Hostal Campus

We were looking for a place that would be reasonably priced and would not cause problems with parking. Hostel Campus is clearly the place. Getting there is easy, and one avoids driving through the city centre, and there are ample parking opportunities in the streets around (we managed to park right at the door). We received very hearty welcome and check-in procedure was easy and friendly; we also received plenty of information and materials about the city of Burgos (special thanks to the person on duty on the day of our arrival! - you are great :)). A few cafes in the vicinity serve breakfast (although not very early in the morning...) and evening snacks/drinks. Historical Monasterio de Santa Maria la Real de las Huelgas is 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and in 25 minutes or so of pleasant walk along the river one reaches the historical city centre. For a short visit, including exploration of the Burgos area, this hotel is definitely recommended.

From the warm welcome to the local information given the start to our stay was excellent. Free parking was plentiful. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and everything was provided. The local area had some really good and cheap bars to enjoy tapas. The walk into the centre of Burgos was about 15/20 mins following the river through a beautiful tree lined park. Burgos itself is a must with fantastic architecture and many bars. We would thoroughly recommend Hostal Campus and will return.

There is a plenty of free street parking ; The room was comfortable and large; The walking to the city center takes ~25 minutes. Everything was very clean, with every-day cleaning ; The person in the reception was very kind and helpful.

There were no warm blankets ; Also, the hot water was not really hot, just warm... Also, in our bathroom there was no cork in the bath...

Breakfast was not available however we knew this before booking as we have stayed at the hotel before. This is a great value for money accommodation in a quiet location but within a good walk from the main city, cathedral etc. The private parking was brilliant.

The weather during our stay could have been a little better!!

Nice friendly and helpful man at reception. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good location, about a 20 minute walk into the town through the park. Plenty of free parking on the road right outside the hotel. Really good value for money.

Nothing to dislike really. There is no food option but there are nice bars close to the hotel.

The Hotel is situated just a 20 minute walk from the beautiful city of Burgos. The walk is via the beautiful park alongside the river and we were lucky to be in the city when a festival was taking place with lots of dancing and an amazing firework display. The secure underground parking was perfect for our motorcycles.

Reception went out of his way to make sure I could access wifi, thanks for your extra support. Simplicity, quiet, a little fridge, toiletries. A small grocery nearby.

Atmosphere of suburb, no Cafe open before 8am. Camino tricky to locate.

Miguel was awesome checking in. Answered all questions even before I asked. Showed me around. Made sure I was comfortable and satisfied with my room and the facilities. On-site laundry was an added bonus for someone walking the camino.

All was great!

Short walk from Burgos centre, tapas bar across the road and a very good gourmet pitza house 2 min walk away, secure parking underneath the hostel for motorcycles, I think we would use it again

It was next to the concert area that we wanted to go for a music festival, so for us the location was great. The staff was lovely and the room was good enough for a short stay. Recommended.
