Lesar Hotel Angel - Member of Hip Hotels

This is a little gem in the old town, with a very homey atmosphere. My room (which had to be climbed by stairs only) had a slim view over the rooftops and was super-comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding for such a small place, in terms of both variety and quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Arriving in your own car is a bit of a headache. In the absence of rain, one can probably carry the luggage from a nearby (muddy) open-air parking lot (21 Euro/day) at about 500m distance. Unless one is not alone, there is basically no way of unloading any closer. It is not the hotel’s fault but more of a side-effect of the city’s rather draconian policies in that regard. On the weekends there might be some free street parking, subject to availability. The front desk can tell you where to look.

just a word of caution (not a criticism): it is necessary to walk about 50 meters to the hotel from where a taxi lets you off. All of the lovely rooms are up at least one full flight of stairs, some more. If you can climb the stairs, the hotel is amazing, but if you can't climb the stairs, the hotel is not for you.

The complimentary breakfast is outstanding and the room where breakfast is served is cozy and welcoming. The location is great - close to everything and within walking distance to everything. The room was small, but great for our purposes. We didn't spend much time in the room b/c we were exploring Ljubljana, Lake Bled and Bohinj. The staff was the most kind and friendly staff I've ever encountered; Clement in particular. The niceness and attitude of the staff goes a long way in making a stay memorable.

I can't really think of anything that could be better. Of course an elevator would be nice, but we did just fine without one. Clement was very kind and took up & down all of our luggage.

The room was light, large and beautifully furnished. It had a lobby area for shoes etc and a large bathroom. It was perfectly located to explore the old town. The staff were friendly and really helpful with food recommendations. The breakfast buffet was excellent - lots of fresh fruit, breads, pancakes and hot food. All spaces were clean and well looked after. There was a little garden with a number of terraces out the back where we could sit and enjoy the sun.

Everything! Beautiful spacious room with excellent facilities including great coffee, free water etc. Wonderful bathroom and powerful shower. Bathrobes. Generous with everything. Stylish and interesting decor and building. Quite quirky! Amazing breakfast, absolutely top quality food for all tastes and desires in a gorgeous setting. Helpful, welcoming hosts - customers are valued. Perfect location for exploring Ljubljana. Thank you for a brilliant experience.

Perfect location for a city break in Ljubljana, close to the main pedestrian attractions. The hotel is a real boutique hotel where stayed in the penthouse suite. The types of equipment we found in the room lived up to the standards of 5-star hotels. The breakfast was very good, and the staff was attentive.

The floor heating in the bathroom was strangely hot, and more generally, the room was overheated, and we could only decrease the temperature by opening the windows. (We stayed here in February.)

This was the perfect hotel for our four-night stay in Ljubljana: centrally located and quiet, with helpful staff, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. The tea and cakes provided in the afternoon at no extra charge and the mini bottle of champagne and bottles of mineral water in our room's fridge - again free of charge - were very nice added touches.

The location was excellent, just off the main tourist area and close to all the bars and restaurants. All the members of staff we met were friendly and helpful, there were umbrellas next to the door you could borrow if it was raining.

It would have been nice if there had been a small bar guests could get a drink in the evening from. But this is only a small things as the nearest bars were about 30 seconds away.

The location is excellent as it is just at the start of the pedestrianised areas of the old centre, a very short walk from the car park recommended by the hotel. Breakfast was very nice. Room was fair size, had good air conditioning and was quiet. No view but there is a nice garden at the back. The hotel smelled really nice and staff were very friendly and informative.

Shower over a very high sided bath! But it did have great water pressure!

The location was perfect, right in the centre but the hotel felt very peaceful. The hotel is beautiful and the room was great, on the top floor and a good size. The breakfast was great and we had a nice drink at the bar when we arrived. The best part was the staff, who were excellent, particularly a guy called Clemence, who greeted us on arrival and was really helpful, taking his time to chat with us.
