfast person you would not go hungry. The staff were helpful, polite and went beyond to help in any way. We was given a map on our arrival, they helped book our shuttle from/ to the airport. Good advice of top restaurants and places to visit. Good to have a mini fridge in our room, the mini bar and food was complimentary. The bed was low but very comfortable, I slept very well for the week.

The carpet in the room was well worn with some staining and could do with replacing. TV channels are very limited.

the staff is super helpful and friendly i love how they approach to u and welcome u with a big smile on their face. The breakfast is superbly delicious definitely "Include Breakfast" when u book this hotel, it´s really worth it! and the location is very good too, its easy to get to places where i want. And i love the idea of how they send u a QR Code through ur email as ur keycard, just remember to save into ur phone. i would definitely coming back to this hotel again *saved in my hotel list*

The location was perfect for walking to the big attractions in Old Town, plenty of great restaurants and cafes in walking distance. The Junior Suite on the second floor might be a little noisy at night for some older folk, but we found it beautiful and exceptionally big for the price. Staff were super friendly and had perfect english for travelling monoglots :)

Honestly nothing, the Junior Suite was the best value for money room I think we've ever booked. There was occasional street noise at night, and the bed in that room is circular, which I suppose some people might dislike.

It was convenient walk to the river and old town. The rooms were nice, and bed was comfortable.

The mobile key had some issues (which the gentleman at reception fixed), and the parking situation was a little nerve wracking. There is no place to pull in a car and unload baggage. It ended up not being a big deal as we pulled into a taxi parking spot with our flashers on and they valet parked our car, but it being our first time in Slovenia, we were concerned about parking somewhere that wasn’t ok.

Clean and modern interiors make this a very comfortable hotel in which to stay. The rooms were a good size (though not especially large) and had all the key facilities such as safe storage and wardrobe space. Mobile phones were provided and access to the room was via a QR code - it created an impression of a tech-savvy hotel. Bathroom was a good size and everything worked well (especially shower pressure). The bed was very comfortable and an exterior blind keeps the light out for those that need a good nights sleep, The location is ideal, though it is not quite within the old town. However, the latter is only a short 5-6mins walk away and the surrounding area appears quieter than would be the case nearer the old town. Check in/out was very quick and efficient.

A very warm and helpful welcome, including a drink in the beautiful lobby and explanations/map of Ljubljana from a staff member. The room was modern with luxury décor and quality/functional furnishings. All minibar drinks and snacks were free. The included breakfasts are a la carte upscale 5-star quality with great variety and no limit to what you can order. The breakfast room is amazingly decorated with high quality furnishings. One of the best breakfast experiences ever. Free bikes available and very helpful staff. Almost everything was outstanding!

The only issue with the room was the lighting. The light at the entry and closet did not work and they were unsuccessful in fixing it. Light control in bathroom should have 2 circuits, not all or nothing. Lighting not good for looking in mirror. Only sink counter available in bathroom to put stuff but at least was good size.

This is my second stay at Hotel Cubo, the prior one being in 2016, and the hotel is as good as it ever was. The room is quiet and spacious, excellent wifi, comfortable bed, ample desk space. The breakfast was excellent. It is now a la carte but the selections are superb. Coffee was excellent. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is a 5' walk from old town and 5' from Preseren Square and Tromostovje (triple bridge). It is close to the bars and restaurants along the banks of the Ljubljanica but far from the street noise. I would come back here next time.

The location is excellent, right downtown. Superb noise cancellation; you are on a busy street but can't hear anything. Breakfast is a la carte and delicious! No significant portions, so if you are visiting from the USA, order double :) We stayed in a suite, so the room was extra large, the bed was round and massive, remote-operated roller blinds, oversized shower, a big tub... everything was great. They also have valet parking, which is super convenient. We especially appreciated a pet kit for our dog; extra thoughtful! Also, I requested prosecco and strawberries to wait for us in the room as a surprise toast for my husband's 40th birthday, which was nicely arranged and as ordered.
